  1. It’s time we talked about male-only universities
The reasons for decreased male participation in post-secondary education are undoubtedly complex, but an anti-male atmosphere may play a role.
It’s not pleasant to sit through classes, especially in the humanities and social sciences, where the male sex is singled out for its role in violence and inequality.

Janice still has her head on her shoulders and not up.

  2. Senior Deputy Governor Carolyn Wilkins says to prepare yourself for an era of lean times going forward. When someone of that calibre admits tough times are coming, its probably an understatement.
    http://moneytalks.net/article-and-commentary/michael-campbell/mikes-daily-commentary/18204-bank-of-canada-says-lean-times-ahead-.html
Michael says higher taxes and more regulations at every level are much to blame for this.
My words, just think what will happen when carbon taxes kick in at the federal and provincial levels. Lets face it folks, the left is out to destroy western civilization.
    Do we miss Harper yet?

  3. Hillary has a robot double…Bill’s been controlling it from a distance but sometimes there’s glitches because of radio static…Like the 9/11 Memorial episode. And this one:

Hillary has been dead for a while.
Bill’s got her tucked away in the basement, her pantsuit dressed body stuffed and sitting in a rocking chair, her dead eyes staring at a looped video of Bubba’s Monica testimony…”I did not have intercourse with…”

  4. Regarding the “lean times ahead”
    Haven’t we heard this before?
But they always kick the can.
I’ll believe a rate hike swhen I see it.

  5. This much I’ve figured out: if the government says “good times ahead”, I prepare for the worst. If the government says “lean times ahead”, I prepare for the worst.

  6. Another fabricated bit of journalism turned Liberal propaganda courtesy of the Canadian taxpayer.
CBC’s Peter Mansbridge interviews Hunter Tootoo, former Liberal minister of Ocean and Fisheries, following his treatment for alcoholism.
Having personally followed a treatment program in 1984, and enjoyed sobriety ever since, I don’t question Mr. Tootoo’s problems with substance abuse or the methods he used for recovery.
I do however question his appearance on CBC’s National, and his motives for discussing personal matters on a Canada wide TV program.

  7. Good point. Where was the sympathy and tolerance for Brazeau? Actually, if the CBC wanted to appear balanced, they still could interview Brazeau. I doubt “balanced” is a concept the CBC aspires to.

  8. How about Rob Ford?? In hindsight, he probably had as good a reason as Tootoo to want to drink!! How did the MSN treat him?? They went as far as trespassing on his private property to try and corner him!

  9. Chapter 1, 2, 3, . . . .
    Another Chapter 11

Noble Environmental Power LLC, a wind-energy company backed by billionaire Michael Dell, filed for bankruptcy protection on Thursday in a debt-for-equity restructuring deal.

  10. Globe and Mail, Thursday, Sep. 15. International Monetary Fund head Christine Lagarde wants more women in the Canadian work force:
    http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/rob-commentary/executive-insight/christine-lagarde-calls-out-canada-for-lack-of-women-in-the-work-force/article31886113/
(full article is behind a paywall)
“Lagarde … published a blog post on the IMF’s web site that takes issue with Canada’s under-representation of women in its labour force.”
Maybe more women choose to stay home, when they can do so? In defiance of feminist ideology? Maybe some of them would rather raise their kids at home because they’re more “nurturing” (also according to feminist ideology)? Or should we resort to press gangs to drag them kicking and screaming into the workplace?
Women are also “under-represented” in prisons in most countries. Is that a social problem that requires more women sent to jail?
The kind of idiotic thinking demonstrated by international bigwigs here comes from placing ideology in front of reality.

