A Pakistani-Canadian imprisoned in California over a plot to decapitate employees of a Danish newspaper and throw their heads on to the street is among those targeted for revocation of their citizenship under a controversial new law, the National Post has learned..

The word “controversial” should forever remain in quotes.
One less Trutardo voter… I anxiously await little Turdo’s defense of this animal and why revocation of his citizenship is a bad idea… A Canadian terrorist is a Canadian terrorist is a Canadian terrorist blathers the boy blunder… keep blathering boy.
And the beastly bigot Harper wants to deport Tommy and Justin’ poor friend. Unbelievable.
I do wonder why the National Prog wasn’t allowing comments though.
All those who are a threat to america and its citizens need to be rounded up and have their citizenships revoked starting with Obama
First you have to be able to prove you are a citizen, something Barry Soetoero somehow never convincingly managed.
The poor dear, will it be Kenya or Indonesia in retirement?
Maybe it’ll be Tehran, since all his besties seem to already be there anyway.
I’m stocked, cocked, and ready to rock!! bring it!!
Would our hyper-ventilating elite class still be as convinced of the iron-clad right of our hero to be forever enshrined as a Canadian citizen, if he was in jail over a plot to decapitate employees of a Canadian newspaper and throw their heads on to the street? Just wondering ….
“He was also convicted of providing material support to Lashkar-e-Tayyiba, the Pakistani terrorist group that 10 sent gunmen to Mumbai, India in 2008 to attack major hotels, a train statin and a Jewish centre. More than 160 people were killed.”
This guy deserves luxury accomodations at the Guantanamo Hilton.
If immigrants desire to live in Canada and take up citizenship, then they must be willing to become integrated into our culture. Period. None of this living here and still living like the society from which they have come from.
“Do as the Romans do” comes to mind.
To ensure that they do become Canadians, every new Canadian must have full understanding that if they, their children or their grandchildren commit crimes of treason or terrorism against the people of the host country or go and fight with a terrorist group, all members of the offending family shall forfeit their citizenship and return to the country from which they are from.
I believe this will ensure that the life of freedom which they are so thankful for will be installed deep into the bones of the family members at a profound level. They will teach and instill into their children the values of Canada and live in just enough “fear” of making sure they adopt and choose to live peacefully in our society.
Canadian Citizenship has rights, but not without responsibilities. It is not cheap, just ask our veterans!!!
Can’t wait for the French debate tonight. I only wonder which side the commie Duceppe is on C-24? He has to support it because I’m sure Quebecers are for C-24.
Will be fun to see Trudope and Tommy the unshaven wiggle for their Terrorist friends.
A lefty numbskull is a lefty numbskull is a…
Again I post:
The MSM has been shy these days about posting poll results. Yesterday, they did quickly to show that the Conservatives are gaining and NDP loosing.
2 days ago, believe it or not, Peter Mansbridge had a segment on the National saying that he does not like polls and that they should be limited, etc…
Yesterday on Rosie Barfton’s Power and Politics she had Mansbridge reiterate his views on polls right after she had show results.
Later during the show, a Conservative strategist poked fun at them by saying “Polls says…Even if you don’t like them, that…”
I’m not making this up.
Go Harper, go!
Go Harper!!!!!! I love this law. It is what you call “common sense”, something the elites have no clue about.
These barbarian sons of bitches who take up Canadian citizenship with the only objective being to harm us are the scum of the earth. Send them packing, and fast.
Too bad we can’t execute them.
Too bad we can’t execute them.
It’s called vigilante justice.
Earlier this week I bought the local paper in a Macs store, as I fumbled through my pocket for 1.25 the Karachi Kid that was at the till opened my paper to the page with our very good current MP’s picture, John Barlow had his campaign ad, and he said “huh conservative, fat chance he will win” , I had a Champ moment, but subdued it to, “you better hope he wins because after 4 years of NDPee in Alberta and if Canada get stuck with mortgage Mulcair you will be crawling back to whatever Buttcrackistan you came from”, They come here for a better life I thought, Justy and Angry Tom and the CBC CTV Global tell us that, I just don’t believe it, and most decent Canadians don’t either, Justin you moron.
Wait until the gimmedat voters elect a libdip government and all these Canadian citizens are declared veterans and become eligible for DVA benefits.
Great Post Bartinski..
This POS spending his time in California, has ZERO right to a Canadian Citizenship – It MUST be revoked.
Those that come here and do not nor willl not integrate/assimilate and in doing so act against Canadian Culture – should be sent back. Period.
Why.?? Well you see it’s about SHARIA, Salafism, the Muslim Brotherhood and their “The Project”.
There is no other reason for them but to continue with STEALTH JIHAD.
And what do we make of this Naheed Nenshi..?? Whom I am starting to believe to be an MB operative. He was so conspicuously absent with NO comment on last summers (2014), attack on a Israeli Family in downtown Calgary by Hamas Low Life…he never said a goddamned thing. Now his raging rant against the Conservatives re: Niqab at the citizenship ceremony seemingly solidifies my contention….and his saying that the majority of Albertans do no espouse the view it should be banned is simply a Blatant Lie..(Tagiyya anyone..?) Prove me wrong.
