Wow. Good thing it's only fiat money and not backed up by gold anymore. Could have been a real problem.

There is this thing they call lip reading.

Here is an illustration of lip reading that is rather funny.

It would be interesting to see if the LIV's would know what happened.

The perverse President:

"In a 16-page guidance issued Tuesday, the Obama administration, led by the Justice Department, warned Louisiana recipients of federal disaster assistance against engaging in 'unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin (including limited English proficiency)'," Richardson wrote.

“Like these people are sitting by their computers and reading this crap!” Levin exclaimed. “Or opening their mailbox — they’re not getting mail! They’re drowning!”

This “phony” president must not be observing what’s going on in Louisiana, Levin said, “where whites are saving blacks and blacks are saving whites. Because that’s what Americans do!”

Meanwhile,Trump brought in an 18 wheeler full of supplies to help with the relief effort. I think Americans are beginning to figure out who is on their side.

This is an old story but helps to explain the lack of accountability:

For those here who avoid the msm like the plague, they would probably be interested to know that low oil prices are so far the ONLY reason being given for Venezuela's near collapse. Of course, even finding any mainstream media stories on this inconvenient narrative-buster is difficult at best.

The analysis, which examined donor lists posted on the [Clinton] foundation’s website, found that 53 percent of the donors who have given $1 million or more to the charity are corporations or foreign citizens, groups or governments. The list includes the governments of Saudi Arabia and Australia, the British bank Barclay’s, and major U.S. companies such as Coca-Cola and ExxonMobil.

Hollywood doesn't pay attention to the saying "if it works, don't fix it" and it doesn't know when to quit:

After all, there was the original silent version, there was the classic re-make from nearly 60 years ago (Heston rules!), and there was a TV adaptation recently. So why do it again?

It got a rating of 4.9/10 on IMDB. I've usually found that the negative reviews of a movie are pretty accurate. Each time I watch a flick that was rated a stinker, my impressions are often similar to what reviewers on IMDB had written.

And in really important news that will have the Nation gasping in admiration and lust; Ben Mulroney will interview JUSTIN TRUDEAU on his TV show on Monday.

It will be interesting to see the appearance of two of the sons of Canada's two most progressive PM's on the same stage together. We can only hope Canadian women will survive it.

I actually like Ben Mulroney who does not pretend to be someone he is not. I won't watch this, though, as I do not have the stomach for another PR stunt by the always superficial Trudeau.

slow day in blogging in here, Rance must have lost the keys, AGAIN!!!!!

Will Justin the Witless be wearing a shirt?

On the other hand, that interview is yet another reason for me to avoid commercial TV.

Well, you can scratch any plans you might have had for Canada's 150'th being about celebration and remembrance of things that made us a great country. Libs have decided to turn this into yet another propaganda exercise. They have announced their themes:
Diversity and inclusiveness
The environment
Young people
Reconciliation with indigenous people.
Funny, I thought an anniversary might be about our history and heritage and a celebration of heros who have helped build the country. Pride in our past and in the accomplishments that have moved us forward. Silly me.
Now that we are the "first post-national" country, I guess celebrating the country's past is not relevant. I'll bet plans for this milestone event are already being undertaken by the UN sustainable development group. Seems to fit their mandate. I post this with a certain amount of sarcasm, but I am really heartbroken about what is happening to our country courtesy of the Liberal government.

I am having trouble understanding the Zika virus.

In the 1930s up to 7 million Americans were affected by malaria with almost 4,000 deaths per year. With the discovery of DDT and subsequent spray programs, malaria was eliminated in America and African cases had fallen by 80% within 18 months. By 1967 malaria was eradicated in the developed countries. DDT was soon after banned as a carcinogenic product just as serious progress in Africa was underway.

The Zika virus was isolated in Africa in 1952. The first outbreak outside of Africa was in 2007 with a much more worrying outbreak occurring in Brazil in 2015.

Malaria, Zika, Dengue and Yellow Fever are all transmitted by mosquito bites. In 2015 the WHO recorded 214 million malarial infections worldwide with 438,000 deaths. There was a recent outbreak of Yellow Fever in Africa.

In the summer of 2016 there has been an outbreak of Zika virus in Miami, not that far from South Beach. Almost immediately an airborne spraying program was underway using a product called "Naled". According to the experts this product is safe and has been in use for almost 50 years. It is banned in Europe.

