The Decline And Fall Of The American Empire

nope.pngThey Just Don't Get It - You gotta be wondering - how did this happen? 324 million people and the choice for President is between a blowhard who has never been held hostage by the truth and the pathological liar who's used government as her own personal ATM machine. The answer reveals it's part of a bigger story you can't afford to miss.

Hey, could be worse. You Americans could be handing a majority government to The Shiny Pony.

And you know, blowhard Trump will be a better president than the one they have now. How scary is that?

Yes, the US has a far better chance of redeeming itself under the businessman Trump (not reality star as the mediots would have us believe), than under the crass, unethical liar of SHILLary and her statist socialist comrades.

The US has a choice alright, continue toward becoming a bankrupt Euroweenie state, or attempt to right the ship back to a REPUBLIC, where success is rewarded, rather than thwarted

Very whiny post by Rob here. F*** off and go hang out in the comment sections at RedState and Erick Ericksons blog with the other #NeverTrump fags. Trump is the only chance we have to defend the west from Islam

I surely miss not having regular doses of Micheal Campbell's wisdom in my current radio market. He is one of the few talking heads that targets the tougher issues we face as a nation, such as unfunded pensions, huge national AND personal debts, uncontrolled bureaucracies, etc.

Nope and Noper...... Love it!

I am a strong advocate of "None of the Above" on ballots. Because...... let's be honest with ourselves, now......if this were Clinton vs Cruz, the outcome wouldn't really matter except to the hardcore partisans. We've all just been witness to the cunning elites of both the Dems and Reps in action. They have ALL been exposed as anti-Democratic, and thus evil. They mostly ALL worship at the altar of political correctness. Oh sure, Cruz(like Harper) might have slowed the decline, but it would continue.

Trump's fearless ambition to aim the US in better directions is currently desperately needed, IMO. He needs to ramp up his attacks on the MSM and further expose their agenda to his fellow Americans.

The lamentation is the choices provided.

I know many people are terribly fond of Trump but they are also terribly fond of the autocrat Putin by pure virtue of the fact that he is not Obama nor Trudeau.

Rex Murphy had it right: politics is a swamp, a system for showmen, not statesmen.

In Canada, the horse race is for nags. We got Pierre's son who, no doubt, is grooming his kids to completely obliterate Canada from the map.

Damn him.

don't worry deary, the poop will ride in on his white snake and save the day

Well said. Look how stable Germany is, under Merkel.
The globalists have bought and paid for most corporate heads, NGOs, world leaders and political parties. 'Climate Change,' to them, is worse than elderly priests getting their heads chopped off by savage neanderthals and their barbaric cult.

Slight nit: you don't need to write "machine" after ATM. The M stands for machine. :)

Trump wasn't my ideal R candidate but I'm mature enough to know staying home on election day means the end of the 2nd amendment, accelerating the piling on of trillions more in debt, millions more undocumented Democrats (illegals), ISIS infiltration via refugee flows from the ME, and a solid lib majority on the SCOTUS. Grow the **** up Robert.

Every vote you do not cast is a vote in someone else's favour. The optimal choice is never perfect.

Go Trump! Globalists and their vile Media should have imposed someone other than a criminal like Hitlery as their American Merkel. That was a fatal mistake. Globalist Media will Alinsky the shit outta Trump just like they did to PM Harper, isolate the target and attack, "Stop Trump" will be the new "Stop Harper" war cry. Will it work? Will the Globalist cabal succeed in winning over the sheeple like they did with Trudeautard in Trudopiastan? As the wise man once said, Nope. I think 8 years of a strutting smiling America hating douchebag Globalist puppet like Oshitstain has been sufficiently enough for Americans... but hey, let the Globalist campaign of division, fear and hate continue... Go Trump!

Hillary has never been held hostage by the truth. Trump speaks freely and of-the-cuff; sometimes inacurately.

For some reason this site has not explained what they have against Trump. Simply being a Trump-Deranged-Syndrome blog is being petty. So what is it? He is not religious enough? Sore losers like Cruz? Didn't like The Apprentice?(neither did I so never watched it)

As noted above by many already, Trump may well be the only one to save the world from Ruling Class Elites who will stop at nothing in order to bring back the days of rule through fear and deprivation. Let them eat cake. The Clintons and Obamas adore the Merkle way - is that what you want? The huge chip on her shoulder rules her, the well being of her countrymen be damned.

Hey, Mikey Campbell!

