But,but,but …
“He previously claimed that “no intelligence service” could crack the documents, saying he was able to “keep such information from being compromised even in the highest threat counter-intelligence environments”.
Another narcissistic causing unnecessary death. The ‘progressive’left strikes again.
Snowden is an idiot.
Since June 2013 (Snowden flees) OpenSSL has had 50 vulnerabilities patched. Vulnerabilities that we know about.
Key-based encryption can be brute forced, it just requires enough horse-power to reduce the time. Do you think the Russians and Chinese have the where-with-all to build those resources, for a pay-off that forces the U.K. to recall agents? Darn right they would.
And I hope that he did use OpenSSL instead of an internal NSA encryption program.
It’s……” all very hush hush, ya’know”
“Downing Street told AFP on Sunday that they “don’t comment on intelligence matters” while the Foreign Office said: “We can neither confirm or deny these reports”.
Of course everything the BBC says is gold.
Imagine the increased scrutiny and pressure Russia and China will put on their own people who want to go abroad now just because the BBC said this. They’ll be viewed as fleeing spies!
It’s almost like MI6 leaked this information to the Beeb to get that result.
Can anyone tell me, other than the fact that Russia and China are foreigners, why it’s better to have your own government spying on you than a foreign government spying on your government?
When your government is unaccountable, plagued with corruption, and clearly transitioning to where we are told that the Russian and Chinese governments already are, the difference is mostly in the eyes of the regime not the citizen who is being spied on.
I think Snowden is a hero. The surpeme court told the U.S. government to stop this practice and they just ignored the court and keep on building a bigger leviathan spying operation.
It’s the NSA and any western government that cooperates with them and does the same to their own citizens who are at least as much the enemy as Russia and China.
really wallyj, a liberaltarian would support Snowden, as would I. The damn USA gov’t , using the NSA, was over reaching one hell of a lot. They are supposed to be protecting the rights of their citizens, not abusing them. There was/is NO need to spy on Joe Lunchpail. They know who needs spying on, and if they stick to those there is a chance of processing info effectively, but with the vast collecting they were/are doing most of the sub-surface threats slip by.

Goes to motive, your Honor, and assuming the government is our servant instead of us being subjects of the government rather than employers, is the basis of the analytical error.
We must be a bigger threat to the government when the focus of government spying is on us instead of potential foreign enemy governments or their proxy agents.(Islamic terrorists)
We have always been at war with East Asia. Except when it’s convenient for our government to take in huge numbers of East Asian immigrants and trade with East Asia pretending that they aren’t buying the rope from East Asia that our own government plans to hang US with.
We have more freedom than they do? Then why is our government working so hard to curtail our freedoms and privacy? What can be said about our government that it disarms or wants to disarm us while trading with a supposed enemy that it sends trade envoys to negotiate with and brings in millions of the purported enemy immigrants(more than can be assimilated by our culture) or immigrants from the enemy’s client states?
When was the last time that an important personage from Russia or China DEFECTED TO US?
What does that tell you that westerners are defecting to them and their proxies and they aren’t defecting to us anymore?
It tells me we LOST at some unknown point in the past(or our government was bought) and we are living in the times in which WE are being assimilated while our government is performing farce theatre to keep us from revolting against some sort of surrender which they negotiated that we haven’t been told about.

You know, that is interesting, you have something there worth thinking about. We all know the statist progressive bunch are trying to disarm the Canadian and American citizens. We think that they are spying on all of us rather than just the agents of external threats that have entered our borders illegally or citizens that have been turned. We also know that someone who would like to silence us is monitoring this site.
Thanks, Ken(Kulak).
You seem to be the only one reading my comments these days and thinking about what I’m saying.