So my trouble with the Zika virus is this. How come a small outbreak in 50 people in Miami can lead to an immediate aerial spray program of a substance that is banned in Europe but that substance can't be used in Africa where the problem is literally a million times worse?

"Thousands of Labour supporters could be expelled from party over anti-Semitism and abuse claims as MPs move for early election to 'get rid of Corbyn'" (telegraph)

"What is it about the Left which makes anti-Semitism so common?"

"It can be hard for people on the Left to admit that our movement has a problem with bigotry. Generally speaking, we’re used to being on the other side of these kind of conflicts. Historically, organised anti-fascism has always had close links with labour activism. Left-wing parties have consistently led the way in the push for all forms of equalities legislation.

More broadly, we’re used to thinking of ourselves as the good guys."

Maybe we'll be spared having to hear that dreadful song or its 2017 successor.

Interesting summary of Federal grants so far from this government by David Aiken http://blogs.canoe.com/davidakin/politics/atlantic-canada-gets-twice-as-much-federal-funding-love-as-alberta-from-trudeau/

"The combined dollar value of the 661 announcements made in Atlantic Canada by the Trudeau government is $954.3 million (7.9% of the $12 billion the Trudeau government has provided in 2,100 announcements) . The combined dollar value of those 84 announcements in Alberta is $489.1 million. (4.05%) Atlantic: 7.9% | Alberta: 4.05%"

It is more interesting from a population perspective. (2015 est)
Alberta 4,196,457 or 11.7% of the population (34 seats) receives 4.05% of the funding ($116.55 per person)
Atlantic Provinces 2,371,076 or 6.6% of the population (32 seats) receives 7.9% of the funding ($401.48 per person)
Seeing as there are 4 Alberta Liberal MP's, of which two are ministers and one is a Parliamentary Secretary, maybe we are seeing a new definition of ineffectiveness. At the very least two of them should start wearing dresses.

On the other hand, should we be surprised. Wee Justin's hero, mentor, and new best buddy, namely Barry O'Bummer, is doing the same to his country.

So why is it that national leaders are dumping all over the countries they're in charge of? I mean, there's Merkel, BHO, and, now, Justin the Awesome. Did I miss something?

"Left-wing parties have consistently led the way in the push for all forms of equalities legislation."

A common lefty belief but the gist of equality legislation is enforcing a new inequality. Much civil rights legislation in the U.S. tries to raise blacks up by bringing whitey down. Lefties have spent a few generations not admitting that the worst racists are themselves.

The worst racists government ever was the USSR followed not too closely by NAZI Germany. Both were admitted and obvious socialists. The lefties don't seem to remember the USSR and don't admit that the National Socialists were even socialist. They forget that the lefty Democratic Party was the party of the Klan. Lefties are in a lot of denial.

Maz - "What is it about the Left which makes anti-Semitism so common?"

It's because the left have such belief in the power of their own ideas. Some of them are smart, they all agree on the best way to do things, but whenever they try to do something that way it always fails. It can't be because they fundamentally don't understand the motivations of other humans, it must be because someone is actively working against them and thwarting their plans.

And because their ideas are so comprehensive, then that must mean it's superhuman malevolence practised by a group that knows it's doing evil. So look for a group that does well wherever they go and who largely stick to themselves. They must be the witches. Burn the witches and all will be well.

I'll have to remember to try that next time I'm talking to a clueless multi-cultural supporter, "so you're saying that the Jewish culture that runs Israel is as valid and is as worthy of support as the Palestinians"? I'll need to make sure I'm wearing sunglasses so none of their sputtering gets into my eyes.

The "Isms" run deep in the world view of the virtue posturing nitwits.
I love your analysis of why they believe their ideas always fail.
Venezuela being this weeks model.

On Slavery and Obama.
The Kenyan tribe to which he claims paternal descent..Where these not the same tribe that sold their neighbours to the Arab slave traders?
Seems to me the Obamanation behaves exactly like one would expect from a tribal slave trader.
I guess the American Negros have not recognized the tribal implications.
Of course he loves them as he enslaves them ever further...same way his ancestors loved having their ancestors as neighbours.