Blowhards aren't usually worth $10 billion and usually aren't able to brand their names.

I didn't think you were into envy!

I know what it is. You've been watching Trump Tower going up in Vancouver and that is really, really annoying you.

Driving into my hometown I passed a sign saying simply TRUMP.
This area, close to the border, is visited by lots of Americans so hope they got as big a kick out of it as I did.

I have to say it Robert, based on this post you are really dumb. There are many views of the Donald. Most of these are filtered through a negative lens presented by the oh so left leaning media. If you had some personal dealings with the man you would have your own lens but you haven’t so you cannot help but use what’s easiest to form “your” opinion. You use someone else’s. That poster with Donald’ hair flapping in the breeze is a great creation done following Alinsky’s Rule #5, “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” Because we all know that Donald’s hair is far more ridiculous than Hillary’s list of liabilities. And after all, she said it best, “at this point what difference does it make?”

I have met the Donald. It was in 1997 at the Plaza Hotel. His real estate management company, Cohens & Steers, manages our client’s US Real Estate holdings. The meeting was about two hours with him giving some formal remarks for about 45 minutes then a Q&A. He was articulate, intelligent, humorous, gracious, frank, open, honest and thoughtful. Does he have weird hair? Yes. So what? Would he make a better choice for POTUS than Hillary? I think so. I have not met her so can only look at her through other people’s lenses. I did see her testimony unedited in the Benghazi hearings and the email server inquiry. Candidly she did not come across as having any of the characteristics Trump showed. She was evasive, dismissive and dishonest.

I posted this in another link that sums up my impression of Hillary. "Hillary Clinton is a known quantity. She’s Nixon in a pantsuit. She’s been a tedious, grating, cynical, corrupt presence in our lives for nearly three decades."

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/438525/hillary-clinton-2016-democratic-convention-speech-reintroductions-wont-work

"The lamentation is the choices provided."

Indeed. As the video mentions, the selection process that turns up Clinton vs. Trump is clearly corrupt. On the DemocRat side, proven corrupt by the email hack. On the Republican side, admittedly and openly corrupt as the party elite sought to torpedo Trump and install their chosen man in his place.

The thing Trump has made work so well is he's not running against his opponents. He's running against The Narrative. He's coming up to the mic and saying stuff like: "This country is 20 trillion in debt, and you want to talk about my hair? Policemen are getting shot in broad daylight on the streets, and you want to make fun of my wife? WTF is wrong with you?"

That's what we have all been praying for, isn't it? The guy who throws it back in their faces.

My one problem with Trump is, I don't think he's going to walk his talk. I think he will enact gun control. Roll with Global Warming. Embrace Blacklivesmatter. Raise the minimum wage. Do deals with people like Putin who should not be dealt with, but instead defeated.

I think he's a limousine liberal with a really good eye for what sells.

"I think he's a limousine liberal with a really good eye for what sells."

Yes, I concur. And he will be a wonder to behold because he will be the Dictator Obama only aspired to beand will use the techniques/tactics that Obama pioneered.(and the Left can just shut their Pie-Holes about Democracy and the Constitution)

Trump is every bit the narcissist that Obama is, except that Trump is the real thing; no ideology, no partisan trappings.
Trump will rule America as no one but Franklin Roosevelt has done before him, and there is even the off chance that the result will be good.(or at least an improvement)
Trump wants to be successful and his benchmark for Presidential success far exceeds Obama's start line, so that's a good thing.

Is this site now aspiring to be the CBC?

Strike 2.

three strikes and you are out guys.

"Is this site now aspiring to be the CBC?"

Digging is hard work. SDA would have to dig hard indeed to get to where the CBC floats on coerced taxes.
Aspire? Like giving a news analysis superior to the CBC? Pshaw. What a kidder. I fart higher analysis than the CBC.
Blogging is about tapping the mind of the masses for answers and analysis. Guaranteed, ...a better understanding.

you neither understand Obama or Trump's character types

I respect much of what Campbell usually says.

On this, noboy's perfect, neither is Trump, BUT, he is MILES ahead of SHILLary in every way shape and form.

Status Quo with Hildabeast. That's not an option, the US is onlife support, by economic trickery and slight of hand, and the FED has run out of ammo.

TRUMP is required. His 'gamesmanship'has been a pleasant surprise, and a distraction to the left, getting under thier skin, and off their game. Bloody wonderful!

