  1. I wouldn’t worry,, Albertans. I’m sure that the wind mills and solar panels you voted for will make up for any employment/economic deficits.

  2. I used to invest in Alberta oil companies. Some people think they will benefit from the majors leaving because they can pick up the major’s assets. But Alberta companies won’t be able to raise the money to develop these projects. They will have to partner later (massive dilution) or, if they can raise money they will have to issue billions of new shares (massive dilution). So I’m out of Alberta oil. This is a long term problem that will take more than a new government to solve. Meanwhile the Alberta government can run deficits to hide some of the problem.
A westward pipeline to tide water is the future of Alberta.

  3. Saskatchewan should benefit in the long run.
They certainly won’t be coming to Ontario.

  4. The oil $ cash cow is why Alberta and the Fed Liberals are running multi year deficits.
We can’t expect politicians who are not business minded to NOT reduce spending. OPO.

  5. Husky sold all their southern Alberta properties to CNRL after being a mainstay for over quarter century.
It is expected Notley will hang on for a full 5 year term in order to ensure her destructive policies will be very difficult to reverse.
Massive deficits and debt will make it impossible for the next government to scrap the carbon tax. (That is the sales tax she promised she would not impose)
A $15/hr min wage will destroy many small businesses, especially in a slow economy. No government will have the courage to address that.
To top it off the progressive party is poised for a coup of the wild rose.
    Not much hope here.
“Nevertheless, we according to His promise, look for a new heavens and a new earth wherein righteous dwelleth.” 2 Peter 3:13

  6. Canada is now a indentured Dominion full of smug weakling ignorant socialists hell bent on destroying a once great nation. And they say that Canadians are smart!

  7. Not going to be good for the Eastern half of the country who partake of the Equalization handout scheme.
Te Trudeau government have a big problem deciding when to make Pot/Cannabis/Weed legal and how to deal with it when they do. It will possibly be much in demand as the economy goes to pot.

  8. Los Deplorables >
“And they say that Canadians are smart!’
Canadians aren’t smart dammit! I take offence to anyone insinuating that we are. 🙂
Canadians are domesticated sheep of the highest order. AAA grade servants to anyone holding our collective leashes.
Born and groomed by the British Empire and then passed over as chattel to the UN and it’s Progressive Globalist masters.

  9. “It is expected Notley will hang on for a full 5 year term”
It would be nice if Notley were to change the law back to a 5 year term, that Trudeau would ask the Lieutenant Governor to withold consent as is allowed.

  10. Trump is going to be blamed by ALL socialists / liberals / progressives EVERYWHERE on earth for every sparrow that gets eaten by a cat for the next 8 years. Get used to it.

  11. His standard response about suppporting the middle class is getting a little tiring. Come on Butts give the dummy some new comeback material.

  12. The Spawn, when confronted with a question that he actually agrees with the anti-Canadian outcome of, squirms in a futile and amateur attempt at evasion. Luckily for him, his electorate: is ambivalent to anything resembling reason; deaf to his nasal “ahs”; and in full submission to his non-existent leadership skills, preferring to marvel at his shiny hair and regal inheritance.
Then there is Red Rachel, who’s anti-Oil Sands commission appointee, Tzepora Berman, lectures the campus circuit nationwide on the cause of eliminating the Oil Sands development. Her previous gig was US funded anti-forest industry campaigns. Can there be anything more bizarre then Alberta taxpayers funding this kind of shit?

  13. Turdeau’s oratorical skills are really something, aren’t they? The clown can’t put three words together in a sentence.

  14. Chinese middle class jobs … those are the “clean”, “green”, jobs that Trudeau is delivering to Canada … Chinese middle class workers making solar panels, mining rare earth metals, and fabricating windmill steel.
    Go Canada !
    Go China !

  15. Om ah da om ah good jobs om ah for om the future. A star in Toronto, an icon, something to aspire to…oh wait we already decimated our province with our very own harpie. Keep voting for stupid and you will keep getting stupid. Really butsy really should do the speaking in front of the camera, its gotta be hard mouthing the words from behind the flags. Canada and Alberta will stand stunned at the starting gate as Trump and the US lap them over and over, cause math and business has always won over feelings and policies of failure the special needs leaders we presently have are presiding over and shoving down Canadians throats.

  16. He just reverted to campaign rhetoric. Hey, Waffle-Boy, bring me a waffle.

  17. The link wouldn’t open? Bongo have it hacked and shut down? Haha
The hypocrisy of the oil industry giving bongo an award and the fool accepting it is stunning. There are a thousand story lines here.

  18. Lots of politicians dodge and weave on difficult questions. In this case, it is very difficult to believe that Junior even heard the question before he started out with his standard vacuous talking point. If he heard it, he didn’t understand it. His “answer” could not possibly have been less connected to the question.

  19. Not so nice either, given how badly Stephen Harper was treated by the media and their leftist supporters. Maybe that should not count, but the complaints and verbal abuse were petty and relentless.

  20. We’re in trouble.
In 2015, Canadians elected the perfect federal government for schmoozing with a Clinton administration.
    Only problem is…

  21. I lived in Leduc, Alberta up until the beginning of this month. I moved out of the country entirely, and every single news story I’ve seen since then tells me that I not only made the right decision but should never return.

  22. “helping the middle class and those working hard to join the middle class”… Juthtins answer for everything… nothing pacifies the dim-wits in the Media more than hearing this meaningless scripted talking point over and over again year after year… clarifying beyond the blather is not required, not by the Media… they are more than content. The Media’s expectations for dumb Juthtin are even lower than the idiots that voted for the clown.

  23. Hey man, renewables are where the money is.
    Government money.
Nobody would be stupid enough to use their own money on the renewable energy con.

  24. When I hear Trudeau’s acting voice it makes me want to crack him over the skull with a Louisville Slugger.

  25. “…Trump is causing Intl companies to abandon the Alberta oilsands…”
Absolutely! And all he has to do is ditch the stupid *&^%$#g environmental regulations that handcuff Canada.

  26. “..and being thoughtful about how we’re preparing for the future”
Newspeak for ‘any detour or pause from the green stupidity is out of the question’.

  27. repeal the 19th amendment…or whatever the Canadian equivalent is…
like Ann Coulter says: small price to pay to be rid of the progs…!

  28. Can Canada borrow the US constitution for a while? It’s not like the US is using it much anymore.

  29. Guru @ 12:46 pm March 11: Exactly right! No matter what the question, this brainless twit provides approximately the same answer, although there are often a different number of “um”s and “uh”s.

  30. Anybody remember how da liddel thief from Sha-koot-a-mee used to talk and answer questions?
He couldn’t speak either official language.

  31. I can hardly wait for this little Twit to show up at the stampede in Calgary in a few months to flip pancakes. Should be quite a show!

  32. “‘helping the middle class and those working hard to join the middle class’…”
I hate it when politicians make appeals to the “plight of the middle class”. Now, I’m no leftie “up-with-the-proletariat!” type but even I know that the bourgeoisie hardly represents a downtrodden, hard-bitten underclass that needs government relief and help.
The middle class “problem” is taxation and high prices biting away at disposable income, not unemployment and destitution.

  33. Doesn’t matter what question you ask him, he’ll trot out ‘the middle class’ and ‘working hard’ ‘creating jobs’ Ask him if the snow was cold and you’ll get the exact same robot answer.

  34. Exactly.
Trudeau is an actor,he knows his FEW lines well, and trots them out at every opportunity. Fawning fans/media don’t seem to recognize that he NEVER actually answers a question, just lapses into political boilerplate and smiles.
Critical thinking in Canada died a lonesome death a long time ago.
