    A friend of mine, who was working as a camp cook on a drilling rig up in the arctic, was out early one morning dumping a large frying pan full of bacon fat. And Polar Bears do love bacon. As he approached the special garbage container, he caught sight of a polar bear in the corner of his eye. It was coming at him fill speed ahead. He lay the pan down and ran for the cook shack, missing the bear by a second. He told me that the inspectors from Environment Canada were more concerned about the bacon fat spilled on the ice than they were about the bears endangering their lives.

  6. When a ‘reporter’ calls the entity the “Heartland Spinstitute” you should stop reading. I did. If you don’t you’re a bigger idiot than the ‘reporter’. You need to grow up and educate yourself. Being pathetic shouldn’t be — and isn’t– a life goal.

  10. Polar Bears, decedent from the Grizzly Bear, may look cute but they are one of if not the most dangerous animals on Earth. They go to the edge of the Ice Flows, regardless of how far out they are, or are not, because that is where the seals are. And they love the seals, that is they love having them for dinner, and I do not mean in a social way.
    I bought the Kindle version. It is 2.95 U.S. about $5.00 Canadian and with the Kindle version I believe at least 30% goes to the author. It is the least I can do, and I am looking forward to reading it.

  12. I watched this nature film which showed a polarbear eating the goslings of some barheaded geese until the skuas and arctic tern drove it off and polarbears will take little baby seals and people as well something you’ll never read about in some liberal magazines or kids liberal stuff
