We Have Met The Enemy And It Is Them

Well, all the new Asian Vancouver property owners don't want to have icky industrial stuff next to their mansions, do they? They have that at home already.

City of Vancouver. Speak out against pipelines, but happy to take the taxes they produce and benefit from the economic activity they generate so that we can spend it on garbage social engineering that we will force on everyone and green feel good crap.

I don't recall: did the city give anyone the chance in speak out against injection sites?

Canadian Pipeline expansion stopped by the Chinese.

Don't think I have ever heard that before..

Drudge right now. LOL!

The irony? The pipeline doesn't run thru Vancouver at all. Neither does it run thru Victoria, or most of the other cities where the feds will hold meetings, so the natives, environutters, and anti-everything NIMBYS can have their emotional tirades against everything.
Welcome to BC......at least Albertans are moving here, the economic refugees, who should remember for a long time, how BAD the NDP is.....

I have news for the twits who are inviting comments from "stakeholders" ... EVERYONE who uses ENERGY ... any type of energy ... is a STAKEHOLDER !!!! Of course that is NOT what they define as a "stakeholder" ... but they are WRONG

"Canadian Pipeline expansion stopped by the Chinese. Don't think I have ever heard that before."

Probably because Chinese property owners in Vancouver aren't against pipelines.

The econut demographic is largely Left Coast middle-class whites in Tilley hats supplemented by professional aboriginal grievance-mongers.

I love the undisguised message implying that you can only speak out against the Pipeline. Mayor Moonbeam is the best mayor for Vancouver that US green foundation money can buy. He is a composite of Trudeau and Butts in one person.

JMM, Don't forget the little feminine backpacks of that demographic too.

Its too bad we don't live in a free country where the fossil fuel companies could discriminate in who they sold their products to. Hypocrites need to be isolated.

Read down at the cities previous tweets, and they are all in against the pipeline, this is not just one random tweet against the pipeline!

Another unbiased opinion from the City. We have a political agenda and be damned if you get in the way.

To paraphrase the closing line from a well-known Jack Nicholson movie:

"Forget it, Jake. It's Vancouver."

"On Aug 17 you have the chance to speak out against the pipeline expansion".

Will you also have the chance to speak out "for" the pipeline in this thing we call democracy?

Supplemented by plenty of Yankee DOllars and Saudi Reals. Isn`t that so Mr. Vancouver mayorÉ

Gregor's backers are the Tides Foundation (originally a bunch of Trust Fund Lefties based in S Fran). Interesting to see how many of them originally got their fortunes from oil.

If I were there I'd do my best to show up and talk about the many toxic waste pipelines in Vancouver, and how they should all be dug up.

I figure that it would be less than a month after they remove the sewers that large portions of the city would be even more unlivable.

Can't wait for the giant west coast earthquake to wipe out that semen stain on Canada that is Vancouver. Mind you, with such a concentration of toxic human toothaches, I'm sure the waters off what's left of BC would be polluted for generations, but if that's the price to pay, giddyup.

Hey we're not ALL weirdos out here, just so you know.......!

Mayor Tom Steyer, or is it Mayor Rockefeller, I can never remember which rich foreigner bought the Mayors office of Vancouver... I wonder if they're still laundering the foreign cash through the Tides foundation... I guess it doesn't matter, Di-Vision Vancouver or the bought and paid for sociopath play acting as Mayor aren't concerned with who pays them to destroy the city, they may not like Canada's energy sector or Canadians in general but they sure do like that foreign cash. The good news is that the Media in Vancouver have never heard of the Tides Foundation, Steyer or the Rockefellers, which is convenient.
