Good looking liberals.
Meanwhile, fellow vacationer, Seamus O’Regan lets us in on the real reasons for the tax.
Carbon pricing that works for better roads & better mental health services in more communities. Big ideas from our #SJSMP Youth Council. pic.twitter.com/yVo9gyKIhk

‘Revenue’ for gov’t.

If you want better mental health, stop being a Liberal!
Well, yes,O’Regan probably does need some mental health counselling.
Ya just knew that Justin was sacrificing his time away from Canader in the service of HIS people,us!
None of this “carbon pricing” will find it’s way into immigration and welfare for unqualified Muslims that vote Liberal, will it?
btw, dintcha just LOVE the way Justin solved all that woman’s problems with a big hug at the TH meet?
Kind of like Christ healing a leper.
My God. That picture. Not a whit of testosterone present.
Somewhat off topic, but it is discussion about the carbon tax…
I was relaying part of this to my kids, 7 and 9. I’m using it as an economics lesson. I work in coal. Metallurgical coal. If the world were to outlaw coal mining altogether, that would mean much more expensive electricity, but it would also mean no more coking coal.
No more coking coal means no coke. Which means no (or much less) pig iron and steel. Feed iron ore (also called rust) into a blast furnace (with coke) and you get pig iron or steel. Feed it into an arc furnace and you get hot rust. No more met coal means no more iron.
I told my kids that people that talk about banning coal never think about this. They don’t realise that no more coal would mean no more tall buildings (steel beams, rebar for concrete), roads (all modern roadbuilding equipment is made of steel), long bridges (I think 30 meter spans are the limit for stone or wood bridges – the roman bridges were basically walls with holes in them with the aqueduct on top), or houses that are held together by nails.
I asked that if they ever have a teacher who says “we need to ban XYZ” that they tell me about it. And, that if they are ever told that they need to ban coal mining, that they ask why they need to ban houses. I’m trying to teach my kids to learn to ask “and then what happens?” when they hear an outlandish claim.
“…. btw, dintcha just LOVE the way Justin solved all that woman’s problems with a big hug at the TH meet?”
Our feminist PM is conducting a policy of political cunnilingus … I don’t know any other way to describe it
Seamus O’Regan, keeping up the reputation of the Irish. Drunks, not the Q in LGBTQUERTY part. I wonder who would be left at the table with O’Regan, McCallum, and Tootoo and who would be under it? These are just the public embarrassment Liberal pisstanks. How many are embarrassments-in-waiting?
Good looking Liberals? Well they’re not going hungry nor breaking a sweat.
So, there’s polar bears in our mental health facilities? Learn something new everyday from Liberals, don’t we?
These climate change taxes are necessary for the “religious” climate change the liberals have given us. Now that the feds have dumped the refugees onto the provinces, the provinces will need this new revenue tool.
Not to nitpick, but coke (petcoke) is also a byproduct of upgrading bitumen…
This is just begging for a YouTube video to explain to “les enfants”. The snowflake generation needs this driven into their little skulls full of mush.
Our local radio station is promoting a “Sleep outside night in January to promote Mental Health awareness” – I seriously doubt that the organizers see the irony.
True Tom, but Trudeau is harder on bitumen than he is on coal, so it’s the same discussion.
F— you, Seamus.
People will become mentally ill when they realise that they can no longer afford to keep warm or even eat.
Did any of those snowflakes ask why Australia scrapped its carbon tax or what powers wind turbines?
Attempting to sell this tax on the poor as a societal good is just another example of Liberals scraping the bottom of the barrel and being tremendously lame at the same time.
“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.” “Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.” — George Carlin
This whole ‘carbon-tax’ scam is nothing more than boosting the GST back to the levels the Lieberals need to fund their ‘tax&spend’ form of governance. This way they’ve put the tax on food which the GST exempts.
“Carbon-Tax” is a scarecrow decoy. The other half of the population with above average intelligence should be able to see that.
Justin Trudeau has a long term goal for Alberta, a very shitty goal, a goal that’s going to cost millions of jobs.
Trudeau said on Friday his plan is to phase out all oilsand mines in Alberta.
“We can’t shut down the oilsands tomorrow. We need to phase them out. We need to manage the transition off of our dependence on fossil fuels but it’s going to take time and in the meantime we have to manage that transition,” he said in Peterborough.
Trudeau also said again that it is the responsibility of the national government to get Canadian resources to market.
