And who do they expect to pay for healthcare and education?
Islam, the religion of peace once again showing their tolerance and their rejection of ISIS. And this is in Egypt to whom we give over a billion a year as well as military aid.

Gee, hard to believe that China isn’t bending over backwards to appease the Muslims like the west is, but then again, political correctness is strictly a western disease.

The Dippers have only a child’s understanding of economics. I have lived under three Dipper governments, each was an economic disaster, due in the main to most of them studying the “social sciences” instead of say, economics or engineering.
Attend any NDP meeting, you’ll find almost all have degrees, in education, social work, political science, arts, women’s studies, etc.,etc., in short, everything BUT the education and experience they need to run a corporation or government.
Dippers love to theorize/fantasize, but most have never run anything that wasn’t taxpayer funded in their lives. The Alberta NDP government will be as much a disaster to that Province as every NDP government has been to every other Province in which they’ve held power.
Saw this on facebook regarding the NDP. The NDP are like farmers who don’t like the nature of a bull so they turn it into a steer and then wonder why there are no calves. The NDP don’t like the nature of the market so they neuter it only to find no economic life in their wake. It is completely beyond their understanding that their neutering the economy is the reason they have no money to spend on their ‘programs’.
Only 7 to go

Don, am I the only one who sees a comedic irony between what happened in Alberta and what occurred in Britain just a few days later?
RE: Political tokenism.
The economy of Canada was in shambles. Women and children were starving, men were killing each other for the last morsels of food on the shelves. Then, the government came up with a brilliant plan! ”If we took the tax off tampons, wealth would flow–once again.”
Only in Canada.
https://ca.news.yahoo.com/blogs/canada-politics/canada-one-step-closer-to-having-no-tax-on-tampons-173020913.html
PS: The average North American woman spends all of $4.00 per month on tampons. Take off the GST, that’s 20 cents less. Opps–forgot the PST. Now that adds up to all of 40 cents per month.
Re: Alberta votes.
My Dad loved to tell this story at election time.
In the mid 1960’s, two farm boys were walking on the sidewalks of a small Saskatchewan village on a busy Saturday night. One was an NDP supporter, the other a Conservative. A guy drove by in a new Lincoln Continental. ”Would you look at that car” said the Conservative boy. ”I’m going to save my money, and someday, I’m going to own one of those cars.”
The NDP supporter looked at him in disgust and said, ”Don’t worry, someday, that guy in the Lincoln will be walking, just like we are tonight.”
Exactly…watch for the jet skis, toy haulers, speed boats, skidoos and atvs to go on sale first…
Don – forget the “child’s understanding” – what these people need is real world experience in running a small business and having to meet payroll. Heard the Dipper’s suggestion to raise the minimum wage in Alberta to $15 per hour. That’s not going to go over well: most companies pay above that now, and – for those that don’t – the work done isn’t worth $15/hour. going to be interesting for one of my clients who has a minimum wage employee who probably isn’t worth that much more.

Time to lower the standards !
@Cal2: “Time to lower the standards!” Well, not just yet. First we have to have at least one women get through the regular training. You’ll know when that happens because it will be a lead story in the media. There will be bands, parades, banners, and self congratulation. Feministas will opine that this proves something (who knows what). Only later will they walk back the standards……..in the interest of “fairness”.

The essay is ridiculous but much more interesting is the amount of pushback in the comments. Something is happening in the US regarding race and the left. The tide is turning.
Don, from the “left” side of the rockies, we can observe this embarassing experiment on Beer and Popcorn time. This could be the most colossal, epic fail, of the NDP ever, as Alberta is the one province that has a real Golden Goose, the oil industry, which dwarfs all other business in Alberta.
“But this is different, it’s Alberta”. “I’ve reached out to the oil industry, and will consult with them.” All weasel words for, “we’re coming after you.
The forest industry has never been the same in BC, since the NDP laid waste to it, by its crippling regulations, both environmental, and labour, which contributed to the many mills shutting down. It’s practically evil to cut a tree down in BC now, pathetic. There’s more trees here than one can believe, the ultimate “sustainable resource”, as there are some areas, Cowichan Valley, for one, that are on its THIRD GROWTH.
But cutting trees is evil, they are Gaia’s lungs, dontcha know?
The silver lining in the Alberian morass,is that the exodus of capital has commenced, with, largely, Saskatchewan and BC being the beneficiaries of this.
One day, the Dippers and their ideological extremists will learn that the general public lives in the real world, not an ideological vacuum, jousting at windmills!
Don’t get me wrong, the Alberta PCNDPs had to be bounced, frankly, Grim Jim presented an NDP budget, gutting support from ‘the right’ who either stayed home, or went Wildrose. The dimbulbs should have voted Wildrose, but the Alinsky rules were in play, the LIVs always fall for the BS, and voted Dip.
Elections ALWAYS have consequences.
