So now Christian Priests and Ministers, Jewish Rabbis, and those of Hinduism and Sikhism will all have to be certified that they don't teach/preach orthodox Islam(Islamism), Jihad, Sharia Law and the way of Mo.?

This leak is a long way from a government sponsored Bill in Parliament.

Last year the U.K. Conservative gov't. had a report and were considering outlawing the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. That never happened either.

The Canadian Senate security report recommended certifying Imams, too. But if the NDP and/Liberals get elected, that and the other 27 recommendations will be shelved.

Do we actually know if it's the photo or the text that's wrong? Seems more likely in today's world that the photo is correct and the text intended to say it's Rabbis they seek to register .....

That said, there may be some value in vetting those from other countries who seek permission to work in the UK as priests, rabbis, imams, etc. In Bermuda, where for over a century, almost all Catholic priests were imported either from Canada or the United States, the Bermudian government must approve them individually for entry into the country and for their eligibility to work as clergymen.

This says so much about the happy face fascism of the socialist state.

In full monte secular statist socialism there is no separation between church and state - the church IS the state and the state IS the church. This move just codifies the arrangement.

It was probably the advent of radical Islamism which precipitated the move (even though Islam is not so much as religion as it is a rival political/legal system. To appear politically correct secular socialist statism includes all religions in its state round up of "rogue ideologies/theologies" to appear unprejudiced. Of course they are morbidly bigoted in that they hate the competition of any religious faith, but they DO realize the obvious danger of Islamic fanaticism.

Pretty much all churches are under state control in socialist countries already, through mandatory church registering with the state to keep their tax free status - the implication being, if that church refuses to give its blessings to state agendas and policies and instead challenges the encroaching, soul sucking tyranny of authoritarian statist socialism, church holdings will be taxed into insolvency.

Of course in most socialist nations there are laws against holding home church meetings (function assembly permits required) so the statist socialist secularism has pretty much subjugated religious freedom to its own purposes already - if you don't believe so, watch the track record of the united church rubber stamping every socialist agenda to come down from their real master - witness the current catholic pope.

The "culture war" was lost decades ago - this latest commie stomping on the church is just an obvious reminder.

To be fair, until the mult-cuti zeitgeist changes any registry would have to include all clerics in order to get to the proper target, Islamist imams.

But a government registry? Laughable. As others have pointed out, another bureaucracy and fee collection machine. And renewal every FOUR years? Dream on. Annually at least.

Here's one single muscular change that might impress: no clerics on welfare (e.g, Anjem Choudary who actually laughs about it and openly refers it it as kafir jizya).

That is the acid test for government sincerity: will they continue to provide welfare to able bodied Islamist clerics (Choudary is a trained lawyer). I will contemptuously dismiss all initiatives until I see this.

Vetting? How about just not letting them in your country until Islam stops attacking?
