  1. You will all be shocked by Justin’s brilliance. He will shine brightly like the sun, until you are all forced to shield your eyes from the radiance of his beaming heart. A positive attitude can overcome all obstacles, as Justin must have learned from Oprah. What you call platitudes, he calls policy.

  2. You are so right. We at SDA have been missing the point. We must stand with the crowd, not walk the other way. We must wait, with open hearts and baited breath to hear the depth and compassion from his heart (sigh) as he stands on the stage with the best Hollywood has to offer whispering, lisping profound statements that will surely motivate us to change, and conform, and be real. …sigh…OMG…he’s so pretty…..

  3. And even Matthew was shy by 24 seats (LIB 184). It will be an interesting 4 years. NDP in Alberta and Liberals everywhere else.

  4. I despise his breathless delivery of bus timetables. Truly an amateur drama queen.

  5. I want to be the first to say this: Only 39.5% voted for the Liberals which means that 60.5% voted for against the Liberals. Harper had 39.6% in 2011. Seems fair to me to say this, because that’s the gist of what the so-called progressives have been saying for the past four years. So who is the most democratic? Looks like Harper was.
Now the Libs will spend like a drunken sailor ashore on a spree. After four years, it will take another ten years of Conservative government to correct our finances. Something to look forward to.

  6. Nova Scotia could benefit from Liberal spending?
It’s an economic chithole because of Liberal spending over the last 50 years. All it has done is foster a climate of economic dependence. It’s a big reserve with white people.

  7. As Jon Coates says, sure 60% did not vote Liberal, but 60% did vote socialist, for parties whose policy premise is take from the productive by force and give to the takers and parasites.
So democracy has spoken, if you make, 60% of canadians want to take from you.
I admit I did not see that coming, but I should have.
Hate , such mindless hate toward one man is a marker. The holder of such derangement is definitely not thinking of the country, their place in society or even what sort of society is necessary to support their aspirations .
Now I heard HDS from the days before the first minority and dismissed it as infantile.
Bad mistake, we now have an infantile Prime Minister heading up a flock of old thieves.
Well they cannot steal what is not produced.
Productivity in Canada will be the best indication of how we buy into the “progressive vision”
Though I struggle to understand how a return to the feudal system is progress.

  8. Nova Scotia won’t benefit from spit. I should know. I’ve watched one provincial government after another mismanage this province for the past 12 years. PC, NDP, and now Liberal. All the same.
And the cognitive dissonance.. a friend of mine had his business here ruined by NDP union-friendly labour policies which the Liberals did nothing and I mean nothing to fix. He’s closing his doors next month. The provincial politicians even straight-up told him they wouldn’t help him, because if they fixed labour law in this hole to be less union-friendly they’d never get reelected for 25 years.
So who’d he vote for? Justin. Bragged about it on Facebook.
I thought he of all people would have been smarter than that. Just goes to show you that even the supposedly smarter people around are still pretty dumb. And just how deep the Harper hate went in this country.
If I didn’t have family here and a pretty solid job, I’d probably be outta here, headed for parts west. All I can now do is take care of my own, because the entire country just spat on my political beliefs.

  9. What is everyone worried about?
We are setting a new direction. Electing a commie loving, pedophile befriending, terrorist supporting, economically illiterate progressive is perfect for what ails us. Just ask the media!
As Justin spoke eloquently about the Muslim mom who was voting for him because she wanted her baby daughter to be able to make her own decisions about what to wear I finally understood just how bigoted I was. I was guilty for thinking “what, her own decision”? Really, what would her husband do if she decided to remove it and go to the beach in a bikini? Acid in the face or honour kill her?Would her daughter be able to decide to keep her clitoris? How would the Cirillos and Vincents feel after watching Trudeau favour those who murdered Nathan and Patrice?
Then I suddenly felt ashamed for the hatred glowing inside of me. I’m at odds with my more tolerant and understanding countrymen.
I plan to change my evil ways.
    Allahu Ackbar Baby!

