This a pistol round, a very large pistol round, but not to be confused with a 50cal rifle round. Completely different animals.

I feel sorry for the parents of these kids. Stupid is as stupid does and this takes the cake. Kids nowadays are given an overwhelming diet of everyone's-a-superhero-nobody-gets-hurt fantasy and have no idea of the consequences of getting snapped in a mouse trap. They shouldn't have been anywhere near a Desert Eagle handgun without oodles of appropriate training and enough experience to demonstrate respect for firearms. Now a baby will be born without a father and the parent's of both kids will be haunted (as will the girl who pulled the trigger). Tragic foolish waste.

I've fired a .50 cal Desert Eagle at the range. It is incredibly loud. That is its only redeeming feature.

Really it is just a gun for people to own to compensate for having smallish private parts. Sort of like pit-bull terriers and sports cars with lousy mufflers.

If they weren't actually trying to drain the shallow end of the gene pool (perhaps a worthy goal), they might have considered a test shot into a duplicate book without the male moron behind it. The zero sum gain here is that the genetic material of these two has already duplicated.

There is a youtube video where they shoot a Desert Eagle into a stack of paper to determine the penetration.

Now she is being charged with second degree manslaughter and could serve up to 14 years,(which isn't the "bright side",dammit).
