This campaign was always about citizenship--taking back our country from a political class that only serves the big, the powerful, the wealthy, and the well connected. Election after election, the same empty promises are made and the same poll-tested stump speeches are given, but nothing changes. I've said throughout this campaign that I will not sit down and be quiet. I'm not going to start now. While I suspend my candidacy today, I will continue to travel this country and fight for those Americans who refuse to settle for the way things are and a status quo that no longer works for them.

Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced

have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

Sounds like she's ready to endorse Trump.
I liked Carly, although I suspect that she was really running for the vice presidency.
Carly for VP, especially if Hillary is nominated. She'll also do well as presidential candidate in 8 years.
Who?
Carly Simon
Hoping Rubio reaches out to her, she'd be the perfect running mate for VP.
I am dismayed by the results, because Carly was my #1 from the beginning.
It is unfortunate, because absolutely everyone I've spoken to, or have heard has said "I like Carly a lot"; yet, it never translated into votes.
I said this a few months back, that Carly's failing at the polls is evidence that you need a base of support, or better yet, a "constituency". THIS is why Trump is winning the war, because his constituency is rock solid.
I agree with Carly, that she is the "most qualified" to be POTUS. It is too bad that others didn't see it that way; or if they did, decided to vote for someone else.
Trump or Cruz 2016
Christie has withdrawn/suspended his campaign as well. Sad to see Carly go, though it was inevitable, thought she cut to the chase with her big government begets big business theme. Good riddance to Christie, always questioned his loyalty, in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy with his fawning over Obama during the 2012 presidential election, and his attack on Rubio, which hurt the party in some way, but resulted in personal failure for Christie. Where will his super PACs and potential delegates turn, given he tried to throw Rubio under the bus, who himself showed decent leadership saying his poor showing "was on me." Trump, with his appeal to disenchanted citizens, independents and rural voters, seems unstoppable.
Hillary, with her super delegates, seems unstoppable. The FBI seems her greatest foe, but scuttlebutt today is the email scandal extends into the WH, and they may be forced to batten down the hatches or jetisson her, depending on the advise Obama receives about his legacy.
I liked Carly as well but knew she had no chance. Christie on the other hand had potential but no legs to go all the way. I wished he had stayed in though as a foil a little longer but it seems he has thrown in the towel.
As I have said before if I had a vote it would be for Trump as he is the only one of the bunch that is willing to tear it down if need be. Their politics is in similar shape as ours full of blood sucking critters lining their own pockets instead of doing what is good for the country.

Christie was 4 years too late. He added 4 years to his resume and liberal governors have been exposed. See: Romney, Mitt.
100% in agreement ... but I will still back Trump as the only genuine agent of CHANGE
Carly was a great potential candidate.
But if she ever was nominated, the Democrats would run thousands of ads showing the men and women HP laid off when she ran it. You thought they hit Romney on that? Anyone that died after she fired them would be hung around her neck. Carly would be Cruella DeVille with a coat made out of the skins of former HP employees and their children.
And to be petty, she had B___tchy Resting Face too.
She lacked charisma, that all-important intangible, to "getting to the top". She just didn't have it.
Neither does Hitlery, but she's just trying to buy her way in.
Ditto for Jeb, all the charisma of a wet noodle.
"... the men and women HP laid off when Carly ran it."
That's exactly what qualifies her to be POTUS.
Were I the Chairman of the Republican Party, I would have funneled money to Carly to stay in the race. She would have been able to keep chipping away at Hillary, asking the questions that would enable voters better to see through the rhetoric of her Republican rivals, been a real inspiration to conservative (and independent) women, and added substantially to the philosophical and policy substance of the Republican campaign. The Media and the panicky party establishment want the winner picked before more than a fraction of the votes are counted, and I fear that they will get what they want.
Fiorina is the most qualified to be President? Give me an absolute break.
Her story of going from secretary to destroyer of HP got very tiring very quickly. Never has there been a finer example of the Peter principle.
Trump has one hundred times the leadership skills of Fiorina in his baby finger.
Fiorina likely will endorse no one - she wants to keep her name in the running for vp.
Christie is probably going to endorse bush sometime this week.
Are you saying you disagree with her ideas? On those, she is a strong Constitutionalist and arguably much better than Trump. Her business career is not nearly as relevant as her views on what constitute appropriate principles of government.
No shite ! There's a butt load of Federal employees that need a good FIRING ! Carly wouldn't have hesitated.
actually most good business people are piss poor politicians, or political leaders. So, no Carley would probably not be good as POTUS, even if she does have good ideas. Implementing ideas and strong leadership ar quit different from having good opinions.
