Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) vowed Saturday to not allow the U.S. to give money to the United Nations until it reversed its Friday decision forcing an end to Israeli settlements.
Cruz tweeted that he spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, adding, "No US $ for UN until reversed."
Make it permanent.

They shouldn't just refuse funding - though that would do serious damage, given the USA has always been the biggest donor - they should insist the UN move elsewhere. True, the businesses around the current UN headquarters would suffer (mostly, I suspect, those whose clientele were the high-living UN employees, ambassadors, ambassadorial staff, etc.). But think of the gain in decreased security, not to mention the many fewer traffic violations racked up by those with exempt status.
This comfirms Cruz would have been a good choice. Makes me wonder; how good a choice is the guy who climbed over Cruz's body going to turn out to be? If he was willing to throw Cruz under, where would he draw the line?
Call girl operations in Manhattan will be devastated.
the UN should cease to exist. It has become a pointless waste of money and a den of dictators.
Oh sure.
Cruz will talk it to death.
Trump will act.
Politician.
Businessman.
Politician spawn of a preacher ... sometimes there is little difference between the two. Straight into the category - "Actions speak louder than words". I trust Trumps actions, and will patiently wait for him to act.
But, yeah, the International anti-Semitic snowflakes need to be cleared from the Administration building. Cleared from the shores of America. Losing Wars in 1967 has consequences. Losing Wars you started by sneak attack has consequences. The "Palestinian" snowflakes cannot erase history, no matter how hard they try.
I agree, Cruz would have been a fine choice.
Yup, a bible in every pot, and an arch in every gayrage
Well, if the US ever thtopped paymenth, Juthtin would pick up the thlack.
"My conclusion is that civilian settlement in the administered territories contravenes the explicit provisions of the Fourth Geneva Convention."
Theodor Meron, legal counsel to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, 1967
Just getting rid of the IPCC would be golden. Let the rich social justices of nyc redistribute their money where their mouths are and turn the building into a homeless shelter and foot the bill. No more TROA money for you to party on and redistribute to despots.
In realiy this vote was to prevent further building on their own land!

