Just finished watching the PBS 4 hour doc on Ronald Reagan. I have always considered him the greatest American POTUS since Teddy Roosevelt. His faith in American virtues of desire for individual freedom in government and religion are a clarion call in today's world.

While I consider neither Trump or Clinton great standard bearers I would pick Trump. I asked that question of two Americans in Idaho the other day. They were both voting for Trump because they could not stomach the cynical untruthfulness of the Clintons. I also always take what the media says about conservative candidates for what it is BS. Trump has gifted the MSM with a attitude which dismisses conventional political correctness and throws the questions and conclusions which most people have out into the public for discussion. In a way it is refreshing and maybe even healthy.

Been saying he'll win for months and it won't be close.

Like Rob Ford, Trump has "issues," but he has a proven record of achievement. It's hard to see how he could possibly be worse than Hillary. Remember, almost all of the media hates his guts and are totally devoted to electing Hillary. They will say and do anything to help her get elected, including lying about Trump's level of support among the electorate.

I highly recommend that you, and drudge, and whomever else is picking the one outlying poll that is the most attractive out of the last 20 polls and then making a statement about it, to stop doing that.

There is no point in making any comment unless you have at least 3 polls showing something similar. And even then, you have to weigh those 3 polls against the 20 others that may or may not be moving in the same direction.

After you've done that, maybe it's worth saying something. Otherwise, you look (a) desperate and (b) silly and (c) stupid. Drudge is my favourite news aggregator, but he has been embarassing himself with this stupid tactic - "SHOCK POLL!!! We dug up a pool somewhere that was different that all the rest! GO CRAZY!"

That being said, I think that Trump still has a shot at this, we'll see where things go.

The LA Times poll from early in the week had Trump only 1 point behind Clinton. Maybe there is a trend. Maybe the voters are coming to the realization that maybe the media is the problem. All positive stories for Clinton and all negative stories for Trump can't really reflect reality because Trump is polite and personable and Clinton is a lying thieving shrew. People have to eventually catch on.

The narrative is being manipulated so what makes you think the polls are accurate ? They will do anything possible to make Hillary look good.

The only conclusion that can be drawn from here is "Other is as other does."

In the "Education" category it appears that Clinton support is amongst the uneducated-stupid as well as the over-educated-stupid.

I am a big trump fan as you all know since he came into the race I have supported him and I still very much so do now but I will say this clearly.

If Hillary dies he will win , other than that Hillary is the next president . I am 100% confident in that. There is no way Wall Street , the media, the republicans, the democrats , soros, Rockefeller , Buffett ....will let it happen think of how big the us gov is think if he built the wall all of the jobs lost by the companies and lawyers involved , if he sorted out the loop holes think of all of the money lost by crony Wall Street capitalists...Ect Ect ...think of all the lives saved if he banned temporarily Muslim immigration.

As I pointed out to you yesterday, lance, his return in the polls started well before his "reset". I suspect at least some of that was Clinton's convention bump naturally fading. During this time, the media onslaught has been relentless, outrageous and at times vulgar with hatred and contempt for Trump and his supporters. Yet, he has apparently made this comeback despite all that. A testament to the slow and just death of the msm and the corresponding rise of information available social/electronic media.

I believe that if Trump can avoid acting the fool til the election(I know, tall order), he can convince enough Americans he is the candidate with the best options. And I don't think grandiose, bullshit promises like "I will never lie to you" help in the least. Ha, he could also set my mind at ease by explaining where we find ALL these new factory workers and replacements for deported illegals/undesirables after he hires the needed bodies to fill the massive bureaucracies and support agencies to vet and process millions of Muslim-Americans and Mexican-Americans. Hopefully he is waiting until after he is elected to announce a "work for welfare" program. Some of his policies would be near undo-able, even ugly to witness, something the Dems seem clueless to capitalizing on. All that said, he is the only politician, including the entire GOP, who even talks about changing America's globalist direction. Something, thankfully, many Americans understand is desperately needed for it's very survival.

I am on record on this site for many, many years now as contemptible of how our party systems have morphed into royal family
systems. Although I personally find Donald a distasteful individual, I also consider him a hero for the hard kicks to the nuts he has repeatedly delivered to the media and the entire "political class", both liberal and conservative. But then, I'm the kinda guy who is disgusted that a country of near 1/3 billion people could possibly be convinced that their absolute best and brightest just happen to be immediate family members of previous leaders.

Well Lance it might be hard for you to believe, but Ken is a very smart Saskabushian, he finds gems in the stratosphere of the internet, that are often overlooked by the enlightened, and "in touch", like yourself, and the Global CTV educated people in media. Trump could perform a knockout in the debates. There's much talk among Trump supporters that HRC is not very well, and subjected to the rigors of these debates, she could easily fall apart and look very incompetent. As long as Trump doesn't overkill and look like an abusive husband, oh wait a minute, HRC already has one of those.

I think as the election looms, much of the support for third party Johnson will shift back to Trump and that should put him over the top.
