Oh, Shiny Pony!

Uh oh....if the cheerleader (ToStar) is nervous, the game is all but over.

Surely he can fix all his short comings in time for the election. After all he DOES have his mothers brains. )SARC off.)

Well that has always been a problem for liberals and stupid people hasn't it? When do you stop giving liars, thieves and cheats 'second chances'? Put a number on it: how many times do you give an incompetent 'a second chance'? Or is there a number? Do you just keep giving a liberal 'second chances' until he destroys whatever it is he's trying to accomplish?

Someone should remind the liberals that the idea is to hire people for leadership roles that don't need 'second chances'. That probably lets the astronaut out too.

"He knows how to use his charm and good looks to attract followers. He understands that Canadians are hungry for hope. He speaks with passion about restoring a robust middle class, cleaning up Canada’s sorry environmental record, upholding human rights around the world and winning back global respect."

Global respect has been EARNED by PM Harper, according to news reports from many foreign countries. Canada is taken far more seriously with Harper at the helm.

The rest of the quote describes the types of qualities and lofty goals exemplified by the current President of the USA, who has failed miserably to deliver and whose machinations are destructive and repulsive.

Trudeau, without the name, would have been one of those "passionate" backbench MPs who the media love and are disdained by their peers. But here we are.

I know sixty year old women who are ready to suit up in their PET mini-skirts and rejoice in their memories. They have never been to a Timmys in their lives and they are pretty certain JT hasn't either.

This election is going to be about how many grown ups show up. I have no time for Harper;but he's nothing if not a very dull version of a grown up. We have too many real problems to let the kiddies have their chance. Maybe next time, not now.

The astronaut is an idiot as well.

Comments are closed eh? Surprising, LOL

How will Justin reward his crossover trophy, Eve Adams, without parachuting/acclaiming her into her riding of choice.....the riding held by our Finance Minister Joe Oliver, going against his vow to allow ridings to choose their own reps?

The article and follow-up comments in the Red Star are shocking to say the least, remarkably the article didn't have most of the story about Evil Steve...

Pretty serious for the Shiny Pony, coming as it does from the Toronto (Red) Star. He's just been put on notice to shut up and do as he's told by his handlers.

Yeah. That's who I want as PM when there's war n the Middle East, war in Europe, and an economic crisis brewing in America. A guy who has "handlers".

Could have had an astronaut? Here's a spaced-out plan:
---
Marc Garneau: “The part we had a problem with was the involvement of the CF-18s, and the reason for that was we had nine other countries providing strike aircraft. It was overkill,” he said on CBC TV’s Power and Politics. “There were better ways to use Canadian military resources.”

What is needed is to train peshmerga fighters more quickly, he said. When pressed on how this should be done without involving Canadian forces in front-line fire-fights, he suggested they could be trained in Canada at CFB Gagetown or CFB Shilo.
---
The adults have all left the Liberal party methinks.

"Comments are closed" might indicate that you can't add to the section, however, one would hope one could read what has been posted lest one think that maybe they were never open to begin with (robins111 has clarified that as not being the case in this instance).

I got a chuckle from another article today, this time from The Globe & Mail entitled "Trudeau stood up by controversial guest at Chinese New Year event". The guest was to be the Chinese ambassador who apparently had other commitments. Yah that, and the fact that it's not the Year of the Pony!

"Trudeau is not a callow youth"

Very true. He is just an ahole. Oh well. Mick would be so proud.

A revealing and uncommonly honest assessment from Prog. Central planning (AKA TorStar). Trudeau has not a clue what to do because he has not a clue about Canada, its needs , its people or the malevolent forces that threaten them.

All he has is the band of dour globalist martinets who run his mouth/mind – to them, the country must be controlled because it is too traditional(free thinking and fair minded) and still too independently sovereign – to them Canada needs the stern oversight of a global government to enforce the global agenda.

