NBC alters Nick Offerman NASCAR ad after gluten joke offends celiac community.

The Political Correct Network has NO desire for American content. 30 Rock has become the worthless bastion of MSNBC sicko wimps cheering a limp incompetent President. Proud to be the EU/UN propaganda network that demonizes anything American.

I spent a career working for the American NBC Network that represented American values & ethics, was proud to be American
How far into the cesspool can they fall before the doors are finally closed.

how did America survive with all that gluttan in the forefathers diet how did we build a great country with all that bloating let me think

My son has celiac and I'm not sure what's offensive here. Some people need to get their brains checked out if they have any.

So a ad offends some people they need to GET A LIFE and quit their sviveling I just mute ads i don,t like

Kafka is laughing.

My wife is celiac. Very emphatically because she doesn't want to put up with a two to six hour bout of diarrhea, nausea with vomit, cold sweat, and general miserable-ness because some knucklehead who doesn't understand it's a food allergy, gives her something that only includes a little gluten (geez, what's your problem?).

That said, however, she wasn't bothered by the ad because it doesn't apply to her. It applies to all the other people who feel uncomfortable eating gluten because that's this week's food fad.

And that said, there are some in the celiac community who use their condition to call attention to themselves as interesting, different, special because otherwise they'd be back to being the nobodies that they were in their prior life.

NBC and NASCAR??? that just ain't right. Whats next, restrictor plates so 55mph is the max speed allowed? Next thing you know NBC will be carrying the NPR finals.

The "celiac community"? There is a celiac community? I'm beginning to rethink my claim that "holistic" had replaced "workshop" as the word that characterizes the emptiness of our times. "Community" certainly has a strong claim.

What's next? The "acne community"?

"iowa jim asks... What's next? The 'acne community'?"

oh, geez... you had to do it... get ready for the sh!tstorm in three, two...

Sorry about that "celiac community" usage, Iowa Jim, I was unaware that the use of the word "community" was so incendiary, perhaps even forbidden in these parts.

Its not a community jdm, its an intestinal condition. People who have celiac are not a community. They are individuals who share a common problem. If they want to -form- a community that's fine, but merely having a celiac condition does not make one part of some pretend Celiac Community.

Just as owning a Ford does not make you part of the Ford Community. Its a bastardization of the word.

As Limbaugh says, words mean things. When Lefties bend them for stupid reasons, we bend them back.