Its so tough to get good help these days!
I’m surprised he doesn’t have a law suite going demanding a vote in our election coming up.
Readers may be surprised to learn that a significant percentage of immigrants come to this country under family reunification (parents, grandparents). They appear to stay here long enough to gain permanent residency (they seem to revisit their homeland frequently) and then claim OAS and the real prize – GIS. A married couple can scam as much as $18,000 per year, which goes a long way ‘back home’. Many return home to live cheaply on our dollar, all the while claiming residency here. And they needn’t be citizens to take advantage. But if they are citizens, they can travel on their home country passport, making verification of residency (purposely) difficult.
Gotta love it when a plan comes together. Mr Harper must be thankful to the progressives for bringing up these issues. They’re probably choking back the tears as we speak. He’s headed for a majority if he continues to build momentium, particularly BC, and even QC for a couple net seats or so. He seems to be looking real good in Ontario with the unlikelihood of successful strategic voting the only way to keep the status quo. With 40% of voters truly undecided, even if Harper gets a third of that, it could push his already gaining popularity over the top to majority even if an election were held today.
Harper is doing a slow burn, letting the other leaders act like political hyenas in debates, all the while looking prime ministerial, in fact continuing to govern as is his responsibility. Trudeau clucks on endlessly about social justice and misperceived economic decline, while voters wonder about that greasy looking guy leading the NDP, as his popularity slips with each debate.
Both say we need change, at all costs, yet neither can give a cogent explanation of what that change really is, preferring to play it safe, except when Trudeau promises to spend future taxpayer dollars. Then the Grits hoodwink the Dippers on the left, who should have noticed them going by, with Duceppe giving a jab in the ribs. Right now the progressives’ core vote, all parties, sits around 55-60%. Based on that Harper has ample room to grow to majority, provided he captures the 905 belt and stiffens his vote in BC. BTW does anyone believe the Liberals win gain 40 net seats in ON?
If Harper misses one, he still gets a strong minority, likely to withstand an attempted power grab when a new parliament meets. The present opposition would surely try this but there are two questions that need answering. If the NDP is the proposed government, will the Liberal stalwarts allow Trudeau to join the NDP. I think not. If the Liberals win, with apologies to those who provincially voted Torontariowe, would Mulcair agree to cooperate. Yes, he probably would, so thank God Trudeau’s not going to win; then again if a resurgent BQ vote necessary to pull the NDP into 3rd became decisive, any talk of coalition or minority would be scuttled. Anyway, someone agrees with me, or I agree with him:
“Here are the trends: The NDP has lost support over the past month. The Liberals have gained support, but not much. And the Conservatives have gained more. So Harper has support for his positions, including, it is becoming increasingly clear, from voters who will change their vote on the issues he has chosen.”
Veiled citizenship ceremonies are an exquisitely slim wedge on which to build a comeback: Since everyone taking the oath must reveal her identity minutes before the oath, .. this is a dispute over how an infinitesimal fraction of the immigrant population should behave during a few minutes of their lives. Critics of Harper’s policy see that as sufficient reason to mock it. Quebec’s National Assembly, unanimously, agrees with Harper’s policy. Denis Coderre, the longtime Liberal MP who is Montreal’s popular mayor, and who could pick any side of this debate that pleases him, agrees with Harper’s policy. A lot of voters outside Quebec seem to agree with Harper’s policy.”
Justin Trudeau doesn’t, and finds himself sailing into the wind. Tom Mulcair doesn’t, and it is not clear his campaign can recover.”

“A Pakistani-Canadian ” That term really irks my butt! You are either a Canadian, or Pakistani. If you don’t want to be Canadian, stay in whatever sh*thole you came from. Deport them all, NOW.
@Justthinking:
I like your thinking.
This excerpt from the linked article says it all:
“Upon completion of his (Rana’s) sentence, he would have likely been deported to Canada. But if his citizenship is successfully revoked, he could only be returned to Pakistan.”
There’s a thought – THAT spawn of Satan freely roaming our streets!
Thank You Mr. Harper!
And Canada should immediately revoke two-citizenship terrorists’ Canadian citizenship upon conviction before the other country has a chance to, so we never get stuck with them.
“But if they are citizens, they can travel on their home country passport, making verification of residency (purposely) difficult.”
I am not quite sure I follow you. If you enter or exit Canada by air, you must have some sort of national identification, which will be noted and scanned by CBSA.
Give them a choice – have their citizenship revoked and be deported, or
Retain their citizenship and be charged with treason, sedition or both.
Aw, geesh, you KNOW what’s gonna happen. If Canadia (y’all are Canadians, right?) nullifies his citizenship, when he gets out of prison and can’t be sent up north, you know he’ll fight being sent back to Pakistan (although it won’t take any more than a sour look on his face) and a judge will grant him leave to fight it and he’ll be in the US for frickin’ ever.
C’mon, Canadia, you’ve already given us Celine Dion and Justin Beiber, isn’t that enough..??!?
