  4. My favorite Chuck Berry song. And yes, in 1964, seat belts would sometimes lock up and you couldn’t release the buckle. So the owner would drive to the garage and have them taken out. Others would simply cut them off with a gyproc knife. Wearing seat belts was not mandatory while driving.

  5. While Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will never admit it, the 2015 Paris climate treaty Canada signed with great fanfare died last week.
    It died because of the release of U.S. President Donald Trump’s 2018 budget plan… his clear intention to gut U.S. climate change policy by dismantling the Environmental Protection Agency spells the death knell for the Paris treaty.

    Listen to a few of his songs on YouTube. Rock has a great debt to Chuck Berry.
    Not sure he would want to RIP, maybe he’s been looking forward to Rockin’ and a-Rollin’ with Beethoven.

  10. Same all over the Anglosphere. The rock ‘n’ rollers were a great bunch of musical guys and gals, dudes and chicks, blokes and sheilas. Seems the only one left standing is the “Last Man Standing” (google it, if you want a couple of great DVDs): Jerry Lee Lewis is still alive, but must by now be approaching his end. Although, you never can tell. Sigh.

    Khalid Adem, 41, was arrested for using scissors to mutilate the genitals of his 2-year-old daughter.
    He was deported on Monday after serving 10 years in prison.

  16. Bongo the fool (who needs to be loved) got rid of the visa requirement for Mexicans wanting to enter Canada.
    We now have Mexican illegals and criminals sneaking into the country to compliment the Somali border crashers. There is no problem – according our experts goodale and bongo. Guess they think what is happening to the eurotrash is an anomaly.

    He would have never gotten anywhere that kind of sentence in Canada. here he would probably be given a suspended sentence. The fact he was from a different culture would have been a mitigating factor, FFS!
    Too bad somebody didn’t castrate him while he was in prison.

  24. Chuck wrote Promised Land while in the bucket. It’s a song about getting on a Greyhound and getting out on the road. The song mentions a whole bunch of US cities. The prison guards thought he was planning a prison break and studied the song for clues…..
