The Sound Of Settled Science

a few posts later, an answer to one of the main ideas, "the social cost of carbon".

https://wattsupwiththat.com/2016/12/22/the-social-cost-of-carbon-is-positive/

A much advised read.

A question I don't know if there is an answer to - Does the CO2 theory of global warming stand alone or has anyone bothered to do actual controlled research to prove it? I mean other than the fake experiment Bill Nye and others used to do. Are there actually reproducible experiments that show that a 1/10,000 (100 ppm) (big) increase in CO2 will have any effect on heat retention that won't be handled by 1,000 other variables? Or is it simply Chicken Little's Theory on Global Warming?

I actually believe the horse crap until Climategate when the reaction of the warmists told me it had to be a fraud. The lady dost protest too much.

In 3 years, I will have been programming for 50 years, and engineering for 33. So here is my only comment on this subject: computer models are only good if they can provide a reflection of the past as a means of predicting the future. If you have to fudge the data to get the future that you want, then you are missing the whole process of scientific research.

At this point, Environment Canada, for example, has difficulty predicting the weather for 36 hours out using a super computer to crunch the data (473 M dollars worth of computer). They can't provide you or I with high and lows much past 2008 (where did the rest of the numbers go?) So if they don't have a reliable repository of old data, and can't provide an accurate prediction of more than 36 hours, then how can they predict what will happen on a country wide scale for 10 years or 100 years? The simple answer is that they can't. It is a very complex system and they still don't have the algorithm correct for local phenomenon, let alone the globe.

All the other arguments after that point are simple sophistry.

The Globalists have a day of reckoning due... I don't think Obama was campaigning for Hillary because he liked the Clinton's, he was doing the bidding of the EU/UN Communists to save their AGW from the trash can..The issue will heat up
beyond the science....Niki will get the honor of telling the UN to piss-off

Trump will drain the swamp... The corruption is deep in the Democrat party & the "missing money" is huge...The Members of the Democrat's who are not hard core Socialist know they have a problem...

BTW: It was noted that during the Democratic Campaign that local groups in Wis, Mich, PA had to get their own in-state money, but at the same time Donna Brazile (DNC chair) was feeding huge sums to Chicago (pay-offs). WHY?

97% of scientists hired by the Obama administration who are fully-committed to the concept of Global Warming ... believe ... that Global Warming is REAL, is MAN-made, and needs to be stopped by TAXING business and individuals. 97% of these scientists are HIGHLY PAID (by your TAXES) to certify every Global Warming TAX is necessary and URGENT.

Noooooo!! this can't be! Truedick said he knows the real story, and he promised me he was going to be transparent....or was the a Trans-Parent?

Why Our CO2 Emissions Do Not Increase Atmosphere CO2

Carbon Dioxide Geologic Timescale

CO2 levels are at the lowest in 300 million years, just above the 200ppm threshold to sustain vegetation.

Ontario is headed to no man's land category with cap and trade. Freezing in the dark is on it's way to reality. Food banks will be unable to keep bellies filled, it's already a challenge to keep up with the demand in many areas.

But the "doomers" need a good scare story, to allow them to continue to steal from their host.
I know,Starve the Trees"
We must restrict the amount of atmospheric CO2 or the trees will awake from their long slumber, inactivity and wreak their revenge upon mankind..That ought to do it.
Tolkien said it so it must be true...it was on TV.
I wonder, were Steven Kings book so popular because of this kind of self abuse?

Lawrence Solomon in today's Nat Post has an article on the new mini ice age. The ruskies say it has already started and will last 45 to 65 years......

So tell us again why we need a carbon tax? Is the idea to discourage us from heating our homes in the winter? The Liberals and other warmists have lost all common sense. Canada's punitive carbon tax is a totally wasted effort. I think Canadians should be very angry about this.

Doesn't importing Third Worlders and fundamentally transforming them into world-class fossil fuel burners run counter to their carbon reduction scheme? Why can't these raving lunatics get their stories straight?

"Starve the Trees"

Good one! that's hilarious.

It's scarier that it worked. The whole libArts education system was designed to produce a cohort of dumbed-down, easily-manipulated, and politically active voters.

George Carlin was correct:
"Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups"

I always go back to my early school days in the 60's when a guy approached me on the school bus and asked if we had a bomb shelter, in the heat of the cold war days. Of course we didn't, so I asked him if his family had one.

They didn't, but the lad tried to convince me that if there was indeed a nuclear attack by the commies, they had a root cellar where they could seek refuge.

"What would you eat if you had to stay down there??" I asked.

He looked at me and said, "Spuds." I burst out laughing.

I hope before too long, we can laugh out loud at Trudebt and his gang over carbon taxes and the idiots who believed them.

The reason we "need" a carbonTax, is that PM"small-potato" exceeded his campaign promise indebtedness by 20 Billion, to make gifts , disguised as 'climare change' compensation to 3rd world dictators and warlords. The irony is that the social-media connected millennial twits who voted for him will be paying this off for the rest of their lives. HaH!! FU...

One reason Wynne/Butts/Trudeau are indifferent as to people heating their homes, or driving to work is that they are urbanites supported in the most part by city dominated voters.
Many of these people do not own a car but rely on hugely subsidized public transport systems. Many live in apartments or other rental units where fuel bills are not directly paid for. As for food, obviously they think in comes off supermarket shelves and arrives there by osmosis; no one grows the food and it certainly isn't transported by truck. At least this is what they think; how else to blather on about a carbon free environment in a few short decades.
The very people who would starve the earliest in cities are the ones prattling on about localized agriculture; they haven't a clue as to how food in produced on Ont, or Cal and how totally dependent they are on diesel fuel to consume it.
And no one in the media, or anywhere else ever asks Klein or Trudeau to explain exactly how such a society would eat, or keep from freezing.
