Camp Grounded.

Woodstock has risen from the dead.

It's a zombie that wants to eat your brain and leave you brainless.

This camp reminds me of the Whirling Dervishes of Turkey, that is, brainless and mindless spinning.

Neverland returns

FFS.......

What? No group seks?

Hey! Here's an idea ... what if we can monetize ... "The burning man movement" into a year round camp for urban Millennials who never skipped a rock over flat water EVER in their pathetic electronic lives ?

But...you can just....do this stuff. Yourself. At any state or provincial park or private campground.

But you get a friendship bracelet!

So, basically an outdoor hipster douchebag convention for the pathetic offspring of helicopter parents who never let them do this kid stuff when they were kids.

I also noted an alarming lack of their much vaunted "diversity" in the photos.

Cultural appropriation everywhere.

I didn't see any beer. Are these folks intellectually handicapped? Looks like something my kids did when they were 8 to 10 years of age.

So, Camp Ashley Madison.

You Sir, are indeed perceptive.

Just what I need...

Surprised that no one commented on the price for 3 and a half days of fun in the forest. Well, it's $695 + 31.00 + your transportation costs, say another $200 which includes parking (more if you're renting a Prius or flying in from LA) So, roughly $900 USD. You get to stay in the Girls cabin (bunk beds, 7 remaining for 5/19) or the Boys Cabin (bunk beds, no vacancies for 5/19 session) or the "Gendered" Cabin (sold out).....

No drugs, no alcohol, no phones allowed. Adults only (not defined). Such fun. No reviews from last years outings.

I initially thought this was satire! the fact that it is real says a lot about where our society is going. time for beans, bullets and bullion!

The Manson Family lives on.....

They're so cute at that age.

I was reading about a spa the other day that has been around since the 1960s, and back in the day was THE place for the big stars to spend a couple of weeks losing weight for a movie. Everybody went there. Some lady bought it a few years ago, and she said that these days its not a fat farm anymore, its a burnout farm. The people coming there can't get any leaner or stronger, they're at the very peak of physical health. And they are burnt the hell out.

So it comes as zero surprise that there is summer kid's-style camp for 20s-30s age adults.

Consider the uproar in the Canadian media this week, as the cultural appropriation sh1tstorm continues. Guys with 20 years in are losing their jobs over a friggin' TWEET here.

Now consider that California has been like that since the 1990s. If you don't wear the Liberal mask and wear it just right, your seven figure income is -over-, baby. That's some serious pressure. A lot of people burn out.

So, when your life is work, and work is a shark tank, where do you go on holiday? Kid's camp sounds pretty good.

Also remember that the closest most of these people get to actual children is television. There aren't any little kids around where they live. Maybe the maid has one, but she leaves the kid at home.

summer camp? I wouldnt know. my old man was a textbook Irish drunk so there was never any money for anything but hand-me-down clothes and ill fitting footwear.

I wonder how long I would last in a place like that ripe for
'social commentary' . . . .

oh, and speaking of asteroids, the next episode of NOVA May 24 (on the hated PBS) will report on the 7,000 tonne pc of rock that hit Russia back in 2013 or whenever. also of interest, Tunguska.

think I'll use my money to play summer hockey and increase my already bloated "carbon footprint" instead

I guess these people never thought of just driving out into the bush till they can no longer get a cell phone signal and then setting up a tent for a few days. Now my taste runs more towards rustic cabins which actually have cold running water (but no electricity). Best yet my pager and cell phone just work as a GPS unit and camera. People know where to find me but driving many miles over back country potholed logging roads is not something anyones ever done to try to entice me back to work during my summer break.

Never went to summer camp, just did summer camping trips with my parents. Old style tent which required one to chop down 4-5 small trees first to make tent poles and, if one was really feeling energetic, chop down even more trees to make a rough but useful log table. Judging from the people featured in their ad, I hope they all stay in California.

No reviews??? That's only because they haven't found the bodies yet.

I don't recall these girls in the 60s wearing bras.

Typewriters? Will the SJWs know what those are?

"What? No group seks?"

I'm pretty sure that's the "play really, really hard" part.
