Is there a single thing Clinton accomplished in all her years as First Lady, then New York Senator and then Secretary of State?

http://www.nj.com/opinion/index.ssf/2016/08/clinton_supporters_can_you_name_a_single_thing_she.html

I can think of one thing. She has avoided jail so far.

Turkey's post-coup parliament has ratified a deal with Israel to normalize ties. Israel will pay compensation for a 2010 raid on a Turkish aid flotilla bound for Gaza that resulted in 10 Turkish nationals being killed.

"Money from the Party of Regions' shadow assets was paid to Larry King. He received $225,000 from the party's shadow coffer," Leshchenko said at a press conference on Friday.

http://uatoday.tv/politics/larry-king-received-usd-225-000-from-ukraine-s-ex-ruling-party-mp-730262.html

Also: "Secret ledgers of Ukraine's disgraced former ruling Party of Regions show substantial amounts of cash listed for Paul Manafort, Donald Trump's current campaign manager."

I know that the man is dying, but I just have to say that I lost all respect for Gord Downie tonight calling for 12 more years of Justin Trudeau... saying he's the 'right man for the job.' Oh gag, vomit, heave. He should have just played his music and not wrecked his image for what has to be a sizeable piece of his fans.

Indeed, for that nonsense and for his native comments. This was supposed to be an apolitical
event and that soured the whole thing. He can't singable his comments made things very noticeable that his voice is annoying

Now that that's finally over, can we all go back to ignoring the Tragically Hip?

Tip of the day.

If you want to make headway politically stop using the term low information voters.
Sounds like a put down to those that don't want to see or hear anything from any political stripe.
Instead call them "keep it simple voters".

Their not ignorant or stupid, just tired of being talked down to, lectured, hectored, and being treated like children, by those whose only accomplishment is being given a bureaucracy to run or successfully headed up a socilist protest.

That is an unfortunate note to end on. Since the Conservatives actually got a greater percentage of the popular vote than Liberals and I doubt too many NDPers are keen on Trudeau, he must realize he is offending a large segment of his fan base. Did he mention whether or not we should keep the same puppetmaster over the 12 years?

In the meantime, the puppetmasters have ordered a cabinet shuffle. Surprise surprise, our new government hide leader is a woman with not qualified actions. That is becoming a pattern with Trudeau's government
http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/canadian-politics/trudeau-shuffles-cabinet-appoints-bardish-chagger-government-house-leader-first-woman-to-hold-the-post.

Above should read: "new house leader is a woman with no qualifications." Tablets were not made for typing. (I am not sure women appreciate all this pandering. Make's them look like they require special treatment to succeed and potentially sidelines more qualified contenders.

Trudeau attended the Tragically Hip concert in Kingston Ontario last night. It couldn't be more fitting, tragically he's the Prime Minister.

Go back to? I have never ceased to ignore the Tragically Hip. I'm sure I must have heard their stuff on the radio, or jukebox, but none of it ever made such an impression on me that I went, "Whoa! Who is that? That's a good tune." Never.

Musicians opinions on anything other than their music are generally pretty shallow. What would make them think a fan wanted to hear their opinion on anything?
At a Linda Ronstadt concert a number of years ago and she started on something or other - musta been 'W". Some guy shouts out, "shut up and sing." The Hip shoulda got the same treatment.

I saw a headline yesterday where Justin said that the tragically hip were essential to Canada. It made me sit up and take notice. I have never intentionally listened to TH and I honestly couldn't name one of their songs or even recite one line from one of their songs. They always seemed to be a fave of the progressive set and I am most decidedly not one of those loons.

I've been ignoring the usual nationalist wank on my fb feed about the Tragically Hip and their last concert. I do not consider them Canada's Band. I consider them Ontario's Band as anyone i've ever met over the years who has been a genuine fan has been from Ontario.

The last few months of bandwagon jumping has been nauseating and last night's performance from Turdeau was the shit-icing on the cake. Would you ever see this level of fawning if Bryan Adams announced he had 3 months to live and wanted to televise his last concert? He's arguably had more success on a domestic and international scale but he's not from Ontario and therefore not "Canadian" in the eyes of those in Southern Ontario.

Agreed. Couldn't name one of their songs, band members, what their famous for or anything about them.

These guys fit in with Ronstadt, dick-see chicks...only without the fame.

The Tragically Hip Parade and the Olympiks are finally over and now we can return to the usual distractions.

Who or what are the Tragically Hip and why should I be concerned? As for the Olympics, who's playing and did I miss anything important?

with about 40% of Canada's population...............

Well, obviously I was disgusted by the Trudeau blowjobs, but it merely tainted an excellent and historic performance, it certainly didn't ruin it.

And I actually like to be reminded than even a stupid and evil man can do good. Downie is clearly a racist and a fascist, and yet he's undeniably done something worthwhile with his life anyway. I take comfort and courage from that.

And now we don't have to worry about mourning him. We can watch him die with completely equanimity, knowing that he's just one more dead turd of a Liberal, and with any luck the first of many, many more.

Take that one and put it where the sun don't shine.

Die Gedanken sind frei.

Did the Tragically Hip play music or Agitprop? I am not familiar with them.

For the first time since the end of the Cold War, the German government plans to tell citizens to stockpile food and water in case of an attack or catastrophe, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung newspaper reported on Sunday.

Could Merkle be planning to remove Radical Refugees knowing that there will be dangerous backlashes?

Interesting !

Tell me again about the tolerant left and their support for women.

So, I think we know who she is actually working for.

I saw them in a small pub in Ottawa some 20 plus years ago. Enjoyable but thought them a little CBC-ish.

I'm tempted to sign under a fake name, like Nof Uckin Gway or something.

If it's any solace when Downie started babbling on about Trudeau his saviour, about half the bar I was in started yelling at the TV.