- so the plan is to put a controllable dummy in the PMO then his deputies (who actually run things) sell out the nation to global authoritarian kleptocracy (Agenda 21), oppress opposition and then insulate themselves from the crushing austerity of green taxing/energy economic collapse with public sinecure for life. A repeat of the globalist takeover of the US in the same way, with the same results - economic despair, class/race warfare, pogroms against patriots and real enemies imported by the millions over open borders, ISL attacks on domestic soil become routine, race crimes and ethnic gangsterism increases - the globalist agenda to take down the old order by legislating disorder. Ask Obama who gives him his marching orders -same people who run Trudeau's managers/handlers.

Trudeau is an obvious intellectual blank and a total washout as a PM – it is the scum running him we should fear – they will destroy this nation they way they did the US and Ontario. They have no ethical or moral compunction when it comes to accomplishing their agenda and we can see that in the way they operate at the party level - crushing opposition, silencing dissent or differing opinion, rigid authority in party ranks - many Liberals are feeling this shift in the party with the Trudeau cabal. Some of the brighter Libs are waking up to the usurpation of the party by globalist scum who invaded it with the Trudeau camp.

Although the article was uncharacteristically critical of Trudeau's obvious stupidity and immaturity, the writer simply could not resist taking a jab or two at PMSH ("chilly, divisive"). Now Mr. Harper doesn't go out of his way to have his picture taken holding babies however, if providing sensible, responsible, no-nonsense government can be classified as chilly, then I guess he's guilty. Divisive? This word is overused especially when referring to Harper and is tossed around quite freely. Why are examples never provided? Unfortunately, the liv laps this stuff up. Most have no idea of the definition of divisive but it sure sounds bad.

On his list of screw ups she forgot the biggest one, destroying two lives without due process. And they were supposedly on his team.

Dion looks like a brain surgeon compared to young Trendy. Mind you the Libs and Dippers revel in intellect lite.

As much as Harper has 'taken care' of business during his tenure it receives little credit in Canada. Why? Because the vast majority of Canadians do not think past supper time. Youth are uninvolved, families are simply flat out and seniors are more willing to vote for who promises them the most benefits. I am cynical.

That said the Harper government gets a fat "F" in educating Canadians to their real challenges. Educating Canadians to conservative thought. It is not happening.

Liberal screw ups liberal media lies

The criticism from Torstar seems mild, still, I twice checked while reading this to ensure it was actually from Torstar.

They're quite gentle with him, leave no bruises, that sort of thing.

you can only "educate" those who want to be educated, and there in lies a large part of the problem. Occam thinks there is a grand conspiracy, which I doubt, a lethargic and compliant electorate does not need "guidance" to self destruct, they do it them selves. It is the end result of a too successful rise of the middle class.

Also from Pravda Toronto, adjacent to the Goar article today:

=======
Kathleen Wynne gambled a lot of political capital to win byelection
"Sorbara, a brilliant political organizer who was instrumental in Wynne’s improbable majority election win last June, could have brought her talents to Trudeau’s campaign.

But a senior Trudeau official confirmed Friday that neither will be involved federally.

The pair is tarred by the first scandal that is entirely of Wynne’s making."
=======

The politburo is bringing the hammer down. The will NOT have their plans for Oct go awry.

" The Mississauga MP, known chiefly for her sharp elbows and her disregard for party rules, was a dubious prize. The Tories were relieved to get rid of her."

I wonder if Goar has been reading Ace of Spades. "Sharp elbows" is a popular meme there for "large boobs."

I always find it funny around here when comments on the one hand complain about the left constantly attacking Harper without substance all the while attacking Harper for some reason or another themselves. Personally I think he's a great PM.

Yeah the left hates him and they'll never love him and he doesn't even bother trying. To me that's the definition of success. Pleasing your enemies does not make them friends. There is no conversion for these people. There's no reasoning with them. Look at who they're allied with. Head chopping retrogade boy loving cave dwellers.

