Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media

have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.

As the second article says, southern CA is still in a drought but it has received rain, more than they've received in a long time. Things are changing but the drought remains for now.
And ...because some southeastern corner of the CA desert is STILL experiencing "below normal" precipitation ... Jerry Brown continues to impose water restrictions, increased water rates, and INSIST that CA is still in a "drought". Of course it is not. CA's drought ENDED last year. ALL of CA's largest reservoirs that deliver water to the ENTIRE state were WAY above "normal" ... LAST YEAR ! Look it up. CA's MAJOR reservoirs were FILLED last year ... and this year ? Those same reservoirs have been DUMPING water at massive rates to prevent flooding. CA had a totally commonplace 4-year drought. But Jerry and the global warmists have been e-x-t-e-n-d-I-n-g the "drought" as far as they can to "prove" global warming ... and CONTROL the people through crushing cap and trade taxes
PS ... CA's rainy season is always SHORT and INTENSE. The idea that this "turnaround" was "sudden" ... "unprecedented" "shocking" or any other adjective for LIES ... is total anti-science nonsense. Articles written by uneducated college graduates always read like some schoolgirls emotional breakup tweet. Total nonsense. CA commonly experiences short periods of INTENSE precipitation ... I.e. ... it is NORMAL, NATURAL, and has nothing to do with "global warming" either.
Thank you, Kenji. I will try to remember to give you a footnote: "Articles written by uneducated college graduates always read like some schoolgirls emotional breakup tweet." A candidate for the next edition of Bartlett's.
This is because the papers they wrote (if they were asked to write any papers) on their way to becoming college graduates read exactly the same way.
Inotherwords ... the DESERT is just a little dryer than normal. The very same leftist eco-frauds who read the book "Cadillac Desert" which argues that people are "unnaturally" living in a DESERT ... are now conveniently forgetting that a desert is a desert ... because of LACK of rainfall. They cheer and refer to that book constantly ... but now that they want to extend the duration of a drought that was over two years ago ... they conveniently FORGET the main point of their eco-bible
The most basic science education is either missing or being perverted in our public schools. Our children are being brainwashed by eco-lessons, instead of basic geography and biosystems. They are now taught that MAN is a crisis. They know nothing of how the REAL earth works
The Delta smelt is due to spawn in a few months. Don't go getting used to all that water, it'll be flushed soon.
Yep
California is about to get more rain or more drought, whatever the Climate Disruption flavour of the month is because:
Donald Trump signs orders advancing construction of Keystone, Dakota pipelines
p.s. hope this post doesn't catch on fire because part of the captcha is "Samsung"
I'm from San Diego...
This is typical CA weather.
More BS form the libs.
Well remember that too much of a good thing is bad. I am talking about rain, not sex or money.
As some noted climatologist once said, "It's a f**king desert."
"Jerry Brown ... called on water suppliers to prepare for a future made drier by climate change." Now the bastard will be saying the wetness is also climate change. They say this stuff and although THEY can't prove their idiotological claims, it is hard to prove them wrong. But a theory that can't be disproved is not a theory. According to Brown etal, EVERYTHING is caused by my 4-cylinder Dodge Journey: hot, cold,, wet, dry, storms, no storms, blah blah blah.
CA's drought is nothing compared to 50-year and 200-year droughts in the past (ca 1200 AD). Their problem is not the dryness, but that they have built no new water reservoirs in the past 40 years while the population grew from ~17 million to ~35 million. THAT is the problem.
Exactamundo ! To use the pigeon language of our Illegal population that is STRAINING our limited resources.
Even PBS did a documentary about the "Cadillac Desert" of CALIFORNIA ...
http://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/~martins/hydro/case_studies/cadillac_desert.htm
About how AWFUL it was to DAM the Sierra and Colorado River ... just so WHITE people (then) could live in a nice warm climate with swimming pools, fountains, and GREEN golf courses for Obama. How DARE they use technology, engineering, and natural resources to make their lives better ! How DARE they scar mother Gaia ! Yadda yadda yadda ... zippittydodah !
But nowwwwwwww that they have got global warmism to PREACH ... they've conveniently FORGOT that they LIVE IN A DESERT !! Where it DOESN'T RAIN ... for LONG PERIODS OF TIME !!! It's NOT a "drought" ... it's THE DESERT !!!! ... (he screams in his best Sam Kinison type)
Thank you Rb ... sometimes I even sound coherent when RANTING ! ;)
The Sam Kinison reference made me LOL.
But....Sam, quite often during his on-stage (not TV) shows, would say it's THE FUKKIING DESERT!!!
weather folks, it is weather and may change at anytime.
I blame Trump!
