In case you haven't heard, Stewart is closing shop. Apparently it's shocking to some people old enough to know better.
For people under 30, Jon Stewart leaving the Daily Show is the equivalent of the Beatles breaking up.

As I tweeted; _IF_ in 40 years ComedyCentral is replaying Stewart, I _might_ put credence to the claim.
I doubt I'll have to.

Here here!
Next stop, al-Jezerra.
Good riddance.
The popularity of political and social influences like Stewart explains much. Too bad the damage is done for many who tuned in to his brainwashing for so long. If they didn't vote, it would not be so tragic.
With Brian Williams' just announced suspension, I don't think the Stewart announcement was a coincidence. He'll bring over his audience, at least until they realize that every story doesn't end with a punchline.
Sometimes, out of nowhere, good news suddenly appears.
Perhaps Mr Leibowitz will become a roving reporter and move to Syria to show his American audience things are not as bad as they seem. After all the president he shills for has said emphatically that the ISIS - sorry ISIL - threat is not that serious.
Stewart's departure is going to leave a smug shortage.
NBC needs a credible anchor...
NBC needs credibility.
I'm old enough to remember when the Beatles first played on the Ed Sullivan show, which probably serves as well as any date for the Beatles becoming widely-known in the USA. They could hardly play their music for the shrieking from every female in the audience under the age of, say, twenty. I don't remember that sort of thing happening with Jon Stewart.
My 13 year old daughter has Beatle tunes saved on her ipod. She has never heard of Jon Stewart.
A certain demographic seems to have very low standards and poor taste when it
comes to their preference for interchangeable lame satirists and lame politicians.
Stewart often seemed more like a world weary sloth/humanoid hybrid unsuccessfully
trying to come across as some sort of energy sapped Jerry Lewis clone.
This may not be a good evaluation as my attention span when trying to cope with
his efforts rarely topped five minutes.
I guess those Obama kneepads must have been worn out and he didn't want to invest in a new pair.
I never watched his program but what I can see from all the accolades is that he reserved his "satire" for those he disagreed with, the Republicans and his competition. Another leftie who gave a free ride to the Dems He's just another empty headed icon. Why should anyone care?
Sounds like you're a good parent.
