Just as Stephen Harper saw the impossibility of a win in appeasing the Indians, these people see the same problem. I don t think so. I just think the mandate of the Commission is confusing and they are constrained by things they do not want to know and be forced to report. The whole thing is very politically sensitive. Several weeks back they were struggling with determining which stories were “appropriate” for them to hear. It is a big mess. The media should be acknowledging that Harper was right on this — as he was right on so many things. Carolyne Bennett is being put through the ringer. She would probably make a decent Minister of Health or something, but they have instead given her this loser portfolio. I think they are side-lining their handful of more experienced MPs in favor of pretty young women and ethnics. I believe they do not want to give the old guard too much power.

The honest commissioners are resigning as fast as they realize that simple truth because the general Indian population will never accept that simple fact and thus the inquiry is ultimately doomed. Eventually the commission will settle in with a board of slime who are content to collect their per diems and postpone their report. There will be no report before the 2019 election and perhaps there will never be a report. It doesn’t matter whether there ever is a report because there will never be a report that honestly states what the problem is.

After 8 months of listening to the same old story, the commissioners know now they can’t lay this one on whitey as per Justin instructions so better to bamboost now rather than later.
