It cannot have escaped the attention of many that Ontario is most unsettled these days. That its industries are anxious, its debt colossal, its citizens not in a pleasant mood. Ontario is in a lot of pain. But let me assure readers outside Ontario that it has not all been for nothing. There are rewards. They are subtle, intangible, but they are real. Let me explain....

Hydro, hydro, hydro..it's so high those who were getting billed every two months are now being billed every month, doesn't change the rates but the bill looks better, customers will not get a reprieve. Meanwhile, the deal for thousands in rebates for anyone buying an electric car is still on.

...and the electric car runs on-drum roll, 'Electricity'.
Remember how one's mind worked back when we attended elementary school?
It's like Ontario and Canada have been taken over by 5th graders.(I wrote 6th graders originally but decided that was too advanced)

It cannot escape the attention of this Ontarian that in our last provincial election 67 percent of the electorate cast their ballots for the Liberals, NDP, or Greens. All these parties had one thing in common: universal support for McGuinty's green energy act. And, there are more than a few members of Paddy Brown's so-called Conservative Party that their hands in support of it in the Legislature.

Ontario: old Huron word meaning "land of ticks and fools".

It's called communism.

It all follows Obama's Neuveau Nicene Creed, which claimed the oceans would begin receding with the transformative election of the first affirmative-action President in the history of the USA. Obama's commingling of Green Religion and State ... in direct violation of the US Constitution ... has been a blueprint for failure. All it has caused is weeping and gnashing of teeth ... and a thousand Solyndra-esque bankruptcies of the collection plate largesse.

I am SO SORRY that this same Satanic worship has spread so virulently to Canada. I am praying to the living God that your people survive the onslaught till the next election. Faith, brothers and sisters ... Faith!

Flip Brown is a disaster..flops around like landed trout
Wynne will win again
Ontario will bleed out and die

I am praying to the living God that your people survive the onslaught till the next election.

That assumes that we'll have a suitable alternative to vote for. So far, most of the candidates for the Conservative leadership are Liberals with a tinge of Tory blue to make them presentable to the party. It doesn't look promising for the country as a whole.

On the other hand, in Alberta, there's a good chance that the NDP will be put upon the ash heap of history. The only real support that party is getting comes from government union workers and die-hard communists. I've yet to hear anyone admit they voted for Red Rachel and her commie horde, let alone express any satisfaction with that lot, and I happen to live in her riding.

Two more years.....

"Flip Brown is a disaster..flops around like landed trout"

Yup. Out here in the country. all the kids are singing:

Paddy Brown
His pants fell down
And everyone could see
A tiny pair
With peach fuzz hair
As green as green can be

Sometimes the kids sing the word pink instead of green.

There is a great equalizer that will up end the green scam at all levels of government.

And it was Thatcher that pointed out many years ago what it was.

I don't need to repeat it but will point out that in the 90's the creditors of sovereign debt merely had to inform the debtors their mortgages where about to be sold to the liquidators unless they got serious about paying down their debt.

How did the people of Ontario manage to vote for her? Nobody saw her picture?

The boy king will bail out Ontario with all the riches coming out of Alberta. Oh,what? Never mind.

I believe the people of Ontario are stupid enough to replace the Wynne criminals with the NDP in the next election.
Their thinking being the NDP are a step to the right of the Liberals.

Actually, it DID escape their attention. Think of the whole Green Energy scam as it's presented: it's something that you do that signals that you care for the environment (who doesn't ... but that's another meme entirely); it's something that's done on your behalf by the government (which is, at best a nebulous, poorly understood concept that encompasses outside your family, work and circle of friends); and since it's a shared responsibility, it's a minor thing (every little bit helps - turn off the lights on Earth Day!) that will NEVER, EVER affect me personally except in the most minor fashion.

That is how the scam is sold: convincing the frog in the pot that just one more degree of warmth won't hurt.

It's suicidal provincial virtue-signalling that has now gone national. As our economy sinks, we can proudly look at one another as Canadians and say in collective unison, we now have social licence! And the rest of the planet shrugs, whispering to one another, are they really that stupid in Canada! Joke's on you, assholes! Meanwhile the green theologians keep us marching forward. Next up, Agenda 21 etc. etc. etc.

I am unsure why Patrick Brown decided to back the green stuff, but as as result I won't be voting for him. I actually do not plan to vote next time as there are no good choices. The only positive on the horizon is Trump who may actually make people aware that the whole global warming scare is a big scam.

Yeah, the PC's are going to campaign on cutting off an opportunity to take in more money. Sure.

Just like we keep hearing every 4 years or so that they're going to privatize the LCBO stores.

"Faith, brothers and sisters ... Faith! "

Uh,which Faith? It seems our beloved PM has been smitten by the Muslims, and schmoozes with billionaire Muslims such as the Aga Khan, so which Faith should we have?

Just trust in Allah?

At what point do the good people of Ontario actually flee en masse from the province? Ontario continues to have quarter-over-quarter population growth, if they actually lost people, many who cite power bills, taxes and the like as a strong reason, then the Liberals might actually be shamed into action.

"Actually, it DID escape their attention. "

No kidding. Someone posted a comment a week or so ago to the effect that Ontario voters should be excused for their stupidity for voting for the Liberals because neither McDinky or Wynnedigo actually came out and said that hydro rates would be going up as a result of green energy.

This dereliction of thought and abandonment of common sense is what has brought this province (and country) to its knees.

Every federal election about two-thirds of voters can be relied upon to cast their votes for the Liberals, NDP, and greenies. In Ontario elections, it's about 67 or 68 percent.

So if I may butcher Churchill, never in the field of human stupidity have so many had so few abilities to deal with the shitstorm they gormlessly voted for.

Strange that I find a bit of solace in that, eh?

I picked a fine time to go senile.

Couple of really good editorials from that paper.

You have to understand that a third of the people in Ontario and in Canada work for the government. Add in their families and the unions and you have at least 2/3rds. Not even counting the young people who think Trudeau's speaking shows energy. Somebody above was asking why we didn't leave Ontario. My husband and I have and our friends have. Ontario is growing with refugee's.

"Ontario will bleed out and die"

I keep praying/sarc

Ontario is to stupid to die. It may well bleed out, however,it will find a way to suck blood from the rest of the country. Oh.Wait.

There will come a day when Detroit residents are fearful to cross to Windsor for all the decay and crime.
