  1. Cool video
It’s easily the 2015 campaign’s most computer graphics-filled video: Dragons, a giant Canada goose and a towering space robot.

He’s running as an independent because he is not happy with the Liberals:

Nevertheless, Scott claims that “it felt like we were being cheated” at the Liberal nomination.

He described seeing delegates using Republic of India passports as identification and, due to lack of English proficiency, being walked to voting booths and having candidates’ names read out to them.

  2. An Ontario woman runs a marathon without a tampon, just to protest the fact that some women in the world don’t have access to feminine hygiene products. Kiran Gandhi ran the marathon ”full flow.” I’m just hoping that the her and her friends don’t find out that about a third of the world’s population doesn’t have toilet paper. And I’ll be that Kiran is NDP!! (No damned paper!!)
Warning. This video could be offensive to certain individuals!!

  3. Tuesday, Aug. 11, Toronto Star. Why won’t politicians address the poverty problem?
    http://www.thestar.com/opinion/commentary/2015/08/10/why-wont-politicians-address-the-poverty-problem.html
What do you think politicians have been doing for the past six decades? Almost everything they’ve done is to eliminate some real or imagined “social problem”. Unfortunately, their preferred method is to redistribute wealth, rather than encourage its production. Thus the sclerotic economy, stagnating incomes, the inability of many people to get ahead.
There is a solution to poverty. It’s called capitalism. We need government to get out of the way.

  4. So John Kerry says:
“But the notion that we can just sort of diss the deal and unilaterally walk away as Congress wants to do will have a profound negative impact on people’s sense of American leadership and reliability,”
Hmm. I think he and Obomber have already achieved that.

  5. Must disagree nv53. Capitalism does not create jobs. Free enterprise does. Just a modest difference in definition, but free enterprise has little or no government interference to “fix” things.

  6. nv53. Certain politicians, like the leaders of the NDP and the LPC only want to talk about the “middle class” for three reasons. First, they do more to hurt the “most vulnerable in society” with carbon taxes and higher electricity prices than any “extreme right winger” could ever do. Second, the socialist could care less about the poorest, except to make money from “representing” them. Third, Mr Harper and the Tories have done a lot of good for the less well off with pension splitting, family tax cut, UCCB, Canada Employment Amount and the Working Income Tax Benefit (WITB), along with lowering marginal tax rates and the GST.

  7. Nefertit and Moi.
    “about Nefertit’s tomb”.
    By Dorothy Louise Eady.
    …-
“Professor says he found Nefertiti’s secret tomb in what could be ‘the biggest archaeological discovery ever'”
“Turns out Dorothy Louise Eady, the woman who believed she was an ancient Egyptian priestess in a past life, may have been right about Nefertit’s tomb”

  8. I recently complained to my wife that based on advertising; the product you use SHOULD allow you to come-out and play tennis today!!
    Bloody false advertising I say!

  9. The Obama and Clinton shysters are using the military as a middle man:
“The CEO and Board of Directors of Solazyme, a company the military paid $149 per gallon for “alternative” fuel, have donated more than $300,000 to Democratic candidates and committees, according to a Washington Free Beacon analysis.
Recipients of significant donations included the Obama Victory Fund and the Democratic National Committee. Additionally, Solazyme donated between $100,000 and $250,000 to the Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton Foundation.
A Congressional Research Service (CRS) report found that the Department of Defense (DOD) paid Solazyme $149 per gallon for fuel made of algal oil, costing taxpayers a total of $223,500 in 2009. The group also received a $21 million stimulus grant from Department of Energy in 2009.”

  10. I think what you call free enterprise and I call capitalism are the same thing.
People voluntarily trade goods and services for mutual benefit, based on their individual estimations of the value to them of the items in question (and everything else, relative to them). The system in which government does not interfere with this trading is capitalism. Interference can be very destructive, and can never help.
