About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

There were commie sympathizers among the Democrats then already. And we are surprised that our prime minister has a certain amount of respect for communism.
I have a colleague at work who was on one of those boats when he was 7. His parents made arrangements for him and his brother. They lived on a tablespoon of water a day for several days. Boat motor died - they drifted. In sight of land a Thai coast guard boat arrived and started to tow them to safety. One guy at the front of the boat stood by with a knife in case the Thai had thoughts about taking them further out to sea to be cast adrift. Canada placed him and his brother in Calgary where they grew up and became engineers. They brought their parents over.
I asked him about the young people I saw in films with the red scarves; they're the young communists and they were all over the place. He never joined because he wouldn't renounce his Catholicism.
Netflix has a good 2 hour show "the last days of Viet Nam"
Is it any different from lefties today selling our societies out to islam?
No.
The Obama Administration pulled a similar trick with the abandonment of Iraq which allowed the rise of ISIS, the horrendous Syrian civil with the re-establishment of a strong Russian regional foothold and a huge rise in Iranian hegemony that puts the Middle East's only real democracy and World oil supplies under future nuclear risk. Like my mama always said: a traitor is as a traitor does.
In the 2004 election, John Kerry made a speech about his service in Vietnam. It went something along the lines of; "It was Christmas 1968 and we were in Cambodia fighting Mr. Nixon's war" The big problem there was that in Christmas 1968, Nixon wasn't President, Lyndon Johnson was. The same Lyndon Johnson whose friends and family profited enormously from Viet Nam through their shareholdings of Bell Helicopter and General Dynamics (both of Texas. The same Lyndon Johnson who had his predecessor murdered in Dallas in 1963.
The Democrat party has been led by vile human beings for eons now. Their only concern has been to enrich themselves under the guise of "caring" for every day Americans.
The North Vietnamese and Viet Cong had absolutely no intention of honouring the peace treaty. Soon after the American POWs were released (at least the ones that were officially known as such), the NVA and VC were back to their old tricks.
Part of the agreement that was signed in January 1973 included that the ceasefire be monitored by foreign military personnel. Canada contributed a number of soldiers to that group. It didn't take long before the communists started kidnapping some of the peace monitors, two of which, I recall, being Canadian. That didn't go over well in Parliament but PET, being PET, waffled his way through that one.
The monitors weren't in country for very long as the arrangement became unworkable. After it fell apart, the shooting started again. That was around the time that Nixon resigned, Ford took office, and Congress played its favourite game: CYA.

John Kerry made a speech about his service in Vietnam.
John "Swift Boat" Kerry made his reputation by addressing Congress after being decorated. In his speech, he openly denounced his country's policies.
So much for loyalty.
"Getting the hell out of there was on of the few good things Obama did."
I don't think that getting another 100,000 or more Iraqis killed was all that good but communists like you enjoy that sort of thing. Pulling out prolonged the war. It didn't end it.
Obama absolutely made a not great situation orders of magnitude worse by pulling out. If U.S. boots had remained on the ground in Iraq, Iragi troops would not have been overrun and inadvertently help arm enemy ISIS combatants with new American military equipment. Iran was emboldened with their border nemesis choking itself on new internal turmoil - they were free to run with a redoubled nuke effort and directly support Hezbollah and other terror organizations carry out their murderous operations. The first time Syria used chemical weapons the U.S. would have been able to quickly respond and possibly decisively remove Assad without the heartbreaking horror that was ruthlessly carried out against Syrian citizens while your frigg'n hero's, Obama, Hillary and Kerry, kept their cowardly silence. Any suggestion that Obama's gutless foreign policy was actually a good thing is utterly reprehensible and displays acute ultracrepidarianism (the word of the day).
The point not addressed is the USA illegally invaded Iraq under
false pretenses. Saddam Hussein never possessed weapons of mass
destruction which was proven by numerous onsite inspections by
UN inspectors prior to American invasion and post invasion non
were found. The lies used against Saddam were similar to current
lies about Assad using chemical weapons against his own people.
The entire middle east chaotic situation with resultant millions
of refugees flooding Europe was caused by USA doing the bidding of
the real criminals, Saudi Arabia. I expect history will not be kind
to America over their actions in the middle east. Trump was correct
pre election when he said America should withdraw and bring the troops
home but the democrats need war to provide cover for their numerous
crimes so they push for more war.
re the bell helicopter and general dynamics connection; is that kinda like the chaney-halliburton iraq contractors connection?
hint: they ALL do it.
