Back in 1984, the Hon. Pat Carney - then Minister of Energy, Mines, and Resources - visited Calgary. There was to be a lunch hour meeting at the Petroleum but the Hon Minister - being a woman - couldn't pass through the front door and had to enter through a side entrance (there were other issues with the Petroleum Club and women as well). Needless to say, there was a major furor over this. The Petroleum Club changed its policies.

So where is the furor over three cabinet ministers having to enter the mosque by the side door and sit with "the sisters" in the balcony? At least Ms Carney got to sit with the men and gave a speech.
