Gotta love the inanity of the courts,the law and order preservers etc, etc. When you see former CONSERVATIVE MP Dean Del Mastro being led off to jail with ankle chains and hand cuffs like a mass murderer you know there's no damned common sense involved. He's out on $$5000.00 bail and will appeal his conviction but the media and the Opps already have what they want, a picture of a former Conservtive MP in chains.

Now we await the handling of NDP MP's with unlawful spending as it unfolds in the court system.

Caught an article mid-week about Lizzie May opposing a monument in Cape Breton which would commemorate Canadians that had died fighting overseas and are buried there. Her rational was that it didn't belong in a National Park since it would be out of place and spoil the natural beauty of the area. Then this article is issued by CTV,

The comments make an interesting read. I wonder if those opposed to it have really given it any thought, as evidently Miss May hasn't. The fallen have given all they have for the following generations to enjoy and benefit the freedom which Canada has today. Perhaps instead of criticizing the monument because it has a connection to the Harper government Ms. May and her ilk should try and see the whole picture. As an immigrant in this country I could only hope that this monument will proceed and I would offer only two suggestions to the government and to those opposed to it. The funds for this monument should come from the subsidies that Canada sends to fund the UN and there should be an identical monument built on the west coast. No better place to open a coversation about this than here at SDA.

If colonialism were the main problem, Muslims, too, still are, colonizers -- and not particularly "humanitarian" ones, at that.

Islamic jihad and Islamic violence; the sanctioning of sex slavery; dehumanization of women; hatred and persecution of non-Muslims have been commonplace in the Islamic world ever since the inception of the religion. Deny everything and blame "the infidel."

But is it America that tells these men to treat their wives or sisters as less than fully human? If we want to criticize the West for what is going on in the Muslim world, we should criticize it for not doing more to stop these atrocities.

Trying to whitewash the damage that the Islamic ideology has done to the Muslim world, while putting the blame of Islamic atrocities on the West, will never help Muslims face their own failures and come up with progressive ways to resolve them.

Allen West brings to light a side effect of yesterday's ruling making gay marriage legal: it also legalizes concealed carry across all 50 states.