Lame post. Trump is the man for the time.
Name ONE person today capable of unseating the GOP bushtablishment AND the Clinton crime family?
We should be so lucky that he has sacrificed an otherwise comfortable and successful life to jump into the snake pit and clean house...

You gotta be wondering - how did this happen? 33 million people and the choice for Prime Minister is a man with a double digit IQ who has never done a proper day's work in his life. A man so stupid that he does not know he is stupid.

There are plenty of competent intelligent people in Canada, but somehow the Canadian voters chose a doofus with a famous name.

Never, I repeat, never should us Canadian look down your noses at the US political system when we have elected Justin Trudeau to higher office. And now that he is letting in Mucking Fuslims by the droves his stupidity has become dangerous.

Putting Little Justin's portrait next to Trump and Hillary we could probably label the portrait: HOPELESS.

The old cliche of Turdeau is simply not adequate any more.

For all his failing at least Trump seems to see the world as it is, not as the PC wish it to be.

Trump campaigned on, and thus is beholden to, 2nd amendment supporters. A Demicrat can lie on that scale and survive in office, no Republican ever could. Bush 41's defeat by a man who could only muster a plurality is evidence of that.

I've been a Trump supporter from early on, in good measure because of this blog. However, I'm happy to find various opinions of Trump as each can be a gauge to assess my own views. I don't want SDA to be an echo chamber. Besides, nobody truly knows what, or how well, the next president will do.

I hope you're right. We shall see in due course.

You gotta be wondering - how did this happen?

It's easy to see how it happened. JT is the first Prime Minister ever elected by a media-driven US style popularity contest and a personal 'hate-the-incumbent' vote organized by twitter. Young, naive, low information voters who had never voted before were motivated to get out and vote, and that's the margin the Lieberals needed.
They voted Lieberal because all their farcebook friends did. They didn't have a clue about the issues other than they knew they "hated Harper" and Justin was "dreamy" and a "rock star".

Don't love Hilly?

Jill Stein. Crazed Green and if sh'e just get 10% Trump romps in.

The Donald is under full attack in the slavish left wing MSM. As everyone has seen, the Democrats trotted out the Muslim parents of a soldier killed in action. The parents then attacked Trump from the stage of the convention. So he has responded. What was he supposed to do? The Democrats are very clever in their campaign of character assassination, and are trying to make it look as if Mr. Trump is "intolerant" and "islamophobic", and that all Muslims are worthy of immigration to the US, because of this one soldier... But it is a lying, dishonest tactic, because it ignores a key fact, what Everybody Knows; and that is that Islam is a death cult, devoted, long term to world enslavement and domination. Mr. Trump can very easily counter that attack by simply highlighting some statistics on the number of attacks, and the number of people killed or maimed every month by Islamic terrorists. And, I will tell you this. If lax immigration policy and open borders result in the death or maiming of ONE American [or Canadian] citizen, then that entire immigration policy is at fault, along with the stupid f**ks that implemented it.

Agreed. My daughter (20s), who like all young urbanites, is plugged into social media throughout her waking hours, admitted to having voted for PM Puffed-up Poncey-Pants because he's good-looking. "Well why not? Men do that sort of thing all the time!"

Even those with good judgement and wisdom such as Michael Campbell are not immune to envy.

All I'm saying is that there is without a doubt far more than meets the eye when it comes to Michael Campbell's commentary on Donald Trump.

JT is the first Prime Minister ever elected by a media-driven US style popularity contest...

I don't agree. He's not even the first Trudeau to be elected that way.

You have to love the terrorist couple. They dug up their dead son and started beating Donald Trump with him. Politicizing their son is a disgraceful act of cowards but apparently Trump is not allowed to question their motives. Why does the main stream media respond to these set ups as if Trump is inventing them out of the blue because of hate?

True dat, glasnost18024

Oy ... hate coming here to read another "Red State" or "Ace of Spades" level of anti-Trump crap.

Hey Robert ... I'm glad you've got one of those extra special lovely Conservative Decoder-Rings ...

Too bad most of you arrogant finger wagging conservative snots never stop to think how far your favorite conservative politicos (like Stephen "Globalist" Harper) have got you. My god ... 4 years of a massive majority government pissed away on nothing only to be crushed by Trudeau. Oh ... but Harper can play the piano and he works so hard .... ya'll all ignore the fact he moved the dial hardly a smidgen.

At least Trump speaks American and carried big sledge hammer.

Yes, NME 666. The JOOOS trk yur jrrbbbs.

Don't forget to take your medication.

