    They talk circles around the core of the problem, touching briefly on some key points, but ultimately refuse to recognize these are the actions of ONLY intolerant leftists. Here is MSNBC, a supposed news organization, claiming this has been ongoing for years but they still don’t have a clue who these anti-free speech people are, passing them off as just being kids. Great investigative reporting, you partisan hacks.

  3. No surprise here. If you look at the timeline of what happened last Saturday it’s obvious the Berkeley city government colluded with antifa . I’m guessing the antifa guys mask up because many of them are employed by either the university or the city or another public agency in the Bay Area. Two of them have already been exposed.

  6. They call themselves the anti-fascist “Anti-Fa.” They are actually Anti First Amendment. They are the modern day Leftist, Progressive Black Shirted version of the 1930’s storm troopers of the National Socialist German Workers Party.
    They are members of “By Any Means Necessary.” They will shut up anyone that opposes them by any means necessary. Everyone wonders why they can attack people with impunity and riot? They are domestic terrorists. Berkeley is just like the bad old days in Mississippi, when the Democrat Mayor was a member in good standing of the Democrat domestic terrorist organization, the KKK, civil rights proponents were harassed, attacked, and even killed. The police are told to do nothing, and nothing is exactly what they do.

    Looking at attacks from 1970 to 2012 is hardly helpful with the regularity of attacks since them.
    Oh and people with Hispanic or other names could also be Islamist, like French Canadian for instance.
    This is what my poli sci prof used to call errors of omission before issuing a failing grade to anyone foolish enough to try that.

  10. Coercion is the defining characteristic of statism, whether socialist or fascist. Control over other people’s lives is their standard operating procedure motivated by envy, resentment, and hatred. The left is now emboldened to blatantly censor dissenting opinion with mobs of mindless looters and thugs. We are witnessing the methodical extinguishment of free speech to be replaced with brute force. And what’s worse, we continue to support socialized education dedicated to promulgate this pathology.

    Yes, all that and the fact that Muslims currently only represent 1% of the US population.
    I’m not familiar with violent Jewish extremist groups, but the Jewish population is currently somewhere around double that of the Muslim in the US. That’s a side issue.
    My point was that outside of Jewish & “Other”, whatever “other” is, Leftist Organizations and those that they ally & protect “Latino”, Islamic, Communist equals 77% of all domestic terrorism in the US.
    I’m guessing that any “Right Wing” extremism if it exists is locked up in “other” somewhere, but it clearly doesn’t qualify for it’s own category. Obviously it would be less than the lowest category listed – Communist at 5%. Which is generally regarded as “Left Wing” extremism anyway.

    What, you think his call for muslims to come to Calgary and his acceptance of sharia based Islamic schooling reflect staunch Canadian values?

    I’m not. Whenever I’m on the bus or rapid transit, I rarely see anyone reading a book or a scientific/technical journal. Instead, most of the passengers are staring into their smartphones, doing whatever, completely oblivious to everything else around them.
    If it isn’t on Farcebook, it doesn’t exist.
    I guess no one thinks that what is happening in Venezuela can’t happen in the US.
    During the 1930s, Sinclair Lewis had similar thoughts when he wrote It Can’t Happen Here. I remember hearing a recording of it adapted as a radio play in one of my high school classes. I shouldn’t have been surprised as the teacher was a radical lefty.

    As mentioned above, it’s the confluence of two factors during that period. One is the artificial reality defined by Zero’s leftard administration. The other is the leftard’s increasing retreat into a social media bubble where they are constantly linked to a filtered world defined by their i-toys and their facebook friends. If it’s on their facebook news-stream it’s real; if it’s not then it’s ‘fake news’. Few people think for themselves any more; for most urban oriented leftards their reality is based on some group-mind consensus.

  27. My ebook reader had over 100 novels on it. I don’t read news while I’m on the bus during my commute, my mind is usually tooling around the universe.
    It’s much lighter than a novel, contains more grand truths than the newspaper. And is much more convenient. The medium is only the message to the willfully ignorant left.
