When it comes to Bill Nye and his credibility, there is something I have been thinking about for years...and it only recently occurred to me that this may not be common knowledge. If it has been mentioned before and is something that everyone has already seen, then forgive me for being late to the party. But, here goes...

Those of us who grew up in the late 80's and early 90's in BC had the station KING 5 (Seattle) as the NBC affiliate in our cable packages. On Saturday nights (immediately preceding SNL), there was a local low-budget version of SNL called "Almost Live." Bill Nye was one of the 2 or 3 top cast members. Anyway, remembering him as I and my childhood friends do makes it difficult to believe that anyone takes him seriously in any scientific field today.

I just watched the piece and was revolted. CBC, the Star and Whitepines Pictures - a tri-fecta of left wing propagandists all cheerleading for wee Omar. I note that he doesn't take issue with what his dear mother and darling sister had to say, just that they shouldn't give public voice to their beliefs.
