methinks this ‘beating at the transit stop’ trend says vastly more about societal decay then anything to do with buses and streetcars and subway cars. mass transit is still the safest and most efficient means of getting from A to B. but is NOT applicable in all cases, only where movement of large numbers over a short time is involved. hint: shut down all NYC subways.

Our current society has decided to tol-er-ate this anti-social behavior from “urban youth”. But only so long as these “urban youth” commit violence against other “urban youth”. But since NONE of the children attending Sidwell Friends school (including Malia and Shaniqua Obama) EVER ride mass transit … and will never become the collateral damage from this permissiveness …all is good !