Phantom, Trump is a populist. He says the right things. People are desperate for a sea change they did not affect during Obama's disastrous eight years. There are more people who would vote for the likes of Obama than there are for Trump.

Change the culture, change the leader.

Well said ... and if they AREN'T a head-covering, Terrorist-sympathizing couple, then they have NOTHING to worry about ... from Trump's call to thoroughly vet Immigrants with sketchy addresses. Which leads me to the totally fraudulent nexus between Trump and this "fine Muslim Family" ... what has Trump said re: "fine Muslim Families" ? Nothing. Nada. Neither good, bad, or indifferent. Trump doesn't acknowledge hyphenated-American's like the LEFT does. Trump doesn't have a single negative thing to say about "fine American Families" ... IF that's what they are. Why do they persist in hyphenating themselves ? I highly doubt their son was fighting FOR his hyphenation.

The media played their role but the outcome was a result of a switch of popular vote from the NDP, particularly in PQ, to The Spawn. Harper never came close to a majority in popular support while in power and held power only due to a well split (in terms of popular vote) two-way opposition. The same can be said of the Spawn but being of the left (cultural majority) ensures him a better chance at replicating his Father's reign.

As Osumashi said, it's the culture, and yes, Trump is a loose cannon populist unburdened with conservative or libertarian principles. His economics is what one would expect of a successful rent-seeking corporate narcissistic (He can even make Obama look humble and that ain't easy). His 1930 stance on trade is not what will fix an economy in virtual stasis.

As noted elsewhere Khan is knee deep in the immigration industry, with many other questionable activities. The only "questionable" activity of Patricia Jones, the mother of the Benghazi late hero, was "misremembering" Hillary telling her she would get the makers of the video who got her son killed.

Khan is an Islamist who has indeed sullied the memory of his dead son for political and economic gain, along with his immigration conflict of interest.

Why should he get a free ride? Besides what did Trump say that was that terrible? It's about terrorism, not the Khans (in the Benghazi case it's about Hillary lying about terrorism), and Trump has never met this man or his family. Nice. Remember the same mediocracy savaged Patricia Smith.

Then again the mediocracy is accusing Trump of both cozying up to Putin and starting a new cold war. Consistency and integrity are not their strengths.

Oh now Khan wants to put it behind him, coincident with the revelations of his double dealings and conflicts of interest.

Remember how the Bergdahl family was off limits until it could no longer be suppressed he was a deserter?

Many pundits are operating by the rules of the last election, where attacks on the GOP candidates were met with "just let it go," and in the process allowed themselves to be defined by the mediocracy and Dems.

No this is the year of the insurgency against the GOP, Dem and mediocracy establishment, who have all manipulated the electorate for their benefit. Trump is showing that won't happen now and the pundits are going crazy about that because he won't lie down and play their "off limits" PC games.

Trump is right, hit back hard. Why was it OK for Chris Matthews to call Ms Jones a liar? Why is it OK for Hillary to insinuate she is a liar. Notice how many others have to be liars to show Hillary is telling the "truth?" As leaks continue, how many other "liars" will be emerging as repudiation of her honesty?

Ms Smith, the FBI and Comey, the State Dept and many, many others say she is a liar and she responds by saying she was "truthful" Remember when she was asked if she always told the truth, her response was "I always tried to tell the truth." Not hard enough.

"PELLEY/CBS: You talk about leveling with the American people. Have you always told the truth?
CLINTON: I've always tried to. Always. Always.
PELLEY: Some people are gonna call that wiggle room that you just gave yourself.
CLINTON: Well, no, I've always tried --
PELLEY:I mean, Jimmy Carter said, "I will never lie to you."
CLINTON: Well, but, you know, you're asking me to say, "Have I ever?" I don't believe I ever have. I don't believe I ever have. I don't believe I ever will. I'm gonna do the best I can to level with the American people."

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/campaign-2016-hillary-clinton-ive-always-tried-to-tell-the-truth/

Maybe that's good enough for the Dems and mediocracy; are the voters? We will see.

It's official. Trump is one pig of a human being. Obviously, whether you are left or right, DT is unfit for the office.

Trump is going to crash big time. I am very sad for the GOP.

Another bad thing about this race is that the Libertarian candidate is a fake.

The best thing is that Trump probably won't be as bad as he sounds. Hillary probably can be as bad as people fear.

Barack, is that you?

Very sad when these two are the best that the USA can come up with. Probably the worst in their history.
