Some Beach, Somewhere

CBC;

A body found less than a kilometre from the Manitoba border in Minnesota is believed to be that of an asylum seeker who died of hypothermia, police say.
[…] Members of the sheriff’s office, with assistance from the U.S. Border Patrol, found the body of a woman near Noyes, Minn., on Friday around 3 p.m. CT. She was found in a ditch not far from the Canadian border, west of Highway 75, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
A preliminary autopsy report said 57-year-old Mavis Otuteye, who police believe is a citizen of Ghana, died from hypothermia.

Terry Glavin, call your office.

  1. I thought everyone knew that Manitobans live in igloos year round and have to cuddle up with polar bears to stay warm.
Why did Trudeau’s immigrant parka outreach program fail to save her …?

  2. Was she travelling alone? I doubt it, but if she had been with anyone else, wouldn’t they have reported it once they had made it across? I know, I know.

“gellen asks… Was she travelling alone?”

on a treacherous walk across the Canada-U.S. border,
and still learning to get along without the 10 fingers and

He gets to stay in Canada.

  4. Re: Alan Kurdi never had a hope of reaching Canada.
Amazing how it took so long for people to come to their senses.
I’m too tired to go into the story tonight, however I do recall that one year later, on the anniversary of death, (Died Sept 2-15) the CBC and Radio Canada were still using this story to boost Liberal pop.
Naw, there’s no fake news at CBC!!

  5. Nice comment you left there, Kate….:^))
Glavin is the reason I finally cancelled my Citizen subscription around that time…

  6. She will never get to launch a halal lawsuit, build her own IED or help set up a terrorist attack. Thanks cold weather.

Trudeau called them to come offering sanctuary, he is personally responsible for her death, and should step down!

  8. I think the Saskatoon Police Service ought to be investigated over this freezing death……..

  9. and the Thunder Bay Police, the OPP and RCMP. (no cops left out, hurt feelings and all)

  10. Isn’t this an argument for the benefits of Global Warming ? Making border-hopping safer in the Northern latitudes ?

  11. The famous photo of little Aylan Kurdi looks like it was posed. Some activist took that poor little kid’s body and placed it in that position.
If he had just washed up on shore it wouldn’t have looked so photo-worthy,so another manipulator did his stuff.I wonder who the S.O.B. was?

  12. any time an acquaintance bytches about how cold it gets in Canuckistan, I point out 2 things:
cold temps that sink down a meter into the earth kill off innumerable nasty bugs to the point they gain ground only to be clobbered by another winter.
Im a child of the 50s, the first 5 yrs of my time in this realm were spent in an uninsulated wood frame house where the central heat consisted of the kitchen stove. translation, my metabolism developed right from the start to tolerate the cold. I can still pig out and since last Christmas DROPPED 15 pounds by burning it all off in body heat.
    etc etc.
    anything else is whining wussness.

  13. Firstly, sorry about the double post …. it’s very slow to put a comment up on SDA for some reason.
I too am a child of the 50s … born in 43 … I too lived with central heat being the wood stove in kitchen where we also bathed in a large galvanized tub. There was no other place to wash. One cold water tap. All hot water came from the top of the stove.
We had no car … we walked everywhere or took the bus. We were so poor, I didn’t get a bike until I was about 10 years old. That helped with getting to school when it wasn’t snowing. Later on when things improved … we lived in two bedroom apartments … mom and dad and three boys. At least we have heat and running hot water. No TV … just a radio and a telephone that you told the operator what number you want to call. That was the extent of technology at that time.
Our parents paid little attention to us beyond food, clothing and a place to sleep. They didn’t meet with our teachers … ever. They were busy surviving … that is what I learned from them … how to survive. That meant self-reliance. I have no regrets … My upbringing helped me become taught, resourceful and grateful for opportunities ….
Compare my ild with the current generations. It will make you sick if you truly understand where we are headed.

  14. Woo Hoo!
I suggest we declare a national holiday to celebrate this victory for sovereignty.

  15. Call me insensitive but I’m supposed to give a damn? Well I don’t. I didn’t ask any of them to come here. We have enough issues to deal with.