Brian Jean who fights for the Alberta oilfield and families affected by the harsh economy was quick to respond.
In a news release, Wildrose Leader Brian Jean said Trudeau’s remarks “confirm Albertans’ worst fears about his Liberal government and its plans for our energy sector.”
“By vowing to ‘phase out’ the oil sands, Mr. Trudeau has declared his true feelings towards our province, and Western Canada as a whole,” said Jean.

I’m going to need something for my mental health as long as this gang is in charge.
Maybe Brian Jean should do a David Cameron. Simply offer the voters the chance to vote for independence without endorsing it. If the voters so choose, declare independence the next day and then start negotiations.
Good grief. I’ve never seen a bigger herd of overweight cows before.
Just wondering… Is that the first time Seamus has ever touched a female? Shouldn’t he be groping one of the boys instead?
Not a lot of diverse pigmentation in that picture.
As we reduce oil and coal production in Canada, energy prices go up. As our energy prices go up, Americans will be fighting tooth and nail to increase their coal and oil (gas etc.) production, and their energy prices will go down or at least remain stable. As Americans reduce their energy prices, China and India will work hard at keeping their energy prices down in order to remain competitive in manufacturing, agriculture etc.
And guess where we’ll be sitting!!
And they all look ”Liberal.”
What would happen after all coal mining was banned in developed countries would be that iron/steel would be provided by China and India who will be allowed to mine all the coal they want and burn all the coal they want at least until 2030, as per international agreement. After that date they have promised to start reducing their CO2 emission, based on those 2030 levels. China is already the biggest Carbon Dioxide emitting country in the world. There is nothing Canada or Australia could do to significantly change the future total Carbon Dioxide emissions even if either country disappeared off the face of the earth tomorrow.
I can’t imagine that bunch storming a beach.
So, there’s polar bears in our mental health facilities? Learn something new everyday from Liberals, don’t we?
Of course. Who do you think gives out those Liberal bear hugs?
Of course the Khmer Vert wants to abolish steel. After all, skyscrapers built out of mud and sticks are so much more green, aren’t they?
The banning of coal, even in the manufacture of steel, shows that the enviroloons need their heads examined.
Did Brian Jean really stand up for us by calling out Justin on his ill will towards Albertans? I’m not yet convinced.
Anyone recall Brian’s actions when the media played the “Bigot” card on him twice, the first time on the day of his election?
Unlike Trump, Brian quickly crumbled, begging forgiveness by immediately throwing conservatives under the bus.
Getting loud and standing with Albertans when we are abused isn’t enough for me. It may be great for fund-raising but if Brian reacts the same way next time the media whip out their “shut up and grovel” card then that money will have been wasted.
I’m hoping Brian and WR notice that Trump’s support climbed when he took on the vile anti-conservative media, and then update their plan accordingly.

So, bad news young people, the money from Carbon taxes isn’t for the benefit of your Tesla cars nor for fixing your obvious mental health issues, but is going to be sent to poorer parts of the world where it no doubt will end up in the hands of the richest rather than in the hands of any poor people to make their lives better.
Only on Spring Break
If there was ever a place and time for a shit cannon……
Meanwhile, in other news, turdo la doo & Co. continue their assault on small business.
https://cotmblog.com/2017/01/13/trudeaus-sneaky-sunny-ways-principle-residence-tax-change/
Someone should have educated these young people somewhere in their climb through K-12 that ever since the first caveman picked up a burning stick and carried it back into the cave where it kept him warm and cooked his food we, the whole of humanity have been living on carbon. Carbon is the reason that we have advanced to the level of the lifestyle we enjoy today. The examples that are smiling here in the picture are only here because of their forefathers use of carbon. If we are to transition to a sustainable energy source, like wind and solar as advocated, then there are going to be far fewer of us around.
And yet the Libs swear they aren’t collecting a cent and that its up to the Prov governments.
Given the areas they mention, all prov responsibility, not sure where this goes federally. Other than to think the plan is to have a federal level sometime later after the provinces have taken all the heat for the tax.
Obviously this redistribution of carbon tax money to areas already supported by other taxes is Liberal policy. Obvious because since this tweet from O’Regan there’s been no retraction. No back tracking or tweet deleting. No Liberals have come forward in the three days since to correct or to “spin” what he really meant. So this HAS to be asked in one of these townhalls to Trudeau, “Why is it Liberal policy to be REDISTRIBUTING Carbon Taxes to roads and mental health.” I’d pay to hear him stammer over that one. More importantly though this would expose the Liberals and All progressive governments for what they are really about. The media sure aint doing it.
