Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Having spent a blizzardly night or two in the back seat of a car, I can attest that this is just not going to work for anyone who isn’t — what’s the permissible phrase nowadays — vertically challenged. Even a big sixties car isn’t wide enough.
I used to have a full size van with a double bed in the back that was pretty damn comfortable.
I can imagine how my son would react if a boy pulled up in a car with a bed in the back to date his daughter.
This would go well with the cars that drive themselves, you would arrive at your destination all rested up.
Lol!
It makes sense. Smaller spaces to match our smaller net incomes.
Many cars come with reclining seats in the front and fold down seat-backs in the back seat area. Also, many people drive Outbacks, Suvs crossovers and hatchbacks … all will allow a full stretch out in back for average sized people. With a simple camping pad or a couple of pillows … who needs this big blow-up doll which will likely be an expensive and obtrusive item in your back seat. Then there is letting the air all out and repacking into it’s container … a job unto itself …. Just sayin’.
I am a capitalist and a member of the consumer society, but sometimes they bring out stuff to flog on an idiotic credit card rich pack of fools whose needs are limitless .. well I find it a tad embarrassing and so does my Pet Rock.
With that available drop-down space in the floor well I would imagine a commode could be accommodated.
All one would need then is a hot plate.
A good reason to put a cigarette lighter back in vehicles!
Excellent news.
With the increasing number of homeless I’m certain that they’ll be a hit in some circles.
If only I had one of those in the Z28 back in high school.
Best of all, you don’t have to check for bedbugs.
You had a Z28 in high school? A mattress to go with it sounds like overkill.
Rambler Classic and Studebaker Wagonaire, FTW.
But … is the backseat of your Nissan Leaf wide-enough for an average human to stretch out ? Because the government regulators will ONLY approve these for use in Eco-cars … purchased with generous government (your neighbors money) subsidies.
I have slept comfortably in my 57 Chevy wagon many times in 3 states. Its beginning to look like that car will last forever
Excellent, the future smaller homes..
Oh wait, so the homeless are actually futurists.
If this sedan is rocking, don’t bother knocking. van – sedan … close enough.
