It’s not just the food banks but the school boards are taking on a lot of extra costs that weren’t in the budgets they set last fall. Hundreds of new students that don’t know English and need special attention.

The Liberals were not prepared in any way to deal with the “refugees” they decided to bring into the country, McCallum was asking people for help from the beginning. BTW, where is Mr McCallum hiding out now? Frankly I feel sorry for the refugees, they have so much to learn about our way of life, nt the least of which is languages. How long before they can be employable? So many questions, no answers. the Liberals forgot all about logistics.

I think on the immigrant issue it was an attempt to show themselves to be better than the Americans, who were at the time objecting to Obama wanting to bring in large numbers of refugees. “We’re Canadian. We’re more caring than others.” — At least I think that kind of mentality played a role. Now folks can pay for it — unfortunately, that means all of us. Liberals are rather pathetic and will do anything to gain power. Even the NDP was pretty circumspect in determining what numbers of immigrants would be manageable.
Worst of all, remember about 80% of the refugees were not from desperate camps, they were living in apartments in safe locations — probably had enough food to eat as well.

Appears the big three of the Liberal Cabal Dion, McCallum and Goodale have been hauled off stage or are in need of respite. You know there are a lot of us “brown people” who think conservatively, have served this country in uniform and have never been on welfare. My folks held down two jobs each when we first came to Canada until both of them got better-paying professional positions. Mind you when we came to Canada there were immigration criteria to be met such as the ability to speak/understand/read/write English and/or French, we all went through rigorous medical screening (I still remember although I was only 7 at the time), and immigrants had to possess a useful skill (my dad was a professional accountant and my mom was a trained secretary–typing, shorthand, etc), both my parents were either university or post-secondary school graduates. My siblings and I did very well in school (this was back in 70s and 80s when it hadn’t been dumbed-down yet) and all of us work for a living today. The people you should have a hate-on for are not the “brown” people but the idiotic white people (NDP/Liberal/Left)who opened Canada’s doors to people who will NEVER be gainfully employed, who will strain the welfare and criminal justice resources of this country and/or who are actively trying to kill/subjugate us. The other group of people you should hate are the predominantly white immigration lawyers who’ve fought tooth and nail to keep the most criminal of these elements within our country citing that sending them back to their hell-hole would target them for death or torture. And yes, this is my country as much as it is yours…I’ve paid for this right by putting my life on the line three times wearing a unifrom with the Canadian flag on my shoulder (Bosnia, Afghanistan x2) and have been lucky enough to come back whole while friends of mine have lost limbs or died.

The only thing we can do to alleviate this situation is to increase their welfare payments to the point they’ll see that there’s no sense in working at the jobs we sent overseas or have banned through political activism.
Give each Syrian refugee $5000/month and a free Smart car,and let’s get busy building housing for all these unfortunates. Remember, we’re Canadian ,and we just can’t be nice enough,( or,apparently, stupid enough).
Or, solution two: we offer ’em a plane ticket back home with the admonition,”get the f*** out and don’t come back”.
