Words, actions

In an unprecedented speech last month Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi blamed Islamic clerics for promoting violence and intolerance, and called for "a religious revolution" within Islam.

Today,

Egypt's military said ...it had launched airstrikes against ISIS-affiliated militants in Libya after a video purporting to show the mass beheading of Coptic Christian hostages surfaced Sunday.

Starnes: Moral Cowardice: WH Won't Call Latest Victims of Islamic Radicals 'Christians'

The WH won't even admit the basic facts of the atrocity. In short, "O'Bambi" is like a deer in the ISIS headlights. Only two more years of de-NILE-ism...

Cheers

Al Sisi knows what is required to deal with the ISassins.

This is going to get worse before it gets better.

One knows there is a problem when people who are normally savages can't take certain brutality.

Yet, one also challenged Islam in a country that is crawling with Muslims.

Come on. We all know lines in the sand and finding the root causes are more effective. Please pass the blanket.

Has anyone considered that Obama's incompetence might actually be a good thing?

No, wait, hear me out:

1. Jordan is bombing them (without American help).

2. Egypt is bombing them (without American help).

3. Italy (!) is making noises like it's preparing for a war in the Mediterranean.

4. Canada is shooting back.

Everybody has figured out that Obama's participation in this fight will be minimal (no disrespect intended to the members of the US military, of course, but there's only so much they can do without the say-so of the CinC).

So they're re-learning how to do it themselves. If this continues, the rest of the free world will be able to fight for itself, and then who cares if Obama gets lost on the 14th fairway?

Just a thought.

The "Arab spring" seems to have blossomed into a sea of unforeseen consequences with Assad starting to look pretty good compared to ISIS. Saddam, Gaddafi and Mubarak were the glue that kept it all together. There were endless articles in the media celebrating their fall from grace, with little thought given to those who would replace them. When it all gets too close to Israel or Europe we can expect the next crusade to begin. Without ground forces to stop them ,ISIS will continue to spread its influence and even with ground forces, Europe's immigration policies have guaranteed safe berth to Trojan horses throughout the realm. Europeans are largely unarmed (except the Swiss who will once again be exempt from the madness) and the Muslims will have their usual array of AK 47's and suicide vests. I wish them luck as they learn the true value of political correctness and the disarming of their own citizens. As often noted here..................can't fix stupid.

Dead right. The people who should be fighting these Thugs of Islam at the Muslims who maintain this is an aberration.

(As to Canadians shooting back: the lads we have there have been known to drop Thugs at 1500 yards and better... You can run but it better be a long way indeed.)

It's all just part of the Chimp-in-Chief's plan. Soon every country in the sandbox, except Iran and Saudi, will be fighting isis, then he can claim solidarity with his MB brothers. F@gk. I never believed the Yanks were so stupid.

The regimes in the Middle East and North Africa are starting to fight against IS because they can see the writing on the wall.
They are fighting them for the sake of their own power and to keep their own heads, it's from a sense of preservation not principle.

"In the past, those who foolishly sought power by riding on the back of the tiger ended up inside."
~John Fitzgerald Kennedy

Aw common, at least Obamba is trying his best to have an all out war with Russia.

Thats it in a nutshell, well said.

I think it was Colonel Oliver North yesterday who said that Obama is denying Egypt & Jordan intel on ISIS locations so that their bombing can be less effective. If that doesn't tell you where this Muzzie's sympathies lies, I don't know what does.

This is a war to defend Western Civ itself and Obama is rooting for the other side.

In general, the Yanks aren't that stupid. However, the scum he has imported will keep him president for life, especially since he ignores the law and the Constitution. He has surrounded himself with criminals and thugs. When Congress tries to rein him in, our communist and social media scream racism. This will not end well.

Sisi's comments would be in line with Nassar. Not sure if Sisi is socialist, an Egyptian nationalist or Arab Nationalist. He would also be in line with Attaturk.

