But..but..John I said the whole thing swung on his tweet...

I was reading the National Post when I was the only one in town getting it. It was sent to us by the Regina Leader Post that was owned by the same corp. NP was a Conservative paper.

Today the NP is no longer available in small towns. I refuse to pay for an online subscription to LP or NP. I'm fed up of leftist yellow journalism that simply follows the polls. When Trudeau was surging upwards, they were Liberal, when Mulcair stumbled into the spotlight, they turned orange, and now this week, the CPC are going upwards so they'll turn blue.

I do like Christie Blatchford, and yes I read the Black Lord's columns.

And I do miss burning the papers in my neighbour's homemade stove that's constructed of heavy gauge checker plate that turns cherry red on cold winter nights. !

So somebody whispered sweet nothings in John Ivison's ear and the putz fell for it.

Maybe he should have consulted the Supremes ruling, which has been freely available for about ONE YEAR; and he would have disabused himself of his frothy fantasy.

Evidently John finds using Google and other search engines somewhat challenging...

How can you tell it is election season...?

A. Parliamentary scribes engage in wild caprices of abandon, sprinkling digital ink far and wide, as if composing some sort of Rorschach test for the electorally insane.

the national post has turned into the globe and mail. some of the responses I get when addressing an article are just insane. there are more rabid left wingers posting than anyone else. it is a freaking joke. they use circular reasoning and always stick with their talking points, they are then offended when I call them stupid.

PM Harper is doing all he can do about the Senate at this point, not filling the 21 vacancies in that place and still hoping the provinces will elect them, the only way around it without opening the constitution.

As for Mulcair, he's treading on shaky ground, Quebec is in favour of the Senate. Trudeau has told the Liberal Senators to get lost, they're not allowed in his caucus...boo-hoo, they're still working as Liberals in the Senate. Harper is the adult in this one. The media are trying desperately to trap him, find an issue to take him down, they hate Harper more than they care about what would happen to the country with the NDP or the Trudeau Liberal cabal at the helm.

National Post? I'd rather be misinformed on the Internet. For free.

'those people who got rubbed?'
Now there's something anyone could appreciate; a good rubbing....

Sorry. I replied to new ok's old news about some Muslims getting rubbed.

I agree with those above that write that the NP has become a Grope and Flail copycat. The main reporters/columnists like Ivison, Den Tandt, and Coyne shill for the Liberals and NDP. There are still some great objective reporters like Blatchford, Foster, Corcoran, plus some great guest articles and columns. The E-version has conservative comments to the articles and constantly expose Ivison, Den Tandt, and Coyne biases, while the comments to articles in the digital version has been taken over by leftist trolls.

LizJ, your last sentence nails exactly what is going on with our MSM, and that includes much of the NP today.

They are perverted angry leftwing juveniles with keyboards Liz J, nothing more. You are so correct that they care not a bit about how stable Canada is financially in this goofy time, they hate Steven Harper the best PM Canada has ever had so bad, but they never ask themselves why, why do we write such vile columns about a good man. They are sick in the head, they are their own little cabal that the good people are more and more turning off and they know it so they get more and more shrill. The media is the enemy of good people everywhere, they used to report the news, now they are the Elliot Carvers and trying to make news they want for their sick twisted ideals. Please go broke quicker CBC CTV Global NP Gand M and Star, hopefully soon your bankers will start to notice the red ink.

You read that stuff nold?

Dewey wins, Dewey wins! No wait. I never believed Harper would make the same stupid mistake as Mulcair, with an unreal endgame. Once again he's trumped them and they hate him even more for it.

We know the opposition, media included, are in deep worry mode when we hear them use the "C" word. If they think it's safe to talk coalition because there is no Bloc party in the mix, they may want to rethink it. The Mulcair caucus has several MP's, himself included, from Quebec and a some were Bloc or separatists. This means he really needs to pander to his base to retain his status, his saving grace may be the weakness of the Liberals with their front man, Justin Trudeau.

Once again he's trumped them and they hate him even more for it.

Conservative insiders confidentially claim Donald Trump advising PM Harper!!11!!

Bartinsky, you are right on the money! The rabid left media would rather see Canada go *down* than have to treat Harper objectively. They are in bed with the U.N., which LOATHES Harper, because he sees it for what it is, and he supports Israel.

After viewing Joe Rogan's podcast on artificial intelligence, I'm wondering if the 'Climate Change' agenda (U.N. Agenda 21) is a way for the money and power brokers to fund and usher in the new 'global paradigm.' The experiments being carried out at Google, NASA, and by a Russian oligarch have the goal of human/robot immortality. They are playing God.

WHAT? REALLY? Did the Harper/Bush lapdog take a ANOTHER communion wafer?

Ivison is a liar, nothing new there as all "Liberals" or "Progressives" are liars, their whole establishment is built on lies. Ivison is a crybaby too, hard to believe he grew up in Scotland, he must have gotten the shit kicked out of himself on a regular basis... the Scots I know aren't too big on pretentious bullshit artists like Ivison. Anyone who's read his weepy sentiments and ridiculous advocacy regarding the medias candidate Trudozo the clown know what I'm talking about. As my Scottish Dad would say, Ivison is a big girls blouse and just about as smart.

There is probably nothing I hate more than when certain people make a habit of carrying on in an irresponsible, dishonest, lazy and just plain sleazy manner and never have to face any consequences.

Ivison fit the above description to a tee.

Yeah, with his Scottish roll of the tongue for effect.

One hack with an anonymous source?
Thats incredibly well documented for the presstitutes of our media institutions.
Must be true, by CBC standards.

Sorry, guys, I read both the Globe and the Post regularly, and the Post is incomparably better. Obviously they print a lot of crap, but unlike the Globe, they actually print things that aren't crap and are really worth reading. They have a very good op-ed section, especially if you include the Financial Post op-ed page, and it's very unusual that an issue goes by without something worthwhile in it.

By contrast, if the Globe prints one readable item in a month, they're having a good month. I only read it because I know people that rely on it for their news, and understanding how badly misinformed they are makes it easier to put up with them. I really should watch the CBC for the same reason, but there's only so much punishment I can inflict on myself.