“F— you, Seamus”.
Sometimes that’s the only response possible when this cartel of crazies keeps finding new, improbable justifications for their loony policies. So, yes, F— you, Seamus, and the virtue-signaling, identity politics ridden, tax-sucking, useless-spending donkey you rode in on.
The real reason for the carbon tax? Who didn’t know the real reason for the carbon tax is: It’s a tax. That’s all the reason they ever need or want.
I think he is sickening. Citizens do not need to get “hugs” from their Prime Minister. If Canadians think this is appropriate behaviour from the head of our government, then they seriously need to grow up.
…or sheeple.
good for you miner
When this dystopia we live in inevitably collapses, your children will be among the few living in the wasteland with the intellectual skills needed to survive.
Our species will go on, and without the liberals spawn.
…did you even read the article at the link you posted? It doesn’t coincide with your click-bait headline.
Lying Liberals.
You sound like CA … where the gasoline tax that was supposed to go to road building (read: infrastructure) … was “appropriated” by the leftist state for the “general fund”. As a result, the state has increased and imposed new taxes to pay for their governmental THEFT. If this soul crushing behavior isn’t stopped (read: Trump victory) then the whole Western world will collapse.
BTW … would you like to buy a multi-billion dollar cost overrun “high speed” train to nowhere ? Just imagine how fast you could cross the prairie … when it isn’t snowing or blowing …!!
“We can’t shut down the oilsands tomorrow. We need to phase them out. We need to manage the transition off of our dependence on fossil fuels…” — Le Dauphin Petite Pomme de Terre
[that drama teacher is not my PM]
Note how that statement is not inconsistent with approving pipelines to ship our oilsand dilbit to other countries. He only wants Canadians to stop our dependence on fossil fuels.
According to LIB policy once those fossil fuels leave Canadian borders the embodied CO2 or toxic components are no longer Canada’s problem… they’re exported to the ‘peeing end’ of the pool and Le Dauphin Petite Pomme de Terre has declared Canada as the ‘no-peeing end’ of the pool. That fuzzy-logic probably makes sense to Lieberal relativistic reality.
Le Dauphin Petite Pomme de Terre is a drama student/teacher, he’s playing a part he was raised from a child to play. He’s PMButt’s meat puppet; treat him accordingly. There’s no point blaming him for playing the part he is given by his NWO masters.
Jr once again is reverting to form and causing Butts and his handlers fits by blurting out whatever is on his mind at the moment. Rather than stick to his talking points he feels free to wing it when surrounded by adoring crowds. What he said is true enough, tax revenue will be spent on whatever Liberals decide; it has nothing whatever to do with climate, weather or anything else.
His musings on oil sands similarly reflect what handlers believe, ideology formulated in Hollywood and similar of centres of serious energy policy analysis.
When this rolling selfie show reaches Calgary, let’s hope enough people show up to demand some straight, honest answers and no one, but no one looking for a hug or a shared tear.
Juthtins carbon pricing will do for liberals what Obamacare did for the Democrats.
Why didn’t Zoolander tell that distraught woman who can’t pay her hydro bills that she’ll eventually get the mental health treatment she needs thanks to Canada’s new carbon tax?
Check out the Twitter stream from Seamus. YUGE Blowback. DO Liberals Read? Or is that delete/ignore button overused?
Or typical Liberal, just Tone Deaf?
I like how Dumb Juthtin has someone roll up his sleeves and loosen his tie for him, it shows how hard Dumb Juthtin is working, just like that globalist moron affirmative actioned “black guy’ down in the States, Owhatshisname. I”m also enjoying how the Dumb Juthtin Party is spending millions of taxpayer dollars on this useless cynical campaign style PR campaign in an attempt to “re-connect” with the Trudope groupies… an excellent use of taxpayer money, and the Media is cool with it too, surprise. I’m also pretty sure Dumb Juthtin can change the climate just by hugging people, and imposing punishing tax hikes, because “better is always possible”… nothing takes the sting out of unnecessary punitive tax hikes like a hug from an imbecilic frisbee coach. The world needs more Trudopia, or as it use to be called, insanity… hoo-ray!
I still laugh at that stupid woman crying about her hydro bill. LOL HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I hope all of Toronto has to burn their furniture to stay warm.
“If Canadians think this is appropriate behaviour from the head of our government, then they seriously need to grow up.”
Nailed it!