Right, it's the cabal running the the LPC we need to fear, Trudeau is their front man, nothing else. If the voters of Canada need a clue or have a clue they they need to pay attention to the fact he can't answer questions, his eyes glaze over with that vacuous stare as he stammers for an answer. He's the poster boy for a political front man being managed by a crew of puppeteers.

Thankfully we have a steady hand and head running the country who carries on our business, unaffected by the buffoons are constantly putting him down. Many countries in the free world would love to have such a competent leader as PM Harper.

He doesn't need to demonstrate maturity, self-discipline and competence to lead the nation, he's a rock star and his adoring fans will vote for that image without caring a whit if he even has any platform or policies, or they'll vote for him because they want to defeat Harper. He's the poster boy the recent Lib leaders could never be, and that's enough to get him elected.

It's all a trick to lull Harper into a sense of complacency. But as soon as the writ's dropped -- boom -- Justin emerges from his cocoon as a combination of Churchill, Kennedy, and Mandela, and an unprepared Conservative party is sent reeling

Governance looks easy from the outside. Trudeau, with his provenance, good looks, affable nature, and slightly above average intelligence, figures he just has to show up and these conservative sub-humans will scatter like scared monkeys.

Could have had an astronaut - instead we have a space cadet.
Par for the course LPC!

JT and his nit wit wife can't even remember to lock the front door. If this asshole gets elected, Brad Wall will have a few words with JT and his Frog following about putting any new taxes on the western economy. I for one will not pay one more dime to prop up Quebec or Ontario. Let these welfare bum provinces sink with there leftist policies.

dj, for how many years did Ontario carry saskabush financially?

you westerners always work hard at forgetting that very fact.

This criticism comes from Carol Goar, a stalwart Toronto Liberal. That's the crack in the dam.

Less damaging, though just a succinct, Rex Murphy weighs in on Master Trudeau's PM suitability:

"His stand on the ISIS effort illustrates a pattern in Mr. Trudeau’s style. He is averse to declaring himself. He prefers to leave the blackboard murky on very many issues, except, and this is telling, on those causes officially sanctioned by the higher progressivism. On those he is certainty itself. Exiling the Liberal senators from caucus he is Sherman going into Atlanta. On abortion, and banning all right-to-life candidates, he is Patton. On ISIS and related matters, all resolution fades. There, he is Hamlet. It’s much the same on the anti-terror legislation. Given Mr. Trudeau’s view of Stephen Harper, I don’t think there can be much doubt where he really stands on this. But, such is the mood of the times, a majority actually favours the bill. So Mr. Trudeau, noting the direction of the wind, promises his support while simultaneously noting he has deep concerns about it. And offers the rider that — should he win — he’ll fix it later. It has been well said of fences, though they can be sat upon, they are not chairs."

I don't think Kate is advocating support for the astronaut, just pointing out the fact that at least he is not a drama (queen) teacher. same could be said of having #29 guarding the national net, equally as incompetent, but also a better choice than PET the lesser, as would be the guy scrapping the gum off the bottom of the seats after tml games

That Rex Murphy column is a gold mine.

On the domestic front the fall of oil prices is the issue of the year. On that he offered one thought that many must have found at least odd, if not inexplicable. He thinks we can deal with oil as we dealt with Medicare, a “Medicare-style model” in his own words. This is gnomic to a fault. Unless we pay to send doctors to the oil sands, or introduce waiting times for construction workers, I do now (sic) see how one national social program can successfully be the model for an utterly disparate, massive industrial one.

Turdo. Garno. Barry O.

You can say anything you want about a carbon tax because it's free stuff for government - a tax on nothing. Reality has nothing to do with it, any more than it did during PET's NEP tax grab. Anyway it's a cynical ploy on Master Trudeau's part - convince the provinces to do the political heavy lifting while he pulls the strings from Ottawa and gets the credit. De Gaulle is rolling over in his grave, outdone by the kid at delusionary self-glorification.

Pure fantasy, not going to happen. Then again the Americans voted for a meme so there is still hope in Gritland.
