Y2Kyoto: State Of Anorexia Envirosa

The children are our future. Grandparents, not so much.

[A] report by the UK's Chief Medical Officer contains a chapter titled "Winter Kills." It points out that: Older people, particularly women, are the most at risk. The majority of excess winter deaths are in people aged over 75 years ... Not having central heating is strongly correlated to a greater risk of death...after a cold spell, it takes over a month for death levels to return to normal...

Agenda 21 rolling along quite nicely with the help of the of the useful idiots in the cAGW cult. Not so great Britain is just following orders from the other useful idiots in the EU.

Monty Python skit aside, it is pretty pathetic especially since I'd wager a fair number of them would be alive if they could afford the electricity for space heaters. That is of course, one assumes those windmills are cranking out the power at 20 below.

The Brits have added a new phrase to the language recently; 'fuel poverty'. The term was coined shortly after wind turbines started sprouting up everywhere, coincidence, I'm sure.

I didn't have time to even skim this report.

Sooo,

I guess the question remains,

How many old women/folks lives have been saved by burning library books?

How large were those books, how much did they cost, and who were the authors?

-

bet this one would burn like kerosene and brown pine needles.

This could be coming to Ontario, not that we're short of energy but it's not affordable for many older people on fixed incomes or even the working poor.

It's about time we send the GW alarmists, the Green freaks like Gore and Suzuki up Shitt's Creek without a paddle.

Grandparents and other old men and old women are so damned inconvenient! We have memories, you see (more or less, but the long-term memory is the last to deteriorate). We remember how things were; some of us remember when provincial government in Canada were mostly honest. We remember educational standards of not so long ago. We know hat the story of the last 50 or 60 years has been one of deterioration, for the most part. We remember back when the police didn't steal your guns, and when criminals would receive fair trials and, usually, just punishments. We remember when a government policy that resulted in many deaths, particularly of our own grandfathers and grandmothers, would be regarded as shocking and would result in the perpetrators being run out of office and, quite possibly, out of the country.

In other words, age makes us subversives! Best to kill us off before we infect the young with knowledge.

Aye indeed.

Ontario: old Seneca word meaning "where hunger moon gets longer".

Everytime it freezes someone a bunch of enviromentalists should be starnded in the wilderness and especialy outside where their HOT AIR can keep back the freezing

In Ontario, 10% of people can no longer afford electricity. Climate warmists do not think they have to stop using electricity because of nukes, hydro and wind. They forgot the gas plants to back up the wind. Canada had around 1,000 excess deaths a year from cold. That will be going up. This is the reason I moved to a warm country, one with less government and less taxes and no heating.

However tragic, I am reminded that someone voted for this, did not object to this, even embraced this, until it was too late.

The 'progressives' and 'greenies' do not know what they are losing. Our children had only one 'grand' they can really remember, but she lived to celebrate her 99th birthday. Which meant she'd seen five elementary grads, five high school grads, five plus university grads, danced at two grandkids' weddings, and had approved a third's wedding dress, shoes, and plans (only issue with this one was when said grandchild announced mini-sunflowers as bouquets; Granny didn't get the mini bit and - we are convinced - went to her grave thinking "everyone's going to be going down the aisle holding one honking great sunflower and it will be awful". No greats, unfortunately, they have come along later. But the grandchildren - particularly ours as she lived nearby - have wonderful memories of the times with their Gran. Those were not always great times, particularly in Gran's last year, but the kids accepted and understood that their role, at that time, was to be accompanying their Granny through her last days.

Looking after Granny wasn't easy, and there were costs to our family, but I do believe the blessings outweigh the costs.

If the Granola Munchers/Tree Huggers/Gaia Worshipers have their way all electricity would be cut off totaly over this Climate Change/Global Warming poppycock bull twaddle