  11. Reno air races are on this week.
P51 Mustangs and Sea Furies doing 500 MPH around a closed course.
They lap the 8 mile somewhat oval course in less than one minute.
Getting 3800 HP out of a V12 Rolls Royce Merlin that originally produced 1450 HP takes a bit of work.
Essentially you turn up the boost, a LOT, then fix whatever breaks, then turn up the boost control some more.
75 PSI out of a mechanically driven two speed centrifugal supercharger seems about right….throw away the aftercooler and just spray water and methanol into the intake to cool the charge air mix.
And be sure to add some straps to the propeller reduction housing on the front of the engine so the increased pull from the huge oversized propeller doesn’t rip the whole gear housing off the front of the engine.
Bad news this year, Rare Bear, a Grumman Bearcat with a 4,000 plus HP Wright 3350 CID radial isn’t competing, and Strega, (Italian for witch), a highly modified P51 Mustang and a perennial top contender and winner isn’t here either.
Voodoo and Strega were neck and neck in 2014 during the Saturday heat races, after 64 miles of racing you could not tell who crossed the finish line first even with a photo finish.
Strega cracked a head on number 2 cylinder on the LH bank and missed the final after that effort..
The Hawker Sea Fury named Dreadnought, powered by a 28 cylinder 4000HP+ Wright Wasp Major ‘Corncob’ radial engine should have a chance at second or third behind the Pratt and Whitney R2800 radial powered Yak 11 and the P51 Mustang Voodoo piloted by ex-shuttle commander Hoot Gibson.
It’s quite a sight, and a good party.
Catch it before it modern society kills this off too, any year now could be the last one.
Check out Dreadnought, Battleship Of The Pylons, take the biggest radial engine you can find and stuff it into the fastest airframe made:
    http://www.warbirdaeropress.com/articles.html
    Who do you cheer for?
The awesome sounding radials, or the legendary Rolls Royce Merlin V12’s?
The American P51’s with the British Rolls Royce Merlin engines, or the British planes, the Hawker Sea Furies repowered with American built radial engines?
Or you can cheer for the stock Hawker Sea Fury with the original Bristol slide valve Centaurus engine.
    Everyones a winner.

  12. Oops.
That 28 cylinder engine in Dreadnought is a P&W, not a Wright.
The purists will hang me for that typo…beer has it’s drawbacks…

  13. “…Or should we resort to press gangs to drag them kicking and screaming into the workplace? …”
We should certainly resort to press gangs to drag them kicking and screaming into the Combat Arms. Imagine all women, no men in the fighting branches of the Canadian Forces for about ten generations. That would be affirmative action for feminism. How did a Liberal once put it – “Not necessarily conscription, but conscription if necessary.”?

  15. Our friend had a perfect hat to wear in the presence of that woman. Printed on it was:
    ‘Have a nice day asshole’

  16. “Maybe more women choose to stay home, when they can do so? ” Ah,but the globalists do not favour this. Their goal is to get women into the workplace and take control of the children via state-run daycares. This is all part of Agenda 2030. As the first post-national state, Canada is leading the way on this. All those unqualified women in Cabinet are there as a way to push the UN’s feminist agenda (“He for She”). While women’s rights need to be furthered in many underdeveloped and Middle Eastern countries, focusing on Canada for this is misguided and I believe undermines other rights — such as the right to stay home and look after your own kids.

  17. These people are funded by Soros and it is a deliberate attempt to provoke racial divisions and foster violence. I think it is fair to call these people a “hate group”. Their tactics are excessive.

  20. Oh good, let’s get another one world fan out of office. Stats Canada was pushing a very one world government view, happily preparing reports that supported just about any lefty cause that identified people and sub-groups that you and I should pay more to support.
He absolutely is right about IT shared services, though – a unworkable boondoggle plan, but the snoopy long-form now-mandatory again census and the uses made of it in the past did not reflect any semblance of “independence”, so the Agency most definitely does need non-partisan oversight as well as their own IT.

  22. I would cheer for the Rolls Royce V-12s. In 1958, I traveled to Winnipeg with my parents to attend my aunt and uncle’s wedding. About 1:00 AM, they were leaving for Barbados for their honeymoon. At that time, it was customary to go the airport and send the the newlyweds off, standing on a deck above the tarmac, and waving to the airplane.
If I live to be 100, I’ll never forget the roar of the 4 RR Merlin engines that powered the Trans Canada Airlines DC-4 ”Northstar” as it flew away on that cool October evening. Nor will I ever forget the blue flames coming out of the exhaust ports. Incidentally, my uncle was an electronics technician at TCA on the DC-4 and subsequent aircraft.
    Thanks for your post.
