About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

Owning a car is like inviting 20 random hackers into your computer or something like that? :^)
And I've got another mixed English and Italian Captcha code!
So take a bus or streetcar.
My solution? Drive a vehicle old enough that it doesn't have the electronic remote locks. Carries the added benefit of no debt.
Fluk you urbanites. Freedom has been stolen from you by your lefty governments succumbing to loose laws and minimal penalties. All you can do is put another lock on another lock and they will figure out how to open it.
Thanks Kate. ~:D Let the avalanche commence!
Solution, the old standby: Steering wheel bar lock. Remember those? We had those back in the day because the car wasn't locked back then either. Gun-key or a tickler will get you into any GM car from the 1960's to the 1990s in ten seconds flat. Slim-Jim and a window wedge, two seconds.
Automakers still don't give a rip about us. We are suckers.
The story refers mostly to automobile theft but think of another application hacking your car doors/motor/brakes.
The carjacker. You stop for a stop sign, a stop light or into your drive-way.
Beep, your doors open and the criminals have got you, your family, your car/truck.
If they hack your self-driving car/truck, the jihadis can use you and your family in the vehicle for a suicide vehicle.
Headline, "They were such a nice, normal family." We never even knew they converted" relatives and friends say.
My solution? Drive a vehicle old enough that it doesn't have the electronic remote locks.
Yup. mine too. The only computer in my diesel truck is in the CD player.
The steering wheel lock barely slows them down.

Buy a crap car :-)
not too many people are lining up to steal my 10 year old elantra.
So, you are saying the electronic voter polls aren't safe?
The Muslims, although they have received a lot of bad press lately, have a good idea concerning thieves. They cut the perp's right hand off.
Perish the thought of giving government that kind of power.
They are already answering to no one and forget transparency.
LOl, my old Landrover has a handcrank, now that would confuse them....
Our technological advances will be our downfall.
I have been saying it for at least 20 years.
if you can call your car or your home from 2000 miles away and can start/stop it or lock/unlock it or turn on/ off its lights so can hackers or a rogue nation.
They still have issues but this article makes it sound easier than it is.
