There is a lot of slurping and lip smacking when eating with Koreans. It can be rather off-putting. Here, the lip smacking has been stylized. This is most evident in B.J. Hannah's video. Hannah also has the cherubic little girl face, an aesthetic popular across Asian cultures.

Eating is a big deal in South Korean culture. Possibly in part because so many of them live less than an hour's drive away from North Korea, where eating is a political issue. As in, if you don't have the right connections you don't get to eat.