  10. I was out of town moose hunting so couldn’t participate in the election predictions. I was mildly surprised to see how badly the SDA regulars were at foreseeing the Trudeau love-fest victory.
My own would have been; an NDP-100/Liberal-80 coalition, with 180 seats between them, and Conservatives holding all the rest except Liz May’s.
I was spectacularly wrong, again, as last year when I predicted the Leafs would win it all.(THIS year! Whoa-Ho!)
KC Royals will win it all tonight. Bet heavily on the Blue Jays, Canada’s, er Toronto’s team.

  11. “It is too bad for freedom loving people that you won.”
What freedom loving people, Ken? I can’t find but a handful these days. EVERYBODY just voted for fresh taxes and corruption, and they did it knowingly.
Looking at the sea of red in the Golden Horseshoe ridings, I hope they get all the migrants they wanted so desperately. Like a million or two. It’ll be awesome.

  12. “Though I struggle to understand how a return to the feudal system is progress.”
The feudal system is the natural state of the human tribe. Do nothing, compromise on all things, trade security for liberty, abandon reason, and democratic plunder will do the rest to arrive at that destination. Capitalism was a revolt against nature and its sustenance requires constant vigilance, acceptance of reason and (sometimes kinetic) refreshment.
While over 60% voted non-conservative, those who voted for “socialism” likely exceeds 95% when you consider that acceptance of public education, health care, resource ownership, transportation infrastructure and all the other interventions, regulations and enterprises that go along with the modern leviathan state are baked into even the Conservative brand. That means that the “socialist” premise has already been surrendered and Conservative governments simply slow the inevitable (and logical) journey down the road to serfdom. Reagan, Thatcher, Abbott, bits of Mulroney and Harper were all temporary impediments along the way.

  13. Mr. Chittick, great observation about 95% of Canadians who voted did so for some form of collectivism; I believe you speak truth. Your comment about capitalism being a revolt against nature shocked me. I’m sure you intended to be thoughtfully provocative, as your statement was a bold inversion of Rothbard’s well-known title (and premise): “Egalitarianism as a Revolt Against Nature”. Very interesting.

  14. Ouch, I hate to admit I agree.
    The herd rules.
Oh well the current population is unable to support themselves, self sufficiency is socially unacceptable.
    So the Hutterites are right.
    Tribal is the next step.
Protection is always a local racket.
    Tribes need territory.
Trade requires trust and a common currency.
Both things being destroyed by our current”leaders”.
i was prompted by a comment over at Chiefio’s , to research the Australian phenomena, home made Mach 10 Machine guns.
Seems the firearm ban is working real well to disarm the taxpayer and empower the criminals.
From a police bust 2013, the Ozzie cops seized some beautifully made 600 rounds/minute machine pistols.
    Apparently made by a jeweller.
    $15000 each.
    Business opportunities abound.

  15. Some folks who claim to be anti-immigrant are actually opposed to non-white immigrants. They conceal their sense of racial superiority. Immigrants of their own kind are okay.

  16. The tobacco comment had to be near the top of stupid things Steve did. Right up there with claiming to be the law and order party and then hanging out with crack smokin Rob in an effort to get votes.
Drugs are ok with Steve, as long as they are used by someone who might get you elected.

  17. “Immigrants of their own kind are okay.”
Immigrants who share my culture used to be fine with me. Skin color had nothing to do with it.
Most here have/had the same view.
Now I want a moratorium on all immigration.
I’m not surprised that a Shiite like you would see things in terms of skin color.

  18. “I’m not surprised that a Shiite like you …”
Shows how much you know about what you are talking about. (I belong to no sect.)

  19. Immigration into a free jurisdiction is free. A limited government libertarian or anarhco-capitalist nation is such that the immigrant has no access to the state apparatus to enslave the residents in their theocracy. Such is not the case in any nation of what’s left of western civilization.

  20. Here are some of my previous comments at SDA:
Nuclear weapons are not the problem. Nukes don’t kill people, the Ayatollahs kill people.
