  1. Pre game entertainment featured Cdn band Dean Brody, who I thought was really good. Closing number rocked.
Of course, with our national inferiority complex, you have to bring in the American act Fall Out Boy for the halftime extravaganza. And btw where was that sexy broad that was in their promo?
As for the game, a good one. For the most part, the officials are pretty much invisible, except when infractions are blatent and have to be called.

  2. watched it!
then just got inside from moving 2,000 pounds of patio slabs. 15 of them I got for a mere 3 bucks apiece, so now I can put some vapour barrier on my basement floor of sand, then flop these down to simulate a concrete floor.
that’s the plan anyway, me siblings and the ‘rents all have had strong work ethic. I also got a handy dandy strong back from t’old man’s jeans. bit of a joke there if ya know whut I mean.
    really good game. tqvm Winnipeg.

  3. I haven’t followed CFL (either league) for years but isn’t “RedBlacks” racist x two?!? LOL

  4. A good game, but man, the CFL has to find a way to speed up these video reviews. Nothing wrong with the review to get the call right, but should take only a few seconds for most every call. These long delays kill any momentum for either team, and are sucking the life out of the game.
Not confident this Orridge guy is the one to make any positive changes. Doesn’t impress me at all.

  5. Well, they originally wanted to call themselves the Rougher Riders, but they thought that would be too original.

  6. “I haven’t followed CFL for years”
I recently saw interviews where the CFL was whining about how their attendance was declining and their audience was getting really old. I gave up on the CFL because they gave up on me. If they choose to be on pay TV, I choose not to pay. No common ground there. I watch the NFL for free on CTV which is free.

  7. There was a football game on yesterday? Oh darn I missed it. When I was a kid the Grey Cup game was called the grand national drunk. What happened to change that?

  8. Well, I don’t know about grand national drunk, but I can assure you it was a local drunk for sure.
Went to several events, including a visit to Riderville Saturday night even though I’m a staunch Bomber fan (or as staunch as one can be these days)and had a great time at all of them.

  9. Robert in Ottawa – It is really hard for us folks out here on the West Coast to cheer for a city full of politicians and civil servants! Being originally from Calgary, it is hard to pull for Edmonton, but, hey – East is east and West is west, and never the twain shall meet.
