Profiling Corporate America’s Virtue Signalers

“It wasn’t as if academia called it quits in 1998 when most corporations were balking at the opportunity to set up unnecessary and expensive CSR departments. Academia and academics continued to preach leftist politics, environmentalism, and feminism in all facets and disciplines in colleges and universities. And since nearly ALL Gen X’ers and Millennials were being forced to go to college, and since nearly ALL of them were weak-minded sheeple, academia had the perfect host to install their leftist, virtue signaling theories in them over the next 20 years. And though in 1998 Gen X were mere entry-level plebs in the world of Corporate America, in 20 years time they would rise to the rank of mid, even executive level management….
which is where we are today.”

  1. Really? I teach Beowulf, Chaucer, the Elizabethans, the Neo-Classicals, and the Romantics. Perhaps I didn’t receive the ‘net memo?
    Don’t stereotype.

  2. Exceptions don’t disprove patterns. You’re not holding back the tide of cultural Marxism in the academy all by your lonesome.

  3. One thing I found out is that standing up against the tide of whatever academic or educational doctrine is coming is completely pointless. It’ll destroy whoever opposes it eventually.
Been there, suffered greatly for it.

  4. The Progressive Left has been infiltrating ALL of our institutions for the past three generations. It is a natural and expected outcome of that process to have hard-core Progressive Leftists advanced into positions of great power and influence.

  5. Generation X was already in its late 20s / early 30s by 1998. You’re thinking of the next age cohort down the line.

  6. currently I am waiting for over 2 years for the local edjukashun honchos to answer a really simple Q regarding the school board policy.
so far neither trustee has called and the bureaucrap at the other end of the phone refused to answr 4 times and then got transferred.
how does one get an answer, ie kinda like ‘edjukated’ by the honchos in the business?

  7. Yes, please stop lumping gen-X into the mix. We were teenagers in the 80’s(you know the decade of excess). Money and success is a big part of our existence.
Also, the cold war was at its peak during those years so we have a real hate on for communism, etc.
We are also not really partial to authority, either
