CTV’s W5 aired an interesting story today (Sun.) about a couple who are “home grown” terrorists, who had converted to Islam, and were willing to co-operate with undercover RCMP officers in the making and detonating of a bomb designed to kill and/or injured bystanders. CTV had obtained some of the hidden surveillance footage that makes the story that much more interesting. A judge however has ruled that the BC couple had been coerced by police into becoming terrorists and the cased is being dismissed, although the Crown has appealed the decision. I believe that those of us who believe in protecting this country against terrorism need to take the case seriously. Enjoy!!

  3. CBC is THE Canadian government funded news media, and is often perceived as the voice of Canadians and the Government of Canada. However, all intelligent Canadians see how CBC selects, edits and manicures stories for public broadcast to portray a Liberal GTA-Ottawa image of Canada and it’s government.
    In the past year that CBC projected image has been increasingly anti-Trump, anti-American, pro-Trudeau/Obama/Clinton and islamophillic. This CBC attitude will have repercussions as Canadians are increasingly perceived as adversaries not friends. This perception will negatively impact Canadians travelling across the border and Canadian businesses trading with Americans.
    CBC knows fully well from the comments they get which they refuse to publish in CBC web-news, that not all of Canada agrees with, or is represented by, that GTA-Ottawa anti-Trump, anti-American, pro-Trudeau and islamophillic attitude.
    CBC news management should closely watch how Rex Murphy reports and comments on the news with logic, objectivity, and a thorough analysis representing all political perspectives.
    Canada and Canadians would be much better served if CBC projected an unbiased National image instead of a GTA-Ottawa left-wing POV.

  4. I watched that show on CTV earlier this evening,and had been following the story for a while. The couple were quite obviously of the mental capacity that once was called “dull normal”, mentally deficient clods who could have been led down the garden path by anybody.
    Left to their own devices this couple wouldn’t have had the ability to set off a firecracker,let alone manufacture a bomb.
    The RCMP has a long and inglorious history of setting people up when they get a sniff of a chance,many making headline news on occasion. Albertans are quite aware of that fact.
    It has always struck me as odd that the RCMP will completely miss out on people like the guy who attacked Parliament and the guy who ran over the soldier, but always seem to be able to find what is the “low hanging fruit” of the criminal world.
    I think they seek out easy marks like the couple in the CTV story, to make themselves look good.
    Maybe,if they pay attention,some of the recent refugees invading Canada will have a few real terrorists among them, though the RCMP would probably miss the guy parading back and forth on Parliament Hill holding a sign that says “Death to Infidels” and passing out pamphlets with the flag of ISIS on the front page.

  10. Trudeau’s government has moved to limit private sponsorship of refugees because church groups were bringing Christians instead of Muslims into Canada. When Trudeau was asked about it he stated that Harper’s policy of favoring Christians over Muslims was disgusting.

    I’m expecting the announcement of Sarah Palin as Canadian Ambassador any day now. That will put JT in his place.

  24. Sarah Palin as ambassador to Canada would be a wonderful way to stick it to Canadians. This would be justified because of the blatant show of contempt for Trump shown by Canadians, plus their stupidity in selecting the shallow poseur as PM.

  27. Appointing Palin ambassador will trigger an embarrassing backlash in this country. The sisterhood hate her – for all the wrong reasons. The cbc gurls will be apoplectic. Too bad because I think she would do a good job. I bet our diplomatic core has sent a subtle message to that effect through to Trump.
    That said Trump may just go ahead an offer up Palin as ambassador. Canada would then have to decide to accept or decline. Bongo would be in one hell of a spot. He declines the appointment…a face slapper for Trump not to mention Palin. A big risk.
    As Adscam was breaking chretien wanted to get former librano cab minister and mafia ‘made man’ alfonso gagliano out of the country. He offered him up as ambassador to the Vatican. The pope refused! Haha. Gags ended up in I think Denmark where they figured out a way to get rid of him.
