What's the first thing a doctor does when a fat or emaciated person arrives at the office?

As it appears, Vonnegut in his vision of 2081 is about right on time as things unfold.

You can observe todays schools, virtually from grade one to university, how the diktat is making the students conform in most inhuman and damaging ways.

It is interesting to note that the snowflake generation don’t see or refuse to see or is completely ignorant of the self-destructing behaviours they are taught to live.

The social engineers at the university came up with the order all by themselves. This is what happens when you create committee of self-important people. Those, of necessity, must come up with nonsense to show activity, whatever the activity, as long as it is activity, to justify their existence.

The nonsense will eventually be justified as they come up with proper circumlocution, after all that is what the school teaches.

There may be something wrong with the young students that refuse to submit to the committee.
As the song says, the common sense is not as common as it used to be.
It would not be a surprise if they eventually do submit.

We're already subject to the ten rules of Sandemose:

Maybe it's a way of getting us used to the effects of sharia before it actually becomes the law of the land.

Fat Eloi are preferred.

They're easier to catch, and the blubber can be used in oil lamps.

What gets me, (no wait, ONE of the things that gets me), is that today's self styled 'rebels' are the biggest conformists; that, and they're too oblivious to realize it.

It's no wonder why "Make America Great again" goes right over their heads.

The stupid part is, there’s zero chance of overly-sensitive porkers ever hitting the scales in a gym. Now, if we were talking about an all-you-can-eat buffet......

Weight control and exercise is very important for diabetics. For many people, weighing in can be an important part of a gym visit. I don't see this as a well-thought-out action, just a kind of left-wing mindset knee jerk, they probably don't even realise the ideology behind what they're doing - isolate and tribalise the overweight in hopes of uniting them politically as a controllable voting block.

Without scales, how will we know what a snowflake weighs?

this decapitation of accomplishment and standout behavior, isn't that the specialty of communism?

the beef I have with any situation opposing this behaviour is where the 'standouts' and 'tall poppies' get to hog the resources and equipment meant to be available to ALL PARTICIPANTS.

anyone here ever attend grade school where the star athletes got their pick of playing fields, exclusive access to the bats and balls and rackets and uniforms etc etc EVERY FRIGGIN TIME THE RECESS BELL RANG? hmmm? how did that feel?
