I am from Alberta and I am not sure how it works because 3 1/2 cents turns into 6 cents on my bill and the energy charge is only about half my bill.

The entire Canadian faux-eco-SWAMP of MP’s needs to be drained. ALL the established politicians need to go find a new line of “work”. A new era of citizen-politicians needs to begin. Citizens with REAL families, REAL jobs, and who PAY REAL TAXES, FEES, and RATES. That is the only way to stop the cancerous growth of central governments who are consuming the healthy citizens (those who actually … work and produce and pay TAXES).

I hope she stays on and runs. It’s the only way that the Ontario electorate can begin to redeem itself by voting against her.
And yes, I know it’s entirely possible that they’ll vote for her, despite what she has done to them. And if they do that they deserve her and they can serve the greater good by continuing to suffer the consequences of their folly, making an example of themselves.
I agree. Wynne should hang around to become “face” of the Liberal Party of Ontario. I think that there is a metaphysical fit there.

As much as I would love to see the lpo tossed in tge dust bin of history I also realize that next premier would be faced with an economic nightmare that would automatically frame the sucker as satan incarnate when they had to do what was needed. The danger that after doing what was needed to get Ontario out of its fiscal disaster, the liberals would be returned to power again blameless for the crap that they initially caused.
The latest move by whine to incur more debt to reduce hydro rates for a couple of years is an example of her hedging her bets that Toronto will come through an if not a liberal win next election, at least leave the next government in a minority. No sadly what needs to happen is the Ontario government needs to go into insolvency so that the province gets a clean slate and all the blame assigned to the liberals is carved into history.

Wynne has just displayed typical Liberal arrogance, she’s blaming previous governments for the reason her government and the previous McGuinty/McLiar had to take the actions they did.
She’s playing Mr’s Spic and Span to up her chances in the next election.
Remember too, this is the same person who a few short weeks ago said she had no idea so many Ontario citizens were having to make choices, eat or pay the hydro bills. What boner that was. She’d have to have been living in a cave not to have heard the news or read about it all. She be OK, Ontario voters reward liars, they elect them repeatedly.
You can’t make this stuff up. the Ontario government will eliminate the drive clean fee on April 1st. Vehicles will still have to be tested and the operator of the test facility will still be paid. Apparently liberal voters are happy that the government will be paying for the test. Liberalism is most certainly a mental disorder.
