That debate vid is hard to watch. What a disgrace to real orators and debaters.

Fort MacLeod Tesla charging station: Chapter II .... funny

[Thanks to all who commented on the original post and thanks to Kate for posting the topic.]

CBC had a news item on the charging station that included a photo of a California station. I wrote to CBC and suggested that they use a photo of the Ft MacLeod facility and they agreed. Good.

THEN the subtitle jumped out at me.
'The economic development impact is phenomenal,' says town official

It is funny, BUT also a sad statement about the deplorable state of deception by politicians and bureaucrats.

No one can beat Shannon though. She is spewing one lie after another these days.

The Captca was "PAID Union" so I guess Rachel must have hacked the site. Kidding. I hope.

Tonight I'm asking: How long, oh Lord, how long will this go on?

My niece posted a picture of that exemplary couple, Michelle and Barry, which moans how much this beautiful pair will be missed. (I'm sure it's for my benefit.)
Then a few hours later, I've opened an email from a good friend who is telling me how her cat was mauled by a feral cat and then breaks into a brief rant about Trump which is interrupted when she realizes she's gone off topic and we're back to the suffering cat.

What on earth is wrong with these people? They're Canadians!

You might want to listen to this debate after you watch the two colored gals make a mockery of the word ''debate.'' I'm not posting this for the content or topic of the debate, but to highlight the cool, composed British character that I so envy.

Whatchew talkin bout Willis?
The debaters style and ah ah dickshin is reminiscent of the Potato.

That wasn't a debate--it was freestyle performance art. It's almost as bad as Yoko Ono's famous scream video.

Donna Lafframboise has a good post today titled: Wind Turbines: Lots of Problems, No Free Energy

Peter talks about some of the brainiacs connected to the 'debate' video:

16 days left.

Anyone have a recording of the debate without the throat singing track?

This comes from watching CBC, CTV and Global too much. Friends visited us two days ago and the woman had nothing but praise for Hillary and said Trump was a crook. The husband knew better. I asked where she got her info and she said Canadian news channels. She knew nothing about Benghazi, the Clinton Foundation selling influence to foreign countries, all the missing witnesses from the Arizona days, etc. My own daily perusal of the main CTV News website showed daily denigration of Trump, some days many articles, and not a peep ever about all the Clinton corruption or Benghazi.

The whole world understands strategic energy supplies and acts accordingly – except for Canada

"...Canada, which needs a severe wakeup call about the global significance of its petroleum resources."

Ken,
I watch BNN regularly. One would expect a network dedicated to business would have an analytical foundation. To be fair quite often BNN does.

The standard approach towards Trump seems to be that the market will wise up and expose Trump as a fool. I am not a huge fan of Trump but am prepared to see how he does. The fact that he has the highest ratio of business people in his administration (Barry had the lowest) gives me some comfort.

My issue with this is that IMHO Trump's ability to turn the rudder on the USA is not a given and more likely to fail than succeed. SO my disappointment in BNN is their lack of providing context and parameters for the challenges faced by the next POTUS. Debt alone and unfunded obligations are enough to sink any recovery.

It is very similar to the Canadian situation where serious issues facing the country are never debated or even outlined. I guess seriousness doesn't sell!

The Debbie Reynolds/Carleton Carpenter song I linked the other day was first recorded in 1912 by Ada Jones.

Sorry, but BNN has gone WAY downhill in the past two years. Regular guests and hosts have disappeared, mostly the older guys that have faces made for radio.
In their place, are the young skirts with blonde hair, and lots of smiles, especially the ALberta reporter, always smiling while she gives the bad news about Red Rachel.
There has been a very noticeable change in direction on BNN, reflecting a more Ontario view of the world, more environmentalism, more non-business stuff that makes it nearly unwatchable. Remember, it is a division of CTV and the Lisa LaFlamme propaganda team.

That lady is a poorer speaker than Turdeau. And she seems loonier than Justin's mom.

This is really bizarre, the socialist extremist government of Alberta is trying to diktat who and what will the oppositions say.

Will see what the plebeians will have to say about that.

NDP demands removal of Wildrose critic over climate change row

http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/alberta-politics/demands+removal+wildrose+critic+over+climate+change/12639006/story.html

Sort of the same sense as admiration of the airhead in Ottawa to turn on a dime.

BNN was once a daily stop for me. Leading up to and after the election they had a steady parade of the renewable rent-seekers who were positively giddy after assessing their future prospects under PM Selfie. I've given it a pass lately.
Captcha=GREENWAY They got that part right.

The only question remains now is, will the Wildrose roll over and play dead?

"NDP demands removal of Wildrose critic over climate change row"
This was in the Calgary Sun too.

Maybe when they Claim that "Climate Change is Real," they need to be forced to answer 2 questions:

1) Explain specifically what that means? It can mean so many things other than the obvious, it has been changing for 4 billion years.

2) Prove it?

Just finished paying $18,347 for the co-op I work for to the NDP government... as a reseller of fuel we were required to pay the new carbon levy on all of our on hand inventory that was in our tanks January 1st.
All of your local gas stations and fuel providers were the first ones hit with this and now have to pass this cost along to the consumer.
Freight companies will have to adjust their fuel surcharges and the cost for retailers to get goods on their shelf will increase. It will cost more for companies to operate and hurt business owners bottom lines.
The NDP can sit there and claim that Albertans won't feel the effect of this change or that it won't be major for most of us but that is a lie!

This is a few years old. I think Peter Schiff put it out-the interspersing of the actual 'debate' clips w/ the news interview.

Ellen Stofan, chief scientist is the second high ranking departure from NASA. She follows the recent retirement of Geoff Yoder who held the title of deputy associate administrator for science (Not the Administrator, Not the Associate Administrator, but rather the Deputy Associate Administrator. The Onion couldn't do a better job at making up these titles). Bureaucratic BS.

Wonder what it all means?

Oh yeah, and this quote from Ellen: "We are exploring Mars, where it is very likely that life evolved at around the same time life evolved here on Earth".

"very likely"..... Not one iota of fact to support this. None, nothing, nada. Just pure ass speculation. And worse yet, you know it was just another attempt to sound like Carl Sagan.....the wonders of the universe, etc.... and pander to the idiots who are believe we will colonize Mars in less than 10 years from now. If this is representative of the thinking of the "chief scientist" then it's good she's leaving.

Yeah that video was preceded by RedRachels himmler inspired groupthink sales pitch. Nothing like big wind in Nova Scotia to blow over signs, sheds and olde windmills....

Drove by Gull Lake, Sk. last week, west of Swift Current. Noticed the Sunbridge wind farm, wind was blowing about 40 KPH, enough that snow was sifting across the Trans-Canada. Of the 17 Vestas V47, at least 3 were stopped. That's about 20% of the power output!!