It depends on whether there is a sympathetic military development in another Muslim country that would be welcomed the way Sisi was. Who was a reaction to to the MB. He may not be loved and liberals may wish for more democracy, but at the moment this is as liberal as it gets in Egypt.

Never thought I would be wishing for Quadaffi in Libya, does the choice in these countries have to be this stark?

Right now there are presidential candidates for 2016. My guess is that the U.S. and the world will change so much in the next 12 months that none of these current candidates will be on the ticket. It will be someone else who we have not yet heard from, who will be able to face the fire that the world find itself in.

Obama isnt the first terrorists to receive the Nobel Peace Prize theres Yassir(Thats my Baby)Arafat and Nelson Mandela lets not forget the PLO and AFRIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS Obama has the NBPP

Marco

nice try, butt no cigar

Jordanians, Saudis, Egyptians, Israel and the Ukraine are being denied both intel and munitions help from obumbles. Once the bullets run out game over, unless the "underworld" starts supplying. I can also see the USA military stepping in and disobeying the retard (obumbles) and that could cause a riot amongst his LIV supporters. Civil war would clean up a lot of this mess, but it ain't civil!

peterj: "The "Arab spring" seems to have blossomed into a sea of unforeseen consequences with Assad starting to look pretty good compared to ISIS. Saddam, Gaddafi and Mubarak were the glue that kept it all together."

I think we had a historical lesson in the death of Tito and the breakup of Yugoslavia, but we don't learn from history.

Many including me believe ISIS digs their own grave as their actions become more depraved, though their religious bent sends those with less testicular fortitude than required scurrying to assist the apparent victims of Islamophobia.

Peter Bergen opines on the matter; not sure I agree with everything he says, but I think he is right here and our progressives need a big fat wake up call, which I think they'll get in the federal election. Why does ISIS keep making enemies?

"ISIS, like many other 'violent apocalyptic groups, tend to see themselves as participating in a cosmic war between good and evil, in which moral rules do not apply.'

"Virtually every major decision and law promulgated by the Islamic State (another name for ISIS) adheres to what it calls, in its press and pronouncements, and on its billboards, license plates, stationery, and coins, 'the Prophetic methodology,' which means following the prophecy and example of Muhammad, in punctilious detail. Muslims can reject the Islamic State; nearly all do. But pretending that it isn't actually a religious, millenarian group, with theology that must be understood to be combated, has already led the United States to underestimate it. Amen to that."

"The "Arab spring" seems to have blossomed into a sea of unforeseen consequences......"

Not entirely unforeseen there were plenty of critics that said exactly this, and many of us who have actually lived in the region agreed.

Whether they were going to call themselves ISIS or Smishis doesn't really matter, the region has been a hotbed of tribalism and hatred for a millennia.

The fact is these freaks weren't born in test tubes overnight after the so called "Arab Spring", they were always there. The only thing the Arab Spring accomplished was to open the animal cages that were being secured by the "Strong Men" of the region.

The Liberal left danced in the streets when Obamba set the ball in motion, while the rest of us on record said "Leave it the f*ck alone".

I agree with you - not my quote - the consequences were easily foreseen except to the most idealistic/blind observers. The warnings of allowing groups like the Muslim Brotherhood to take popular control were loud and clear. Even so, the Egyptian military didn't act on it until the people insisted MB be eliminated, given the first thing MB abandoned was democracy in favour of a brutal theocracy.

Ultimately IMHO it is the Muslims who must take out this Islamist threat, we can only degrade it.

"I agree with you - not my quote -"

Yup I know, just used your comment to spring board the rant. I agree with peterj as well.

"Ultimately IMHO it is the Muslims who must take out this Islamist threat, we can only degrade it." - Shamrock

I agree with this statement as well, except that we will never even degrade it much by using the tactic that have worked so brilliantly to date i.e spending billions randomly bombing, droning little dirt villages across the region while having an open border policy to any Muslim that screams about their civil rights.

We have real power - economic, educational, immigration, and technical power that can and should be used on the so called "moderates".

You starve them of western goods, educations, and immigration and they will come around fast.
