Butts is the problem, MrSelfie is just an electable figurehead playing a part. What else would we expect from an unemployed substitute drama teacher?

Carbon taxes, which will be on top of green regulations and renewable subsidies, will hit Canadians and the economy hard. Does anyone seriously think it's going to lower income tax or be revenue neutral for most families? They proponents will keep pointing to BC (with outdated data) while ignoring the Australian experience:
"At least four party political leaders lost their job over the issue. Australia has a similar economy as Canada but they have a milder climate. You can go without AC a lot longer than without heat. Think of the energy poverty Butts and the Liberals have created in Ontario, you can likely double that number to get an idea how much energy poverty will be created in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Meanwhile our American neighbors will not only be spared carbon taxes but will get tax and regulation relief from their new government giving them and all of our other trade competitors an advantage. I predict lots of "bad luck" in the Canadian economy.

We're all about to get the government that Toronto elected. I suggest we build a wall and declare them a separate province.

Carbon Taxes do NOT reduce GHG emissions. B.C.’s carbon tax is supposed to reduce emissions. But B.C.’s emissions are rising.

“Since 2010, B.C.’s GHG emissions have increased every year,” said economist Mark Lee. “As of 2013 they are up 4.3 per cent above 2010 levels.” ...Lee doesn’t work for an anti-carbon tax think tank. He works for the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. And he doesn’t mince words. “Let’s cut the cr@p about B.C.’s carbon tax,” said Lee. “To be truly effective, carbon taxes will need to be much higher than B.C.’s current rates.”

Consider that scenario; a carbon tax so high that it not only reduces emissions, it completely eliminates emissions for all of Canada.

That would lower global emissions by 1.6 per cent. That’s right: 98.4 per cent of global emissions would be completely unchanged even if every single Canadian stopped barbecuing, driving or heating the house. And even that progress could be erased as emerging markets build power plants.

Intelligent people won't be fooled into believing that carbon taxes benefit anyone besides the tax collectors.

Another problem is jobs. In 2009, a study from Spain detailed the job losses that occurred because of green energy.

Of course progressives have tried to discredit it but the term job leakage due to carbon pricing comes up time and time again in objective reports.

Between carbon taxes (2018), higher payroll taxes (2018) and most likely a Netflix tax and a new employer sponsored health/dental plan tax plus ramming through electoral reform...Butts will have Trudeau down to a 15% popularity rating in no time. That's before the party of Adscam gets caught with pay to play, infrastructure corruption and Quebec favouritism.

We could have solved this problem years ago if all of Canada could have voted on Quebec separation.

There is no possibility that Ontario Libranos like PM Butts and Katie Telford have any brains at all... Their thieves and liars and full of contempt for their Trudopian followers but that doesn't mean they're smart... stealing $250.000 to move from mOronto to Ottawa was a nice haul that any low level thief would applaud but it didn't take any brains to graft a corrupt system... Climate gangsterism is also an easy racket for the privileged lazy gangster, but again it is more a reflection of someone who is dishonest, perhaps sociopathic, someone overflowing with contempt for others, but again not necessarily an indication of intelligence...if evidence exists that Butts has a brain I'd be very surprised... The maggot corrupts everything and everyone he touches with his bold unapologetic ideological denseness... Butts is just as dense as Lispy Fidel Jr. but with the personality of an undertaker and a sneering malevolent personality he's essentially unelectable... best to hide his nihilistic tendencies his failed policies and his malice behind the sunny idiot.

That may be, but when the Utilities realize their revenue stream is shrinking, they will in fact raise the price - In exactly the same manner that Ontario Electric producers did when they instituted a Conservation policy and everyone went nuts with flourescent lighting...revenue went down - prices went up and in the end the consumer gets bent over again.

Another good example is Ontarios and BC's "emissions testing for vehicles"....I was in Barrie back in 08-10 and had to take my Duramax in...drove in the bay, buddy does nothing other than get my vin from the drivers side windshield...punches it in to his computer...I wait 7 minutes and out spits a report saying: Clear - Clear - Clear - Clear....that will $39.95 please. At no point did they actually check to see if I even had exhaust or emissions of any kind..! A more clear case of getting bent over I have yet to see.

To me it is this whole premise of CO2 Emissions itself that needs to be attacked.

On more than one occasion on this planet have we seen concentrations of over 2000 parts per million...and strangely enough...no mankind to be seen...!

This is IMO, and always has been a wealth distribution scheme orchestrated by the Maurice Strong's of the planet and supported by the thousands of 3rd World minions at the UN.We live in Canada with winters only seen in Siberia and given the bent of our current governments rife with ideological - quasi religious fanaticism as opposed to sober economic thinking...this country will end up a backwater of socialist misery.....we can see it already...
