Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

I think at the end of the game the story will be whether or not the pats offensive line held - giving Brady time and helping establish a running game. If the answer is yes the pats win going away if not it will be another big Seattle win.
I'm thinking it's going to be the former. 35-18 pats.
Final score : New England 31 Seattle 24 The balls will be underinflated to 11 psi,and the controversy will rage for ages.
Katy Perry will NOT "take it off" in the halftime show.
Seahawks by 3. Wilson has the poise of a Patten Manning and the hunger.
The deflation issue was overblown hype. If it was that bad then why didn'the other an notice it?
Already the Canadian coverage has me pissed. CRTC has graciously decided to let Superbowl commercials... in 2017!
Yawn. This afternoon I went to an Oshawa Generals/Kingston Frontinacs (OHL) game. Oshawa lost 3-2 after an overtime period and a shoot out. Enthusiastic crowd in a full house. Much better time than any American football game IMHO.
All Superbowl ads being shown here (Shaw).
No question the NFL has the best football talent on the planet. Too bad '3 bucks and a kick' produces such a predictable, safe, often boring game. Except for the occasional brilliant play, that same talent goes wasted. And no challenges to questionable plays? What's with that?
Superbowl: 9.3 minutes of activity squeezed into three hours.
"All Superbowl ads being shown here (Shaw)."
And just what channel(network) would that be???
NBC Ch 360 (also 379, maybe others) on Shaw in Sask.
My wife loves watching the superbowl. She's amazed that there are so many passes completed.
No wonder, she's a Hamilton Ti-Cat fan.
Bruno Mars was better.
Seahawks scoring way to easy.
-
Brady might have deflated his balls,
but you have to remember he is 37 years old..
Well that was probably the lamest half time show I've ever seen. Who the hell told Katy Perry that she had talent?
What did we see...maybe a minute of Lenny Kravitz and not even a Mr Cab Driver? Boo...
I thought the face palms were apropos though.
Seahawks are deflating Brady balls.
Seahawks scoring way to easy.
Did I mention that already?
Perry is just another Hollywood lefty. She forbade her parents from accompanying her to the White House because they vote GOP.
Watched a Seinfeld re run.
What a catch...
Crap happens... ha.
stupid call, run the ball..
I predict nobody will go to Disneyland.
Goes without saying. A timeout to go, and a BEAST in the backfield, 1 yard to go. Brutal......
Not a good ending for Seahawk fans.
Too bad about the rough stuff near the end.
And we thought The 13th man would live in infamy!!
The good guys won!
What a stupid play by the sea gulls. They had two downs to make one yard; surely this is where Lynch is applied. But noooo ... they decide on a short pass ... hahaha.
You are right; the Pats offensive line was under big pressure, but their offence was good.
I am older than Brady, but my balls are fine
And it is rumored that Lynch will retire next year.
-
Beast making 20 million a year and you don't give him the ball,
Pete made a stupid call and deserved to loose..
I can't even believe how stupid it was. What the f@ ck was he thinking?
He lost the game ... NE didn't win it.
History books will still give Brady four superbowls. No pictures on the scorecard!
carrol snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, still in shock
Seattle lost.. New England was beat, and Seattle threw it away.
I'm still enjoying a schadenfreude rush from the outcome. Although I realize New England is no better, the lefty latte culture of Seattle rankles me even more. And I can't help but wonder whose balls are deflated now.
Moreover, a new acronym should be introduced into the football lexicon to describe a sudden, amazing and unexpected reversal of fortune just when all hope seems lost - the MBE (Malcolm Butler Event.)
Major, major facepalm.
'carrol snatches defeat from the jaws of victory'
The result from a football game can tear the heart out of your chest and stomp it.
Rider fans know the feeling.
The Seahawks needed to stop Brady in the 4th before it came down to 1 play at the end.
It was an entertaining game. I've watched a ton of 'big games' and this one ranks high.
Skins fan here. (You're only racist if you hate them.)
So... I like the Pats more than the Hawks but I have to say that the temp. was fairly steady at Foxborough during the AFC championship and the barometer took a dive so... If anything the balls should have shown elevated readings.
Brady throws hard. I think deflation helps the receiver more than the passer; and yes... it matters. Curious to see how this gets resolved.
as far as inflation pressure goes it is easy to resolve. the league contols the whole darn thing and both teams play with the footballs provided. simple is it not?
Well,
Pete Carroll did make history.
No football coach in the NFL will ever again have his quarterback throw the ball on the one yard line, with 18 seconds left,
in a super bowl.
A play that will live in sports infamy.
"Final score : New England 31 Seattle 24"
Not bad!
ESPN gave a stat that Lynch was 1 in 5 over the season scoring from the 1. But every Pats hater knows that he would have beaten those odds to a certainty. You can be certain that the Seahawks' offensive coordinator had that stat handy and that Carroll knew about it.
Not just that but Wilson shouldn't have thrown the ball. The play wasn't there and he had two more chances. He should have throw in away. Lot's of big plays turn on poor decisions being taken advantage of by athletic plays.
But it was a sweet Sunday night for me.
1.23 billion chicken wings were consumed during the super bowl.
Imagine, 615 million chickens with no wings....forced to now walk.
And we're talking about air pressure in the ball?
Think of the chickens!
Pete Carroll is a troofer, and Bill Belichick a Tea Partier. Even sweeter.
Now Carroll gets to deal with all of the 'Marshawn Lynch troofers'! Carroll's Karma ran over everybody's dogma! Ha ha ha!
Amazing stuff. Riki Ellison the first New Zealander and part Maori to play in the NFL witnessed the exchange between Carroll and a 4 star general.

The last Ontario election played on the gridiron.
