Now, they feel free to invade Crimea, get involved in Ukrainian internal matters, scare Europe about the Baltic states, wreak havoc in Syria.... Trump admired Putin to the extent that he respects someone who can smell out weakness in an opponent.

The Green Part drive for recounts is pretty simple politics. The DNC had no option but to join in. Greens are trying to solidify themselves as party to led the 'Not Our Pres' movement. Hillary Clinton conceded the election to Trump. She can't now say she wants it back. So, they hooked up with Stein. Stein is spearheading the "recount". Clinton is an "observer" who is also funding it.

Stein has nothing to gain in this exercise...unless the election is overturned.

Just when I think I have an understanding of US elections, this comes up.Clearly most Canadians are not qualified to comment on the subject.
I can see a tool like Stein raising $7m to enact a recount; I cannot see why Wisconsin and other states would jump through hoops to accommodate her. Does she have a legal ruling to order the recount? Clinton and the Democrats have stated they don't expect any significant change, no one does, so why bother? This woman received less than 1% of votes cast, can the states not simply tell her to get a life.
As to theories that liberals want to send the decision to the House, where Trump still would win; What is the point? This I cannot believe frankly.

Gore attempted the same thing in 2000, concede and then go for a judicial ruling, but that was 1 state where the results were close.But these 3 states are not close enough to matter. Maybe one of our American friends can explain things, Please.

I read this morning that the Michigan recount is done,and Trump won handily,so I guess there are only two States left . Clinton can't win, the idea is to be as disruptive as possible.

She missed PA deadline , I guess court action is still a possibility.