This one is hard. Israel is wrong.
Lets do a comparison: Israel was formed by Jewish refugees being imported into a land who's population didn't want the. Worse, they refused to integrate, but insisted on preserving their own foreign culture and insisting that the native inhabitants accept it, and in a lot of cases adapt to it.
Now replace Israel with Europe, Jews with middle eastern refugees, Judaism with Islam.
See the parallels?
Now imagine some rich asshole (Soros, for example) buying large tracts of land in GermanyFrance/UK and giving it members of this foreign hoard, who build houses on it, and begin importing more muslims to inhabit these developments - native people need not apply. Muslim occupants take up arms to protect their enclaves
Now do you see the problem?
Want to know who makes up the U.N. and some of the Councils. Here are some telling links to their site:
Here is a list of the total membership. I wonder how many are Democracy's? I believe less than half, but I am no expert.: http://www.un.org/en/member-states/index.html
Here is a list of the Security Council members: http://www.un.org/en/sc/members/
Here is a list of the Human Rights Council members, (you know the ones responsible for telling countries like Canada if they are behaving properly): http://www.ohchr.org/EN/HRBodies/HRC/Pages/Membership.aspx
I think Kate has it Right when asking if we are still a member of this thing.
Yes, this one is hard. You have left out some things. Not all Jews left the mideast. They were spread around geographically. The map of the mideast at the time of the "birth" of Israel was not the map that exsists now. Not all Arabs are the same. There were lots of tribes if you will and most of them like the Jews nomads without countries without borders.. Just as the French and English came to north america and brought with them their wars and nationalism. The european world brought their war to the mideast and "nationalism" good or bad was brought to these nomadic people. To survive in this world you must have a country. That is why Israel was born. Now the powers that be have deicided that countries are a liability it is harder to enslave people so they are trying to destroy countries with globalism. The current refugee crisis is an invading army. The myth of the displaced families is a lie. Yes some families are among the invaders but just to add cover . Most of the invaders are military aged men who are doing what conquering armies do rape and pillage.
We need homes that are secure because some of our neighbors will take what we have and maybe kill us. We need countries that are secure for the same reason. The map of the mideast was drawn in blood during war the Jews won a piece of it. Time to let them hold it. We aren't going to give this America back to the native Americans and Israel isn't going to give their land back either.
People who know nothing of history, really are not worth acknowledging in any way. Clearly you are willfully ignorant on the subject of Israel; the most insidious kind of ignorance.
Tell me Philip, exactly how did these Jewish foreign invaders manage to get their Synagogue underneath al aqsa? Since you say the muslims were there first, how did they manage to build a mosque on top of a Synagogue?
Philip. Wanting Jews dead like so many others for so long. Lying and using the memory hole for anything inconvenient. He probably runs a "human rights" tribunal.
UN Security Council resolutions against Israel during administration of:
Ronald Reagan (1981-1989) 21
Barack Obama (2009-2016) 1
actually Kevin, your stupidity validates Philip's stance, and your post is a great example of "Christian" stupidity. Jews have been a problem in many non Jewish lands, because they insist on not integrating, but that does not justify the holocaust. The Jews were wrong, to some extent in 48, after that not so much. Because they are now established in Israel, and because they are democratic, and because they are a first world nation that contributes much to mankind, in many ways, including generosity towards many Arabs, ( those who would kill them), they deserve "their" home land. Had they become a$$holes like many of the Arabs, I wouldn't support their cause.
BTW; many non-Israeli Jews support the "palistinian" cause. When I worked for a small Jewish owned company, one of the owners brother and I had many discussions on the mid east, he almost always took the arab side of issues
You forgot two important points.
The Balfour Declaration and the United Nations decision.
BTW; many non-Israeli Jews support the "palistinian" cause.
Huh? And I'm sure some Jews voted for Hitler. Some people simply make stupid choices.
Tell me neemie, are the Muslims of Europe "integrating" like their American cousins? Are the Jews in the US refusing to assimilate?
BTW, most "Palestinians" live and work in peace alongside their Jewish brethren, except in East Jerusalem and the Golan for the most part.
Let's grab your time machine, go back and fix it all. Then we call tell the Arab settlers in 1947 who left they didn't have to leave, then convince the Arab states to not deport their Jews, along with various pogroms. We could have informed them if Israel couldn't be a Jewish state then SA couldn't be Islamic.
Perhaps for fairness sake we could call the Palestinians (the former Jews eh?) what they really are, mostly Egyptians and Jordanians. Perhaps we could see how much aid and comfort the adjoining Arab states have given to the poor occupied Palestinians. I understand they've locked down their borders and the local PLO has never allowed Israel to provide services to the refugee camp cities. I understand many Arabs regard Palestinians as vermin.
I have to agree with others, this is too hard for you and Philip. Is Israel angelic in this whole affair? Not at all, there are serious issues, particularly access to water, as I have learned from others on this site in particular, but the Palestinians have been Islamist pawns from the very start and continue to be so.
In any event, how far back will we have to go back before the malevolent Arab blood libel against Judaism disappears?
BTW, IMHO Israelis have way more class than the other guys (well worth checking this out folks):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oIQXIZbxg0
"Now do you see the problem?"
No not really.
Israel = good guys
Paleosimians = bad guys
Hope this clears things out for you.
" Israel was formed by Jewish refugees being imported into a land who's population didn't want the. Worse, they refused to integrate, but insisted on preserving their own foreign culture and insisting that the native inhabitants accept it, and in a lot of cases adapt to it."
Sounds just like what happened in North America. Time to pack your bags and head back to the fertile crescent, Philip.
Simpler yet:
Whatever story there is surrounding Israel it is too good to be judged by the creeps who constantly fault it.
BTW did you hear the Israelis made a major breakthrough in finding a cure for AIDS.
"BTW did you hear the Israelis made a major breakthrough in finding a cure for AIDS..."
Jeez, I thought it was the Mennonites. Oh.....sorry. You said cure....I was thinking prevention.
Phillip,
Perhaps all the Arab countries should get together and physically force the Jews in Judea, Samaria, Golan and green-line Israel to leave.
I'm sure a brave individual such as yourself would take up arms to aid them. Leaving soon? Gaza is quite pleasant this time of year.
Let us know how it all works out for you.
Heh, a long way down from manna and quail raining from heaven...now dependent on welfare from US and some one world body's resolutions...
Donald Trump is not a fan of the United Nations – he simply has no patience for lollygagging and indecisive politically correct banter.
“The United Nations is not a friend of democracy. It’s not a friend to freedom,” Donald Trump said at the AIPAC conference in Washington. “It’s not a friend even to the United States of America, where as all know, it has its home. And it surely isn’t a friend to Israel.”
Donald Trump repeatedly received resounding rounds of applause during his AIPAC speech – a feat many Repubican establishment types said would not happen. The front runner said any United Nations deal to force an agreement between Israel and the Palestinians should be blocked because it further de-legitimatizes Israel, the Hill reports.
“The Palestinians want a state, but they have to give peace in return. What they’re trying to do in the United Nations is to get a state without giving Israel peace,” Trump concluded.
The United Nations is all talk and not action 98 percent of the time.
When the U.N. does act, it wants to fund its projects primarily by American taxpayer dollars AND tends to create programs which amount to spitting on the Constitution – like Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030.

Neither the United States of America nor Israel are democracies, The USA is a republic (making Donald Trump the President=elect , thank God.,). I think of Israel as a very complicated theocray.
There will never be peace, just intermittent exhumation until everyone reloads.
The UN is an organization whose sole purpose is to legitimize the voices of tin pot dictators and enemies of freedom and western civilization. Palestinians, at least those that speak for them, want dead Jews more than their own state. Being the bottom of the barrel of the Islamic wastelands doesn't bode well for nation building. The Jewish state was originated by imperialist powers but has since paid for its territory in blood twice in war and continuously in counter-terrorism, much like most of the world's nations.
